Celebrated our 25th Anniversary. It is small and very cozy but also very cute/eclectic. The food was amazing and the service was fabulous. The wine selection is very extensive and our waitress was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the filet but everything was great. I like the tasting concept of smaller drink and portion sizes to taste but full size versions also available. We had filet, lamb, duck, and pork chops all were great! Will bring coming back for sure.

FANTASTIC food, great price point. I love the tasting menu idea. Not one complaint as this was some of the best food I’ve had in the area in a long time. Southern food can be so heavy, fattening and too much, The Tasting Room was a refreshing change. I will be back A LOT!

Wonderful service our server made sure we were comfortable and explained the service in a way to us in a way that made sense (because I’m younger) and made sure it still felt like a nice dinner but not stuffy. So much fun !

What a gem. This was a wonderful dining experience. The server was spectacular, the food was amazing and the fact that for most dishes and wines you can get the tasting portion or the full portion, is really a plus. The inside is small and intimate, the music selection was relaxing but not stodgy, and the room was quiet even though nearly all tables were full we were not rushed at all. It is rare to find a restaurant where you can actually have a conversation and not feel like you are being pushed out the door. We will most definitely go back to The Tasting Room soon. My only suggestion would be to replace the sign. While their name is on there the original sign for the former restaurant that was there overshadows the new name and can easily be missed.

The food was beyond exceptional from the appetizer to dessert. Our server was spot on and very knowledgeable about the days menu. The magician was charming and astonishing and baffling. A great evening was had by all.

A surprising location for fine dining in Smyrna, TN. The Tasting Room, housed in the former home of the locally iconic Omni Hut, features both an all-tasting menu approach to food and drink, as well as a full dining menu. The service is as attentive and helpful as one would expect from a fine dining restaurant, and a visit from the Chef is also likely. Delicious and wonderfully unexpected in the small town of Smyrna, only fifteen minutes south of Nashville, TN.

I really enjoyed my dinner at the Tasting Room. The tasting portions were generous and delicious. The carrots, pork chops, and duck were especially good. The calamari appetizer was yummy .

Highly recommend this restaurant! We were given the option to eat in the dining room for a relaxed and pleasant dinner or to partake in the tasting event they had going on. We chose the dining room as we were celebrating and wanted something more intimate. Service was coursed out and thoughtful. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind. The food was fantastic. My fiancée had the steak and I had the lamb and the pork and all were excellent. I’m also over the moon for the calamari and the key lime pie. Will absolutely be going again, maybe next time to enjoy the event!

This is such a quaint little restaurant that serves whole portion or tasting size meals. The option of wine is endless. It was so cool to try several small entrees along with several small sides. Ashley was an outstanding waitress and will definitely be back.

The Tasting Room exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in to when we left the restaurant, the service was phenomenal. The food and drinks were great too! So happy a place like this is in Smyrna!

Everything about this place is amazing. Went for my Birthday was planning on just getting the duck but the chef special was the Ostrich so I got the sampler of the Duck Ostrich and Lamb and was not disappointed. Definitely recommend the experience, but expect to spend $$$$.

A great experience for our anniversary. The staff is very helpful with pairings and right on point with those suggestions. Chef has done great things with this location and he has more planned. Check it out for yourself. We enjoyed all the tastings and the Shrimp Pasta Pesto was excellent.

Well… we are never disappointed at this wonderfully delightful restaurant!! We actually look forward to eating here as often as possible. The food is always on point, we have not had a bad experience with any of the fabulous wait staff.. Cheyenne, Ashley, and the Manager Wayne!!(He is special indeed!) The Chef is actually interested in how your food has been and always checks around the restaurant to get feedback!! Very attentive and kind. It is Small enough to feel like you are special and that you are always valued as a patron. I love The Tasting Room!!!!!!

Tasting Room never disappoints! The food is high quality, the portions are perfect, servers are nice and knowledgeable. Whether you want to try a little bit of everything by getting the tasting size, or go for a full portion...everything is high quality, seasoned well and cooked perfectly, The wine, scotch, and bourbon menu is fantastic...so many choices. There are so many things to choose from on the menu, and make sure to ask about the dessert list too.

Cheyenne was our waitress and the waiter that was there before has been promoted. He is now at the entrance. Well deserved. Cheyenne was thoughtful, friendly and efficient. We were there for Mothers Day and could not have made a better choice. The Tasting Room is a hidden gem!! It has become my favorite restaurant near Murfreesboro!!!!!

This place was a vibe! And if you are watching portion sizes this is the place to try! Food was flavorful and amazing!!! You must try the duck, lamb, steak and chicken! The sides were tasty as well.

The Tasting Room continues to impress. Not only is the food incredible and the wine list impressive, they're now adding some live entertainment to the mix. We had a magician come to the table and do magic/card tricks that were, to say the least, impressive! Keep it up Tasting Room! We'll continue to sing your praises and try your fare! Nice find! Girls’ night out without the hassle of driving downtown Nashville. We were the only diners. Hopefully more will come to this little gem. Enjoyed our drinks. Old fashioned. Sidecar. Wine tastings. My friends are very familiar w whiskey bourbon & the chef/owner/bartender Roger(?) spent some time going over options & offered a new local to try which we enjoyed. Meal was pleasant & courses flowed smoothly. Ashley provided friendly knowledgeable service. Wonderful salads! Peach. Caesar. Crab cakes were simple yet flavorful without a lot of filler. We tried almost all the items in the menu between the four of us & enjoyed all of it. Lamb rack. Duck. Mahi mahi. Swordfish. Steak . Scallops. Dessert was chocolate torte the sauce was a bit too much. The cheesecake was fresh & decadent. We will return!

Wayne was amazing and he made the experience 5 star! The food was awesome, it’s a room, not lots of ambiance, dim the lights and out a candle on the table and that would help. A little pricey but excellent, would definitely go back

We made reservations to eat at the tasting room for our anniversary. When we arrived we were seated and were told there was a walk in group of 11 so the server would be with us as soon as they could. When our server came he was very nice and explained the menu and that he was training someone. We ordered crab cakes and drinks. They took a while to arrive and our server explained he wa supposed to be in the kitchen but they got that walk in so he was bar tender and now server so we understood why it took a while. The drinks (Paloma and rusty nail) were very good. The crab cakes were very squishy/moist but the flavor was good. For dinner we ordered tastings of lamb, filet mignon, scallop and ravioli, pork tenderloin and duck with sides of carrots, cabbage, green beans and spinach. Everything that was brought to us was room temperature. The scallop and ravioli and filet mignon were good, everything else was ok. Another large group came in so it took a very long time to get refills and dessert. The chocolate tort was also ok. When the server brought us our check he apologized for the wait explaining the short staff with the large parties. We are glad we tried it but probably won't go back.
