Tasting House offers a unique experience that reflects global culinary & wine excellence with a bit of adventure.
Award-winning Executive Chef, Julian Silvera, crafts a globally influenced menu that balances sophistication with creativity, using hyper-locally sourced ingredients for the A la carte menu & his 15-course tasting menu. Thoughtful wine parings are recommended for each menu item, enhancing flavors of both the food and wine (think 1+1=3). With 65+ wines offered by the glass 1,000 by the bottle, guests have the option to try wines they may not have experienced previously. The chef's tasting menu combined with the extensive by the glass wine list creates a sense of adventure atmosphere. The space evokes the charm of a European wine bistro. Candlelight and live jazz set the stage for an unforgettable experience. Children are welcome on the patio. Bistro & Champagne Bar seat adults only.

The Tasting House is right across Saratoga-Los Gatos road from the Los Gatos & University Bus Stop. Just walk down to University, cross the street, and head back up towards City Parking Lot 1. Walk into the parking lot and enter the Tasting House through our back entrance.

The food here is outstanding! We had the corn soup and it was absolutely delicious. The spring lamb was cooked perfectly. The service was excellent and the wine pairings spot on. This continues to be our favorite spot!

We did the chef's tasting menu with both wine and non-alcoholic beverage pairings. It was an insane amount of courses (something like 16) with 12 beverage pairings. Service was excellent and though not all wine pairings were for us, we had an amazing time with some very innovative courses from the chef. It was really fun!

Friday night with friends: the tiniest portions I have ever seen, the salad was tasteless, the live music much too loud. Couldn't really have a conversation because of overwhelming, pounding noise. Overall, everyone was hungry but exhausted. Never again.

We love it here. We sat outside and soaked up the sun as we enjoyed a flight of rosé with some fries. Chef blessed us with some marigold iced cream. Smashing.

Tasting House was amazing from the moment we arrived until we left happy, hours later. We started off with a glass of some of the best Champagne I’ve ever had in my life in the beautiful champagne bar. The staff then moved us to our table in the main dining room where musicians were playing live jazz music and the lighting and ambience were perfect. We decided to try the chef’s tasting menu and if you have an opportunity to do the same, I would highly recommend it… It blows away comparable experiences at much more expensive restaurants that we’ve experienced all around the world. The main highlight, though, after mentioning all of this, is the food. The chef is incredibly talented, and many of the dishes were delivered by him, which gave him an opportunity to explain the amazing ingredients that he has sourced in sustainable, healthy ways from right here in Northern California. His creativity with food is wonderful, and every dish was presented perfectly. We will be back!
