What a gem of a place! If I could rate it 6 stars I would. Lovely ambience, fantastic, friendly service and great cheese board (and wine!). Will definitely be back
We got there and they were closed for a private event and we got a reservation on open table
They said they forgot to close the calendar
Outstanding wine selections; wonderful to be able to taste different wines by the half glass (create your own wine flight of sorts). Paul was amazing and most gracious at guiding us towards wines of interest, and making recommendations. Food pairings were sophisticated and fun (charcuterie platter, meatballs). The space has a modern and open decor; very cool ambience. My new fav!
Excellent service, nice staff and great wine :) recommend their orange wine!
Paul is fantastic. Perhaps the best service I’ve had period.
It was "fine." Fine. Cozy and comfortable, but not as special as I had hoped. With the amount of competition, you have to be special. I did like the space (recently won an award).
Our service here was outstanding; very attentive, very friendly, very helpful recommendations. This place clearly knows their stuff when it comes to wines, and the wine was very nice. The food left something to be desired, unfortunately: small portions, under-seasoned. The service was so good that I might give it another chance, or maybe just go for the drinks and not food!
Some of the food very good and some not so good. Waitress was very nice. There are never enough servers here. As we were finishing three additional people showed up. Had to wait 15 min from the time we ordered to get chip and dip. Did not want it all to come out together.
The wine was awesome but the food was bad. It was overpriced and nothing like the description. The whole restaurant smelled like canola oil. Recommend if you’re looking for a good glass of wine but eat somewhere else.
We made reservation on OpenTable because we had a show to go to and when we got there, there wasn't a person we could even talk to at the front of the house. We told the bartender that we had reservations on OpenTable and the response was a smile and a nod, and then we got ignored for about 10 minutes while she went around and served other people at the bar. The next person we found told us they were new to OpenTable and didn't actually have a reservation for us, but they could find us a place.
Once we were actually seated, the service was good and were able to get us the food quickly when we told them we were going to a show. It is a cool, well decorated place. Wine list was good, food was decent, but overpriced for what it was (stick to the small plates).
If we go back, won't be with a time deadline and not sure the utility of using open table.
Great little place. We wanted a low key Sat evening had found it to be perfect. Got the gnocchi, iceberg salad and a selection of cheeses, paired with really nice wines. Two suggestions: 1) keep the kitchen open till 10p, at least for the simple stuff like the toasts and the cheeses, and 2) add one easy dessert like a chocolate mousse to the menu. Nonetheless, would highly recommend.
I’ve been here previously on a Friday with a Gilt Charceturie/Bottle of wine deal. Tonight I came on a Saturday and it was much more quiet. Charcuterie is a reasonable price, but glasses/bottle of wine are more pricy w/our a deal
Fantastic food, wine and service. A real enoteca in the heart of downtown. Will be back for sure
