As Taste of India enters its 27th year, in the heart of Staten Island, it continues to offer a sophisticated fine dining experience with effortlessly charming staff and discreet service. It is the reinvented combination of a restaurant, lounge, bar, and "INDUS" private event space.
At Taste of India, we invite you to take a culinary journey through India, to savor and discover new ingredients and dishes.
Really nice restaurant , very good decor and even better food! Very filling !
Good food, good service. Can get noisy when it's crowded. Definitely worth checking out
Amazing food and atmosphere. If you have never tried Indian food before you should try this place because you will not be disappointed. Friendly staff and very clean business.
Thanks for a great meal! The service was wonderful! I can’t wait to come back!
Fabulous food. Great service. Lovely atmosphere. We are sure to return. Highly recommended.
We are regulars at Taste of India, but our last visit was one of our most enjoyable dinners. We tried new dishes this visit including one of the specials. Food was excellent, and service, as always, was outstanding. The staff is very nice and attentive. We have yet to be disappointed at this restaurant as food and service is consistently good.
Delicious as usual. Taste of India never disappoints.
I dnt no why they charge tip ownself they dnt tell to costumer tip is include 18 % if we give them more they fix it 18 % its very bad I recommend to my circle peoples dnt go there its little expensive or that problem
Apprehensive considering an Indian restaurant on staten island. Was an excellent dinner including service and ambiance. No need to go to the big city. Will frequent this establishment and suggest it to all.
Taste of India II, is fantastic! We will definitely be back.
Good service. And Food
Beautiful room, great service , food was good . My first time there . I would definitely try again.
Amazing everything is all I can say. I can’t wait to go back.
I have been here last Saturday. I never tried Indian food before, this is my first time. I loved it and recommend it.
New Year’s Eve Dinner
Authentic Indian food with a large variety of appetizers, salads, Naan breads, entrees, desserts and cocktails. The prices are fair and the ambience is lovely. The staff is both friendly and helpful. I’ve been dining at this restaurant for five years and I’ll continue to dine there and recommend it to others. Some of my favorites include their vegetable pakoras, vegetable samosas, lamb saag and chicken tikka Marsala. Go and enjoy!
It was a great date night. Food presentation was beautiful and delicious
As always, terrific experience, delicious food. Sunday there is a buffet. Great way to try different items on the menu that I was curious about and able to enjoy to order at another time. Love this restaurant, always been a favorite of mine. Highly recommend.
It was a good experience, good food, good service
Taste of India II has been a family favorite for years, and continues to be. The food is always delicious and the space is beautiful.
Varied menu, excellent food. Had lamb chops, wife had veg dish, both very goog.
I order or visit this restaurant frequently, but they are, unfortunately, inconsistent. Took a friend out for their birthday - they were kind enough to bring cake and sing. The cake was very cold and hard to eat with a fork. The lamb was so tough we couldn’t cut it with the knife on the table. Chicken in the chicken korma was pink inside. Just a little disappointed this time.
Every time we go here the food is outstanding. Some of the best Indian food I have eaten. We come here pretty frequently and will keep coming. It would be even better if the service improved. Often wait a long time for drinks and sometimes for food to come to the table.
I LOVE the food @ Taste of India. On weekends there is a buffet that is fantastic. Highly recommend. Owner and staff are very friendly. Great place
The food is actually amazing. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the crab meat is imitation- I am not a fan of that and would not have ordered the seafood/crab masala if the menu hadn't concealed this. The shrimp were outstanding. The restaurant and bathrooms are beautiful. My vegan boyfriend was super thrilled with all that was available to him and he wants to go back frequently. Best vegetable Samosas we have ever had. The service could use improvement- granted they were busy, but they could have acknowledged us instead of ignoring us for 15 minutes in the beginning and while everyone else was eating but us. However, we will definitely be going back, and hopefully soon.
Love taste of India!! Ordered two new special items that were fantastic. The vegetable balls in coconut curry sauce and chicken in a ground cashew, ginger and garlic sauce that was perfect for my daughters.
Staff is amazing and incredible prices for what you get. Can’t wait to go back.
Great food for a great price...perfect for sharing
great food, great service. They don't disappoint. Great for girls night or a date night
Very nice dinner experience.
Food is good.
I will visit again.
We often go and live taste of India II. Ordered a special we never had before that was excellent. The sweet and sour cauliflower. Mixed vegetables were deliciously spiced and naan bread warm and buttery. We all love the flax crackers and dips they put on the table to start.
What a lovely way to celebrate our anniversary. The food at Taste of India is consistently great. We are long time customers.
Great fresh food and fantastic value!!! Best Indian on the Island.
Delicious food. Very clean. Always consistent. Great neighborhood restaurant.
It took forever for us to get our bread when we were seated way before many others who did. One of the waiters kept staring at my friend which made her uncomfortable for a while. The food tasted amazing though.
Expected authentic Indian food but was disappointed. Ordered the meat platters but the chicken was tasteless . The shrimp was also not worth $25 ! Again no flavor. This place probably caters more to the Non Indian crowd. Only thing we really liked was the kachori chaat! Nice, fresh, amazing!
Lovely place. Quiet atmosphere. delicious food. Never disappointed...
Taste of India II is the best Indian Restaurant on Staten Island. The restaurant excels in every in every area, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for everyone! 10 out of 10.
We love this restaurant as food and service never disappoint. Good job, please keep it up!
This was my second visit to Taste of India II. On my first visit, I ordered my favorite dish, Lamb Kurma and found it to be one of the best I ever had. On this visit, I ordered Lamb Vindaloo but found it to be too vinegary. It was also very hot (spicy), but that's my fault for not specifying to the waiter to tone it down when he asked my preference. My dinner companions all enjoyed their dishes which were various curries and kurmas. We also had appetizers of samosa and vegetable fritters which were excellent. They also have a wide selection of Indian breads.
