   Lou’s is a perfect dining alternative if looking for a respite from traditional Yucatan cuisine in Merida. My wife ordered the teres major steak and I had the double pork chop. Both delicious! Bruce the owner, is a warm and welcoming host that offers recommendations (and stories). All in all, a great dining experience in Merida.

   Merida doesn't have a lot of great restaurants. This is one. But low-key. A favorite of expats who now live in the city. Canadian beef is excellent. Pork Chop is outstanding as well. Service was great, congenial. A very, very pleasant experience.

   I really enjoy Taste at Lou’s, I’ve been there four times in my three week self catering casita stay in Mérida. The servers are welcoming and inviting, very knowledgeable regarding any food requests for dietary restrictions, an overall very friendly vibe. Every second Sunday there is live music beginning at 6:30. Very enjoyable, easy listening tunes to dine to. I’d encourage everyone to try it out!

   Una buenas experiencia, solo no estaban disponibles las pizzas y pastas lo que limito nuestras opciones, aún así los platillos muy bien servidos y deliciosos. El servicio y la atención muy buena. Definitivamente volveremos

   El servicio y la comida eran simplemente sublimes. Soy viejo, muy viejo, incluso antiguo y la comida de esta noche fue la mejor de mi vida.

   Lou is still holding forth on the floor, the new chef/owner is a Canadian and certain of the restaurants impending success. Based on my Sunday visit for Prime Rib Night, it does seem certain. Fine Shrimp Bisque and a Wedge Salad lead to a quality piece of meat with authentic Horseradish and jus. I truly can’t speak to any other night, but it appears I may need to book a considerable time ahead before returning to Merida in January! Have much success Bruce!

   While we were sad to the former owners of Lou’s go, we really pleased with our experience there with new owner/chef, Bruce. The cuisine is a welcome change - sort of sophisticated home-style fare. There are many options and Bruce is happy to discuss any preferences you have, in fact I’d say he actually welcomes it. We look forward to returning!

   An intimate restaurant serving international, I.e. gringo food with a sweet bar and excellent mixed drinks. Very small and the tables fill quickly so reservations are a must.

    I would love to give a 5 star review but it’s not a 5 star place. It did have a full house of expats. The owner was trying but there is just so much one person can do. My first coarse was bang bang shrimp and then burrata which was very good. For our main course we had the pork chop and carbonara. They were both good, the carbonara could have had more flavor. The wine was not good. They had a hard time keeping up with everyone. They are new, I’m going to give them another chance.
