Tasca Tasca Tapas Restaurant and Wine Bar
Smoked Duck Breast
Quick Fried Green Beans
Lovely! Get the morcela.
Everything was outstanding. Portion size is excellent for tapas.
They probably under staffs, when we arrived with reservation still have to wait about 20-30 mins before we can sit down. But understandable because of Covid and staff shortage. We order 7 and 3 items just trying to try everything, the oyster wasnt too fresh, very salty and already warm when it come out,.we order the sobert for dessert its just frozen apple sauce. But the pork slider, empanade, sea bass ceviche, smoke duck breast are good.
Tasty and fun! Love the variety and very reasonably priced - great service!
Tasca Tasca was a wonderful surprise! I really didn't know what to expect even after looking at the menu online. We sat at the bar and the bartender did a great job of describing the dishes, how much to order and sharing his favorite items. The tapas were beautifully presented and all were delicious, even those I considered a little adventurous (try the spicy pig's ears!). It was a wonderful time, great service and a nice change from playing it safe. Try Tasca Tasca!
Interesting to have seven small dishes for lunch !
An all around very good experience: good food, friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. We look forward to another visit.
Delicious tapas -- so many to choose from. Great drink selections as well. Relaxing place to savor flavors of Portugal!
Great place , food was outstanding service was great wonderful friendly staff and who doesn’t love Portuguese food as a fellow Portuguese person I appreciate the menu the presentation and the quality of food. Great place for date night or a group of friends. Came from 1.5 hours away and it was worth the drive. It’s a great place to have people get a taste of Portuguese food and not be overwhelmed and order one dish when you can taste it all.
obrigado - to the chef and staff , until next time
While the food here is not as refined as at their sister restaurant La Salette, the Portugese tapas are tasty and inventive. The wine list offers an opportunity to explore wines from Portugal and the service is friendly. With moderate prices, this is a good place for a more casual lunch or dinner.
Everything we had was amazing. We ordered the 7 dish meal and can’t imagine what we would leave out next time. Faves were: beet salad, fried green beans, patatas bravas, cod cakes, crab empanadas, pulled pork sliders and piri piri chicken wings. I can’t even begin to rank the order, but it was more than enough for the 2 of us, and we polished off a bottle of the Alvarinho to go with it. Terrific service, great pricing, flavorful food. We’ll definitely be back. What a gem to find in Sonoma!
Homemade food cooked to order. Great selection of small plates and outstanding taste
Fun spot for a casual bite, yummy food and great wine list!
Everything is excellent!! Especially loved the passionfruit mousse.
We were really excited to try this spot since we have been to Portugal. unfortunately it wasn’t what it could have been. The wait staff weren’t attentive and they weren’t knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant or the menu it self. the dishes were underwhelming. they gave us drinks and never checked on us until we started receiving our food in shifts. I had to get up to ask for more water for the table. They kitchen was busy but the wait staff were just hangout by the bar instead of making the rounds checking on their tables.
Everything was great, we ordered the 7 item for the two of us, and each dish was delicious. Service was outstanding, as well.
It was a good visit, something new to my guests experience.
What’s nice is, we get to taste almost all of their food by ordering their 2 of their 7 items meal.
I would go for a glass of wine and maybe 1 or 2 small plates.
Outstanding food and experience!
Food is great, and a nice selection of port, as well.
Fantastic as always! Love Tasca Tasca and everything about it.,such great food and great selections for everyone. Service was terrific too. And now they have a full bar. Definitely coming back again and again. Great owner and it shows with all the staff. A true treasure in Sonoma.
There were 3 of us and we ordered a 7 item tray. We really enjoyed the duck breast, tripe, spicy pig ears, salt cod cakes and Piri Piri potatoes. The tripe and duck breast were so good we ordered a second team of 3 items. There were many more things to choose from for our next trip.
Very good food, nice and competent service. Will definitely return
Delicious food and reasonably priced. Really enjoyed it. This was as expected since dining at the sister restaurant, La Salette, was also delightful.
Great service but a limited menu and not enough variety to have an equivalent to dinner via small plates
Tasca Tasca is our favorite restaurant in wine country. The food is spectacular at a reasonable value & we really appreciate they keep their doors open later than most places. We will always revisit.
Love everything about this restaurant. The prices are so reasonable and having authentic Portuguese food in such a pretty little restaurant is a great experience!
It is a fun different dining experience. Food is very good. Location is perfect. My only request would be more umbrellas; the sun beats on the little patio area and some tables are more exposed than others. A great place and I look forward to my next visit.
Great! Wonderful food and service!
Amazing dinner as always. Tasca never disappoints and the variety of dishes to share was delicious. The lineup of Steak tartar, Sliders, Shishito peppers,Blood Sausage, potatoes, Smoked Duck... AMAZING!!!
We had a great lunch at Tasca. Each item was delicious, and we shared the 7-item choices, which was just right for two of us. Our favorites were the sliders and the crisp potatoes with saffron aioli, but each dish was excellent. Outdoor dining on the sidewalk made for COVID safe dining, but there is heavy street traffic, so it’s noisy, but we enjoyed the meal so much, we came to ignore it. Service was outstanding, as well. We will return for sure, as the quality and flavors were outstanding, as is the fine dining sister restaurant, La Salette, on the other side of the plaza.
Outdoor seating only so dress warm. No heaters. But the service is great! Staff are very attentive and friendly. They even offered my wife a clean blanket to keep her legs warm while we were eating. The food was great. We ordered empanada (can have ten of those), sishito peppers (i liked it, wife did not because it wass “too simple”), goat stew X2 (cuz it was so good esp during cold weather), mac and cheese (kinda dry), beet salad (great and fresh), duck breast (tastes like cured ham), piri wings (buffalo wings on crack), pig ears (interesting but would’ve been better if the sauce was a dipping sauce to preserve crunchiness), and rice pudding (so good; reminded us of rice milk when we were in the philippines). And they seem to have a good list of wine, beer and ciders. The cost is where you’ll be blown away: $64 for all the food! Definitely the cheapest post Valentine date we’ve ever done. But we still felt like it was a special dinner. Highly recommend this place.
Cute little spot right off the main square of the Sonoma Plaza. Service was good. The food was a little slow to come out to us, but they were busy, so they get a pass. The menu had many choices, and the prices were not that bad considering the area. Food was solid, nothing to rave but solid. The wine we had was amazing. We would go back.
Very slow service, mediocre food, noisy outdoor tables on a busy street.
Lovely food, service, and value. Just a corner from the square. Everything we had from savory tapas to desserts was wonderful. We’d go again!
Cute little place in downtown Sonoma. A treat for your tastebuds.
absolutely delicious, kind and friendly staff, great service. 10/10
Great option in Sonoma Square. Will definitely go back.
Am a frequent regular customer. Please go support local business.
Great food and service. We really enjoyed the variety and the small plates.
