We always enjoy Tarrants West! One of our go to Sunday places!
The food was excellent, the service was very good and the venue itself was amazing. Hearing the history behind many of the building materials and accessories made the experience quite memorable. We plan on visiting this restaurant again - by ourselves and with friends!
Took an out-of-town friend from Williamsburg who had never been really enjoyed the food the service was excellent he wants to go back
Excellent food with an extensive menu with something for everyone's tastes. Enjoyable quiet atmosphere where it's not necessary to scream to be heard during dining, unlike lots of other restaurants. Service is very attentive without being intrusive.
Good food and service. Always disappointed when very large tables are seated in center of the rooms. So loud. Unpleasant dining due to noise level. Wish they weren’t as frequent. Love the aesthetics and good menu choices.
Going out to dinner is all about who you are with, but when you start with a restaurant that is welcoming, has a menu variety for all to select from and staff that is friendly and wants to help, you are well on your way to a great evening. Then comes the food, which all embraces, and the table becomes quite, you know you have picked a great restaurant.
Our waiter was just okay. I did not really like my entree (BLAT Wrap). The menu does not indicate it had a sauce on it. When it came, I tasted it and was not a fan of the type of sauce it was dressed with. I would have asked for the sauce on the side if I was aware it was on it. The menu just says: "Bacon, Lettuce, Avacado & Tomato."
We were seated next to the kitchen and they may have had a door open because it was a bit chilly in there. I had to put my coat on.
The food was really good they just need to work on the set up and refreshing.
We went for the Easter Brunch Buffet. We had reservations so were seated on time however there was a lot of congestion and difficulty managing the food line and they were not very timely in refreshing the most popular items on the buffet. That really seemed to hold up the progress.
The Carving station and the Waffle station were difficult to get to and the line was very long.
The desserts were yummy but needed to be "served" on the plates. They were on a "high table" not easy to serve yourself.
I’ve been to Tarrant’s West a few times, but this was the first Easter Buffet for us. It was very good, and they had a rich variety of foods.
Don’t bother with Easter brunch. WAY overpriced!
It really bothers me when my drink arrives from the bar with visible lip prints around the rim of the glass. My Bloody Mary was less appealing.
We were at Tarrant's supporting VCU Massey Cancer Center's brunch weekend. We enjoyed the brunch menu.
We went to Tarrant's for brunch the other Sunday and it was very nice. The waitress met us quickly, discussed the menus and maintain our table well. When the food arrived, the portions were quite ample, well presented and tasty as well. I recommend getting there early for brunch as the restaurant filled up pretty fast.
Wine was delicious! And the berry cobbler was amazing!
This was a great first experience. O will go again.
have been a few times and this was the best yet. Nathan was a great server, clued right into our humor right away. Food was excellent. And for us it's a neighborhood spot so it's good to know it's here.
This was our first visit to Tarrant's West. We had a great experience. Excellent food, attentive service. The NY Strip was cooked exactly to my request. Another member of our party had fried oysters which were pronounced excellent. Highly recommended.
We just love this place. I have never had a bad meal there. Everything is delicious!
Four for regular dinner get together at various local restaurants, we enjoyed the food. The service was good and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Several tables nearby with large numbers of people became quite loud during their celebrations causing us to have difficulty in carrying on our conversation.
The food and service was outstanding at Tarrant's West. Looking forward to my next visit.
The experience begins with the decor. The antique style interior give a feeling of class and style. The menu has a wide variety of different things. The food was fantastic as always and everyone in our group of 5 was pleased with the taste and quality of both the food and service.
Service and food was very good. At 6:30 on a Wednesday night we didn’t think parking would be an issue but it was. However they offer free valet parking but we never saw anyone outside so it took about 5 minutes or so to find a place to park.
Crowded and noisy night at Tarrants. Food quality very good - chicken pot pie and chicken and waffles were the choices. Love the maple tahini sauce. Ordered desserts to go - bread pudding was delivered home and appreciated by my hubby. Service was slow - although our server was quite nice and did keep our glasses full. Overall 4 stars.
Food was terrible! Jumbo lump crab cakes - way too much filler and suspect that the crab meat was not jumbo lump!! Chicken pot pie - over cooked and not much chicken- a lot of filler. Sad to say this is the second time we have eaten here and the food was not very good. We won’t be back!!!
Great food, nice place. Blackened Salmon on salad was awesome.
The food was ok, but our crab dip was burnt beyond flavor. We were crammed into a literal corner table. Staff was friendly, but the overall experience was just too many patrons, not enough staff/space.
The parking lot was jammed so I was concerned that the restaurant would be crowded but we were allowed to sit in the glassed in part of the restaurant and were the only ones there so we could hear our conversation. The waitstaff gave us time to enjoy our conversation and did not rush us but checked to make sure everything was ok.
Great food and service, as always.
Tarrant is our favorite stop when in Short Pump, worth the ride!
My husband, Aubrey, and I went to dinner on Saturday. The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. We will definitely dine there again. Can't wait. Sherrie Payne
A Monday evening business dinner to include five people. The food was delicious, well prepared and served piping hot. The bread kept arriving and was quickly consumed. Overall a great experience. I especially loved the Greek Side Salad that accompanied the meal. Also, the waiter was very attentive.
Keep up the stellar food preparation and excellent service.
Chicken and waffles we’re phenomenal!
Tarrants West never disappoints. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to dining at Tarrants West again!
Near 2 tables of really loud folks. Don’t think there’s sound treatment available to cope!
This was a business lunch. We had both been here before and we were familiar with the menu. They have a shortened lunch menu and it is very adequate for most people but you can order off the regular menu as well. We had soup (her) and salad (me). Both were very good. The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive but recognized that it was a business lunch and gave us plenty of space and didn't interrupt. Very nice business lunch.
The filet was perfectly cooked, and the swordfish was excellent. Overall, a very nice experience. thank you.
I went there with friends. The server rushed us we were out of there in less than an hour. We ordered a bottle of wine and waiter tried to pour all in 4 glasses so he didn’t have to get ice bucket. Our meal came before our salads were even half finished. We won’t be back.
