The food was very good. Overall it was a pleasant evening; however, our waitress seemed to disappear for long periods. I assume she had too many tables. I know she had a huge group beside of us, but it affected her service. I asked her for malt vinegar when I placed my order. When the server brought the food, I told him I was supposed to have malt vinegar with it. He said “okay” but did nothing about getting it, or telling anyone else apparently. 10 of 15 minutes later, I had to ask another waiter to find our waitress for me. After that, thing were a little better, but ... As a result of the service, I thought it was overpriced.

We were seated near a laaaaaarge party, and I'll admit I was a bit worried we'd just bought a ticket to a two-hour lunch, as it seemed inevitable that our orders would be lost in the shuffle. This didn't happen at all. Lunch showed up prompt and tasty. Well done!

We stopped by Tarrant's West for Brunch. We got there early and seating was quick. Or server was prompt with our menus and water, as well as taking our ordering requests. The food arrived timely and was quite good. All in all, a nice place to eat.

Both of our soups were brought out just minutes before our entree which made our entrees lukewarm by the time we ate. The she crab soup had good flavor but not much crab. There was a long gap in between when we ordered our desserts and when it came. The cannolis were great! The waitress was very nice and mostly attentive. The special mule had way too much ginger beer and very little alcohol.

My husband and I have been to Tarrant's West multiple times and while it is not our favorite restaurant we have always enjoyed a good meal and had a fun evening. We decided to have dinner there this Saturday and were absolutely unimpressed by the service, food, ambiance, level of noise, atmosphere and quality. Our table was an iron patio table with a cheap tablecloth thrown on top. We were seated in a small corner of the restaurant and surrounded by a very large party celebrating a 50th birthday. Although we appreciate that these people had every right to celebrate the affair, the noise level was overwhelming and we found ourselves unable to have conversation over dinner. The service was horrible. We waited 30 minutes just to have water brought to our table, then an additional 15 minutes to place a drink order and the pattern continued when it was an hour and 15 minutes before any food arrived at our table...not entrees, just starters! When our food finally did arrive, both of our orders were wrong but our server disappeared for 20 minutes and we were unable to start eating due to the fact that there were certain food allergies and aversions that we had specified for our meal. The total for our meal was $65 and unfortunately, our food was cold, inedible and unappetizing by the time we finally received it. We ended up leaving and making sandwiches at home. Needless to say, we will not be back to Tarrant's West again.

Great atmosphere but I think the food was ok not great. Service was ok. I will just say best of luck to them it wasn’t what I expected. Will not be returning.

The food was very good. The service was atrocious. Compared to the tables around us, we were completely ignored by our server. Except for the time that she almost fell into our food and knocked over our table, she never said a word to us between the time we ordered and the time for the check. At the very end I was finished eating and had no plate in front of me while my wife was still eating. At this point she asked me if I wanted another drink and did not even look at my wife, and certainly did not ask her if she wanted a refill even though she was the one that was still eating and her cup was empty. My wife asked for a box for her food, asked not offerred by her. It took her at least 5 minutes to bring it back, and when she did, she stuck it out toward her, again without even looking at her or speaking to her. Very disrespectful. We love Tarrants downtown and have never had such issues. My guess is we will be going there from now on.

Considering the fact that we ate on Valentine's Day, a very busy night, we were extremely pleased with our experience. We had the fixed price dinner (fillet with shrimp) and it was very good. We had the red wine blend and the pours were not skimpy as is often the case with fixed price meals. We were very happy that Tarrant's notified us of this special offer and we were able to make reservations for the evening instead of having to take a chance and wait in line!

Yes but with reservation. Food portions were a bit lacking, and veggies/rice was cold. Fish (Swordfish) was tasteless. Stuffed Tilapia wasn't quite stuffed, rather crab in a bowl with a small fillet on top. Service (waitress) was very attentive but overall service was less than par for an upscale restaurant as this. Trash, dropped on the floor took several minutes to be picked up. Attention to small details needs to be improved.

A wonderful Valentine Dinner. I liked along with the set menu I could also order off the regular menu! Great atmosphere, service and Scrumptious-tasty food!

Service was a little slow for table clean up but our waiter was friendly and very accommodating!

Not only were all our dinners not good....rockfish mushy, mashed potatoes reheated, crab cakes tasteless....but my friend had to send her salad back as she had requested no onions and then again her steak was rare when she had said.no pink.... waitress was sweet but not on top of things. Won’t go back....

My fruit on my salad was brown and soggy and I got the cheese and fruit plate which always was brown and soggy it was overall terrible . They sat us in the side porch instead of the main dining room even with to reservation.

We chose this establishment after looking up reviews for a "close by" venue to celebrate a birthday.
I recall visiting Tarrant's downtown following the opening a few years ago following the hype. At the time as a business dinner for a large group of industry professionals. That experience had been mediocre as well. This last venture will not be memorable neither. The flavors mirrored the refinement of a W..... House or such. Presentation did not reflect the aspiration of the menu and the portions were very frugal.
In all none of the plates measured up to the "it's all homemade" propaganda promoted by our server.
Only pleasurable note was the various fruit mimosas that reminiscent of the wine coolers of our youth.

This a consistently good place to eat! Great selection of food and beverages.

This is my wife and my favorite restaurant. This is our anniversary place. The food is awesome as well as the service and ambiance. We love both locations but prefer West because of parking.

This was our first visit to the restaurant. We wanted to try something new. Good food. Great atmosphere. Looking forward to returning during warmer weather to experience the outside dining.

Retirement dinner for a close friend

Fabulous. We have been patrons with the downtown location for years. This was our first visit “out west” but won’t be our last. Food was fabulous, service was excellent. The ambiance was super and relaxing. Parking was a little bit of a problem-need to work out a deal with gas station next door. As much as I like the down town location-I love this one. Much quieter than down town and I think the food was better!

I find this restaurant to be a hit or miss experience. This night was a miss. To start, we never received bread for the table, and we were witnessing everyone around us getting bread. We ordered the beyond burger with fries and the chicken Parmesan sandwich with fries. The beyond burger itself was good, however the lettuce was EXTREMELY wilted and brown, and the tomato looked so pale and unappetizing that I couldn’t eat either. The other disappointment was the fries came out cold and hard. The chicken Parmesan sub was good, but we also had the same problem with those fries as well. We were unable to discuss this with our server because she seemed busy with other tables (someone else brought out the dishes). Later she came to our table and mentioned how chill we were and that is why she did not visit our table because it seemed like everything was under control. At that point we were halfway through our meal and we did not want her to feel bad, because we overheard her telling another table that she was at capacity. This seemed like a case of your restaurant being under staffed both in the kitchen as well as out on the floor. This was a disappointing experience.

Really enjoyed our birthday dinner with friends. Our waitress was great!

I was checking out Tarrant’s West to see if we wanted to book them for a business dinner next month. It is a cute design, good food, knowledgeable staff, and we ended up booking our event there.

I had an old fashioned to start which was one of the worst in the last several restaurants attended; bitters and bourbon were average at best. She had the special cabernet sauvignon which was mediocre. I got the tuna and my wife the mahi mahi for our main dish. Portion sizes were small so no leftovers! Fish tasted frozen and was, once again, just average. we had not been here since an anniversary meal about 3 years ago which was much better. Wait staff were slow in every regard.

My food was very good but my wife’s bowl with chicken in it was below par; we very much like the restaurant but most of all we love our server Blaze ; she is warm and friendly and very helpful on the menu and makes us feel at home and special ; several of our friends also feel that way about her; you need more of her type; we love her and always want to be in her section when we come
