    Our server Blake was very helpful with recommendations and knew the menu quite well. We had a reservation which is recommended, as the place was quite busy. Our food was excellent and came out without a long wait. Had a great time.

    Our first trip to Tarrants and it was fabulous. We made reservations to be sure we completed in time for a show. Service was prompt and very friendly and we loved the atmosphere. We ordered a pizza with sweet Italian peppers which was prompt and outstanding. Also ordered a "New Fashioned" drink which was also fabulous. Tarrants is a short walk to the Virginia Rep November Theater and I highly recommend a combination dinner and show. Outstanding evening!

    Food was absolutely delicious. Recommend the Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer in particular. Server knew the dishes inside and out and every recommendation was spot on. Excellent experience.

    Food was good. We both had the seafood combo which we both enjoyed. We got there late for lunch and the place was empty so it was very quiet. The waiter was very attentive. Good place. I would definitely recommend it.

    The food was quite good. My tuna had a fair amount of tendon, forcing me to spit some out because it was unchewable. Our server was very friendly but also very busy, so wasn't able to check on us very often. The prices just seemed way higher than the quantity of food given.

    We had a fantastic evening dining at Tarrant’s. This was our first time here, and we were not disappointed! The food was excellent and fresh; the service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was relaxed and upscale. We will be back.

    Food was great - well seasoned and served hot. Highly recommend the she-crab soup. Waiter tended to disappear in the kitchen rather than refilling water and drinks. Otherwise, a perfect spot for pre-theater dinner.

    Tarrant’s employees were extremely cooperative with our party which, was arriving in pieces, making everything harder for the waite staff. Food and drinks were great. We were served quickly, and our waiter was very efficient in getting us off to the play. Will definitely return.

    My friends and I absolutely loved this restaurant!! We were attending a play at the Virginia Repertory Theatre across the street and up 1 block. The food, drinks, staff and presentation were all top notch! Looking forward to coming again

    Enjoyed our meal and service at Tarrants. It did take an extensive amount of time to be greeted after seating, and to get drinks 15 min.+ and meal, 1 hr. But in the end, as we weren't in a hurry it was fine. Kiki server was great, cheerful, and positive despite having many tables to handle. Hostess Nadia was pleasant as well.

    We were very disappointed with the temperature of the food, and how long it took to even receive the complementary rolls. Our appetizers and food came out at the same time. It was a complete mess. Honestly, I was very disappointed

    We had reservations at 5p so it was relatively quiet. Food was back to its hey-dey (pre-COVID) and amazing! Parking was a breeze and it is so easy to walk one block to the November Theater. Thanks for a wonderful dinner!
