It was our first time to dine here and we were very pleased with the location. Very friendly and attentive Staff. Delicious food and very nice presentation. We would definitely return to try other dish on the Menu!
Fantastic local place! Casual atmosphere but food and service makes you feel like you ate at a high end place in Napa. Portions are generous too! Any dish you try is great!
Went for lunch. Ate outside as interior smelled like pinesol. Food was good but seemingly overpriced. No compelling reason to return.
This place food was delicious. My husband had the fish and said it wa very good. I had a vegetarian option. They even gave us free dessert for my husbands bday. The ambulance was nice and romantic.
Excellent food! Good vegan options. Something for everyone.
Very disappointing. Because our first table was put next to an extremely loud group, we asked to move outdoors. Waiter seemed a tad annoyed. We had just sat down. Outside was fine, but waiter constantly coming to the table expecting more orders from us, interrupting our obvious conversation multiple times. We did not order full plates but various small plates for our meal. The calamari misto was a bowl of burnt, greasy batter. Awful. The Greek dip platter and pita was very good, however A good friend had highly recommended this restaurant and I imagine there are better waiters and dishes, but I will probably avoid it in the future. Sorry Tarla.
Food was very authentic. Just returning from a couple weeks in Israel and Turkey, we were happy to find this gem just two blocks from our randomly selected Napa hotel on our anniversary. We had the sampler platter for two (humus, babaganoush, tzatzika, pita, feta and olives for only $25) which was outstanding and very authentic.
My wife had the kale salad, which she liked, but took home because the shared platter was plenty as a starter.
Her entry was the star... 8 hour slow cooked short rib sitting on one of the best mushroom risottos I have ever tasted! Not too rich for this type of a dish, but very flavorful.
I had the lamb tenderloin skewers, which took me right back to our Mediterranean trip. They would have been the star if that darn risotto wasn't so good (I'm Italian... a little partial to amazing risotto!).
We shared... what else but baklava with vanilla bean ice cream. After the sampler and the strong entrees, sharing the dessert was plenty.
We will for sure eat here on future Napa visits as the price was reasonable, the food was very good and the service was some of the best we have had in a long time. Staff provided everything we needed without being "in the way".
Unfortunately they didn't have any dolmas on the Meze plate for 2ppl. But gave us 2 more zucchini patties, I would of liked to had the choice for something else.
We loved the food at Tarla so much that we visited two days in a row. Between the two of us, we ordered the appetizer sampler, lamb burger, chicken kebab plate, and the stuffed eggplant. The hazelnut cheesecake with caramel sauce for dessert was amazing! We plan to eat at Tarla every time we visit Napa.
The food was excellent! The only thing that I
Was my wife’s birthday - listed this on reservation - no mention of it when we arrived and we had to wait for them to set up a table in a mostly empty restaurant even though we had a reservation. Food we very mediocre compared to past visits. Service was distracted and forgot several requests we made. I remembered why we don’t frequent this restaurant.
Friends out on a double date! Good experience!
Brest dinner I’ve had lately! Lamb was spectacular.
The food was very good middle eastern cuisine, portions were large and service very good. Its a bit loud. I would definitely go back - mezza platter appetizer was excellent, as was the chicken kabob. Enjoy!
Octopus salad was fine, not nearly the best or most tender octopus I’ve had, but a generous portion. Zucchini cakes were a little thicker than usual cakes, so slightly overcooked on the outside, but the tzatziki sauce was great. ‘Stuffed’ eggplant wasn’t stuffed at all, but rather 2 grilled pieces of eggplant stacked with rice and chickpeas- completely had no baked-in flavor. Such a disappointment. Husband got the meat special, the ribeye. He fought hard to try and cut it, but half of the steak was so tough, it was inedible. First time he’s ever wanted to send a dish back. We should have, would have helped with the $120 bill for blah.
I was blindsided based on the high (4.5/5) opentable and yelp reviews. Guess I should have known when the place was almost empty on a Napa Saturday night.
Had to laugh. Asked for a citrus mocktail and got a glass of pink lemonade with a lime. So I can’t imagine the bar is very creative.
The saganaki was just ok but the spanikopita was the best I have ever had! The musaka was also fabulous! Great Greek cuisine :)
Nice place with an interesting menu. The crab sandwich is awesome!!
Great food/service, very loud!!
Excellent food, friendly staff, great ambiance, we went back the same day!
The food at Tarla was great. The hostess who seated us wasn’t that great. The restaurant wasn’t very busy with one table occupied in the first section of the restaurant and maybe 3 tables occupied in the next section. We were taken into the second section of the restaurant and seated between two other full tables and when asked if this was ok by the hostess. I made the mistake of asking if we could be seated in the other section, seeing as it wasn’t full and we wouldn’t have to sit crammed in between two other tables. Apparently this was the wrong thing to ask as I received a rather less than impressed response from the hostess who stormed into the other side of the restaurant to show us to our table.
Our waiter was lovely and provided good service for the rest of the meal. If the hostess hadn’t proceeded to slam menus onto the bench seat where I was seated at one point of the evening the rating probably would have been better.
Great food and service
Great meals and wine! Glad we ate at the restaurant and not at Bottlerock, because the experience was so amazing. Our waiter, Adam, was fantastic!
Yes food is very good, relaxed atmosphere. Good service and $10 corkage.
Great food and casual ambience. Service was a bit lacking. There were only us and three other tables eating while we were there, so not sure why everything was so slow. Server did not write down our order and then forgot our appetizer. We had to remind server twice for the app. Finally they brought the app after we had finished our meals. I thought they might give us the appetizer for free seeing as how it didn’t arrive until we were done eating, but instead they accidentally just charged us twice for the app. Even though food was very good, I will not likely be back.
The food was good but not fabulous. The service was very good but we were just midway through our appetizer course when our entree’s arrived. Our waiter took the food back and re-delivered it later. We suspect it had been put under a warming light as both our dishes were favorable but a bit dry.
Food was so excellent!! Nice friendly service but a few orders were wrong. They fixed it quickly though. We will definitely go back for the amazing food!!
Sone great dishes, some okay. Dessert and Turkish coffee was great.
Food and service was great. Just wish they had Tabbouleh.
Delicious Mediterranean food! We ordered a variety of dishes, the flaming cheese, mezze platter, lamb burger, and chicken kebob. Everything had so much flavor and was delicious. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was also great and super pretty!
Great food, excellent service only $10 corkage xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx
Whole experience was fantastic. Wanted something different to eat and the food had a lot of flavor.
Our meal was comped for reasons related to food and service. sometimes things don't work out but credit is given to management for ownership and prompt resolution.
Pricey but the food was amazing and made it totally worth it . My only disappointment is that we only got to order what we actually ate. There are so many more things I would've liked to try. I will definitely go back.
Wonderful Mother’s Day brunch. We had an assortment of appetizers. The spanakopita and Greek salad were excellent. The hummus and pita were served warm and had great flavors and texture. The Turkish meatballs had a very nice spice to them but were just a little dry for me. My wife loved them. Very attentive service staff. Highly recommend if you are a fan of Mediterranean food.
We live locally and love Mediterranean food. By far the best food, and the best service! You won’t be disappointed!! We are there several times a month!!!
Marginal overpriced food with poor service to match. Not indicative of the typical Napa dining experience. Cannot recommend nor will I return.
The food was good, our waiter was not very interested in serving us. I would give them another try.
Good selection in each food category. Rack of lamb included 3 double-ribbed chops and was well-prepared, however the potatoes were burnt and stuck to the iron skillet. The moussaka was not as flavorful as in the past, sort of flat and overcooked.
Service was terrible. Waiter was not friendly and was rushing us from the moment we sat down. Came to the table and immediately asked what we wanted to order when we didn’t yet have menus. Didn’t introduce himself, didn’t ask if we had questions, just wanted to move us along. We asked for menus, he left and returned moments later and asked what we wanted. Still no menus. When we finally got food, the calamari was very greasy and tasteless. The chicken shish-ka-bob and short ribs were good but could not make up for the poor service.
