Food was cold and tasted old. Took back and reheated. Not great. And decaf was cold. Didn’t bother to send back. Soup was great and hot
We asked for a quiet table. Sadly the table we sat at was near a "bus station" and one of us was staring into a room that was closed. We felt our waitress could have been a little more attentive and we had to ask for bread, more water, and the check. Flagging someone down was not easy.
The rack of lamb was delicious and perfectly cooked.
The food was phenomenal! I had the flat steak frites with the truffle fries, and the steak was cooked perfect and it was soft and delicious. It was so great! And for dessert, since it was my birthday, we got the cremé brûlée and honestly it was so fantastic. Did the restaurant change the recipe for it? The custard was a lot firmer and I was here for it. The server (forgive me for forgetting your name!) was super sweet and funny! I am a server myself so it is soo nice to encounter another wonderful server who gives the same amount of hospitality as I do to my own customers ;) over all it was a wonderful experience! We will be coming back again and again and again :)
Everyone is always welcoming at Tark's. The service was a little slow, but our server was pleasant. The food was outstanding, generous and fresh, as is typically the case.
I suggest a warmer lighting, some atmosphere with greens
MUSIC is a must...slow jazz is classy
The restaurant was very loud when we entered, but the host immediately realized we needed a quieter area and seated us in the "wine room" which had a door to shut out most of the noise. We all liked our food and the originality of some of the dishes. There was a mistake on one of the dishes , but it was rectified quickly enough.
As usual, the food was delicious and our server was very responsive. The PERFECT location for a delicious lunch!
Great Atmosphere, Great Service, Great Food = A Great Time!!!! Thank You Tark's Grill for being gracious hosts for our luncheon. James and his staff were warm and accommodating. Also, the Preakness room set the tone for our event and provided the perfect amount of privacy which allowed our luncheon guests to feel comfortable.
Family Birthday celebration
Great lunch on a snowy day! Ellen was an excellent server!
We had a very nice, relaxing dinner. I requested a quiet table and we were seated away from the main room and it was perfect. We lingered for a long time and our waitress was very attentive even after we had finished dinner.
Food was overpriced and cramped. Though service was great.
We wanted a quick bite before the theater. Our server took care of us in a timely manner. Oysters and tuna appetizer were both winners!
I wish when you ordered a kale salad, restaurants wouldn't just dump a bunch of kale onto a plate, and call it salad! This salad wasn't cut (and great kale salads are massaged)m, but just dumped on my plate, with raw butternut squash strips. Awful salad. My GF did enjoy her lobster roll however.
We went for Sunday dinner with family & everything was delicious! I am picky and there were a few things that I would have liked cooked differently (calamari were too crispy & fried for my liking, Brussels sprouts were a bit too soggy) but overall food was great! Drinks were perfect and the staff was attentive!
The food was good the service was just awful from start to finish .There was clearly a lack of management ( no where in sight) we ordered drinks which took a good 15 minutes to get and that was for the first 4 the other 3 came after the 2nd reminder
Our appetizer dishes sat forever finally went to hostess to ask for help she did come to the wine room to help
The meal came food good
You would think if the food part is handled well getting water shouldn’t be such a challenge
Just an overall lack of service and considering the restaurant was not overly busy really disappointing
Very noisy, even in the wine room, once the tables were filled. Service was OK, albeit somewhat depressed server. Cocktails were very small and food was mediocre. My butternut risotto was tasteless (it needs a lot of Parmigiano which was clearly lacking) or tasting weird (the lobster pappardelle had a strange nutmeg-like aftertaste that completely ruined the rose sauce and the lobster). Expensive for what you get in the end. Will not recommend. (also posted to Google Maps reviews)
Our seating was not good, people constantly walking by us on both sides of table. So location was terrible, right next to bathrooms and kitchen too much traffic!
My wife and I checked in with the hostess for a 715 reservation which we showed up on time for. As we were waiting to be seated we over heard a couple come in after us without a reservation asking how long the wait would be. They were seated ahead of us. By about 730 our table was ready. The hostess showed us to our table which was in the bar area side “the table next to the people who came in after us”. The first thing my wife and I noticed is how loud and hard it was to hear one other. The waitress was doing her best as the place was crowded. My major complaints with her are When the food came out she asked me if I would like about her drink which I said yes but took way to long to bring it to me as I was done eating by the time I received it. The food was really good. My wife got a seafood resoto and I got a seafood cobb salad. My wife and I have kids and this was the first night out to ourselves in a long time. We were hoping that the ambience and service would match the food. It didn’t
Lunch was delicious!
MY HUSBAND AND I ARRIVED AND SEATED PROMPTLY , THE WAITERS ATTENDED TO OUR EVERY NEED AND WANT . THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING AND THE SPECIALTY DRINKS WERE EXCELLENT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE WANTING TO HAVE A NICE DINER OUT
3rd Valentine’s Day at Tark’s. It was awesome! Looking forward to next year!
Tark's Grill was a welcomed surprise. The food was great and the service was excellent. We will most certainly return.
The food was good but the salmon portion was very small.
Consistently delicious! The menu is innovative and there are always plenty of options for every type of eater. We had great service yesterday; it’s always good but our waitress yesterday made the afternoon.
The service was awful. The restaurant is significantly understaffed and the staff seem new and lacking experience. The food was awful!! I had the very bland “legacy” salad and my friend had the unwieldy turkey club—I will not be back to Tark’s any time soon!!
Great food and services. I will be back again. Try out the French toast bites, they are awesome
Great spot for Sunday Brunch! We were looking for a place for brunch this past weekend and decided to try Tark's Grill as we had never been there before. We had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lively and family friendly. The food and service were both very good at very reasonable prices. We are always looking for a spot to go when children and grandchildren visit and Turk's is a perfect spot with easy access, good parking and an excellent menu for the whole family. Highly recommended.
We have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed it. but for some reason it seemed much noisier on this visit. I guess it was just an anomaly.
Food was good as always. Service was thoughtful without being intrusive. Great time. We are anxious to go back.
we picked a bad night evidently it was crowded ., noisy and we felt rushed we were there to celebrate my husband's 90th birthday and hoped to have a nice relaxed special dinner maybe next time
Ceasar salad was a bit tasteless--additional dressing did not help. The salmon was delicious. Cream of crab soup just so-so.
Had a leak over one of my friends and she had drops of water on her, her chair and her sweater on the chair. We told waitress who told the manager. He said that's a shame. I said you should pay for her lunch and he walked away. He came back to look at the leak to decide what he needed to do before dinner people came in. I again said he should pay for her lunch. He said did you have dessert? I said no and we already paid our bills.
When we left cashier said sorry about what happened. Manager was standing there again and again I said he needed to pay for her lunch. He said to her, give me your name and next time you come, we will see what we can do for you. I said no, you did to give her a gift certificate NOW. Finally after all that time, he did. Totally uncalled for, he should have done that immediately!
Also chicken salad sandwich was VERY dry and I love salt, but the salt on the french fries was so much I couldn't even eat them.
Won't be back any time in the near future!!
Very nice dining. Just was a bit disappointed in the mushroom ravioli. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. Wine was excellent. Will definitely go again. I will just not try the mushroom ravioli again. Nice place to chat with a friend.
Lunch at Tark’s was a disappointment. The server was unpleasant, the omelet tasteless, and disgusting looking. I asked for fewer green peppers, when my meal arrived they were plentiful. When I questioned the server, with attitude she said, ‘I told them’. There are many other better choices near by. Won’t be going back for quite sometime, if ever.
It used to be a nice place to have lunch. My friend had oysters which were small & greasy. The only redeeming factor was the squash soup. We should have hit it & quit it.
We had a delicious lunch. Avocado toast, French dip and chicken salad on a croissant. The sweet potato fries and regular fries were great too. The waitress was very attentive.
Food and service were both excellent. My daughter was also given a choice for a free birthday dessert. We had not been to Tark's Grill for awhile and are so glad that we went back there to dine.
The food here was very good but I felt the price was much higher than it should have been.
To start we both ordered a Cappacino coffee, mine being decaf. It was delicious. The coffee was rich without a bite. We both had the Harvest Club sandwich with sweet potato fries. This was a hearty sandwich for a very cold and wintry day. The service was pleasant and on time. A nice touch was the carryout plastic container was accompanied by a bag in which to put it.
