Whenever we’re in Scottsdale, this is a must! Never disappoints.
Food was good. Service was good. Table next
To us had a loud mouth with a potty mouth. Kinda ruined the dinner for us.
The customer service is impeccable. Our server (Allen) remembered my husband and I from our visit a whole year ago, he even remembered what I ordered!! The food is outstanding, creative, and delicious, we were able to make half orders of pretty much anything on the menu except dessert. I travel to Phoenix at least once/year and I will always come back to this place!
This was the best meal we ate in Arizona. Incredibly fresh food, light but still tasty, warm service and best of all most dishes can be ordered as half portions so can be greedy without feeling too guilty! Surprise win was the chicken which I rarely order as I find it boring. However, ours was perfectly cooked with a light but intense jus and came with well seasoned fluffy buttermilk mash potatoes. Apple crisp was also excellent - I finished the whole thing despite the big meal that came before it!
Loved chatting to the bar staff. A shame That there was a rather drunken loud group sitting at the bar too, but we were distracted by the good food, thank goodness.
As ALWAYs....Amazing food and even BETTER service. The team at Tarbell's is one of the BEST in the valley.
Met friends from Richmond, VA for dinner.
Food and service are always amazing! Went there for my birthday but unfortunately they didn’t acknowledge we were there for a celebration. Other than that, everything was great!
Creative menu and great service. Good vibe busy on a Thursday night.
It was wonderful. The service was thoughtful, seamless, and professional, the food - perfect.
The food was outstanding...I had the Scallops, amazing and my friend had the Lobster Gnocchi ,
which she said was very good....We shared the Bread pudding, I am not a fan, however that
is my friends favorite desert, so she loved it. Its a bit pricey, but worth it .
Drew was an excellent waiter and expert in wine. Food was top notch!
I received a gift card to use here, so my wife and I used it for our 21 year wedding Anniversary. We made an early reservation (5:30PM), so it wasn’t really busy yet. Our server was personable and “on it” since it was quite slow. My wife ordered the Center-Cut Tenderloin Filet with Lump Jonah Crab (which she said was great). I told them I was vegan and my server just said, “I’m not sure what we have but I’ll have them put something together for you.” I was anticipating with excitement. He came out with plate of veggies atop a few slices of potatoes (weird), and the flavor was a “B+”, nothing to brag about. Overall experience was “good”, not GREAT, and it was pricey. Would I go back? Maybe?
Great restaurant, great food. Very good selection of wines.
Wonderful and interesting menu. Great wine selection. Very nice experience all around.
Went to Tarbell's after a long day of travel. It was very good and is very consistent. Is it fine dining? No, but you can count on a good meal and good service. Sometimes that is all you really want and need.
This is my favorite restaurant in Phoenix I typically go 3 to 5 times a month food is always good and the staff are excellent
Upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess and seated immediately. Bus staff brought water and some chips and hummus. Seems like it was going to be good service. Well... after 15 minutes with no waiter/waitress and no drink order or waitstaff in sight I went to the bartender and asked if we could eat at the bar. He said yes. This is when our frown was turned upside down! Mikey the bar tender saved the day. Mikey apologized brought us a complementary appetizer while making our cocktails. Took the edge off! Then took our order and gave the attention a place with these price points should give. Food was excellent! Mikey was excellent. Parking is horrible. Seems understaffed but apparently the place has been around a long time. At least the food is good. Mikey is great. Sit at the bar if you want good service.
2nd time to Tarbell's and we were disappointed. Server was bland and seemed to busy for us.
I ordered the Filet with Crab and while it was OK it wasn't cooked the way I ordered it and it came out luke warm. Beet salad was very good. My wife ordered the New York and it was again 'ok'. The spinach wasn't good. Wet blob of green spinach. I had creme brulee for desert and the top was thick and hard to eat, the filling was also 'thick'. It was our anniversary which I mentioned in the reservation but it wasn't mentioned by the receptionist, server, and no complimentary desert was ever offered. If we go back we will just sit at the bar and order a meatball!
Excellent as always
The Salmon was an outstanding dish and the Mussels were the largest and tastiest that I have had in a long time!
My favorite restaurant in Scottsdale. Great staff and unique food options. Fun to eat at the bar as well for a single individual.
Always great food!
We can always count on Tarbell's for a delicious, delightful family dinner. The menu includes creative new dishes as well as the favorites we've enjoyed in the past and look forward to.
Great food and ambiance
As always Tarbell’s never disappoints! We shared the carpaccio and calamari appetizers. Best. Carpaccio. I’ve. Ever. Had!!! I had the lobster gnocchi: pure tastebud bliss. My husband ordered the Italian sausages and burrata flatbread pizza which was lightly dusted with Serrano chili which we all agreed was great. Our friend ordered a half portion of the halibut Mr Fish of the Moment OMG so delicious and a half portion of the always wonderful house made Italian sausage pasta with the delectably light creamy sauce. We also shared the famous baseball size meatball and it was almost as good as my Italian family’s own meatballs which is saying a lot! For our finish we shared the apple streudel with salted caramel and vanilla gelato... not a morsel left! The Sancerre perfectly complimented everything. And what made our night an even better experience was the exceptional service Jacqueline showered us with from answering our many(bordering possibly annoying) questions) to happily sharing a sampling of several tastes to ensure a delightfully wonderful meal for each of us.
The food and the service were terrific. Definitely going back
Been one of our favorite restaurants in the Valley for many years. Consistently excellent!
Always a great atmosphere, great food and great service!
Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Pricey but so worth it. We'll be bacl!
Fantastic... one of the most consistent outstanding restaurants in Scottsdale!!!
We love Tarbell's and it was our first choice the other night when a friend was here from out of town. She loves it now as much as we do. The food was oh so delicious! My salmon, her scallops, his pepper steak -- every one a home run! We'll be back soon.
Our server was competent but unfriendly. The scallops were delicious, but the profiterole pastry was tough and there wasn't enough ice cream inside.
Over many years I've spent several birthdays and brought out-of-towners to Tarbell's. They never disappoint. It's a wonderful place for fine dining for just about any occasion. Quite a unique selection on the menu for the seasonal and daily items. Not a drinker but I'm told the wine selection is excellent. The waitrons and staff are always friendly and smiling. Prices are right in line with the very high quality cuisine, atmosphere and service.
I will be back!
Don't miss the Cheesecake! Never tasted anything like it!!
Food was excellent. My haddock was superlative . My work ‘s chicken was awesome.
Great meal. We’d return and recommend.
I had the ribbon pasta with sausage and it was wonderful along with the beet salad. Reasonable amount of food great wine. It was on a Saturday night and the noise level was way too loud .
Not sure how you would fix that
The service is very nice. The menu is old schooled, like most of the restaurants in Phoenix district. The food is ok but just not have the Unami to impress us.
Everything from food to service range from excellent to phenomenal. The pepper steak is truly outstanding. The wine list is pricey but if you look closely you can find an outstanding wine at a reasonable restaurant price.
Delectable food, personalized servings (ex. salads shared, two entrees [Bolognese and meat balls] served as halves to two people), attentive but not hovering service which meant we could savor our meals, quiet enough even on a bustling night to converse with tablemates without shouting. An outstanding experience from start to finish.
