Group of eight, all the meals were superb
Delicious food. My wife and I both ordered the ravioli special and it was awesome. We also ordered the bruschetta and caprese salad and both were outstanding. Definitely would recommend and will return.
Nice dining atmosphere with great food and attentive, friendly staff!!
Great establishment. Great menu choices. Service was great. Food was amazing.
Great service with terrific food. Booth was very uncomfortable as the springs had seen better days. We could not wait to leave we were that uncomfortable!
Love the ambiance and the food. The veal marsala was excellent, tender and savory. My husband loved his spaghetti and meatballs. we both enjoyed the calamari appetizer which alone would be reason to return!
Delicious home made pasta and affordable bottle of wine. The cannolis were the best. Loved the intimate environment. Will return soon.
Nice location, beautiful decor, great ambiance, and outstanding food. Nice variety on the menu. We’ll definitely be back.
Altho, we told the Host that we were expecting 4 others for dinner -- our guests were not directed to us waiting in the bar. Hopefully, management is getting serious about instituting an experienced " front of the house " steward to eliminate these type of issues.
Fish of the day with risotto (altho pricey @ $36.00 ) , steak and pasta were fine. Two of our guests ordered the Sicilian Braciole -- that dish was chewy needing more braising time and possibly a different cut of meat. And too many pine nuts in the mix.
Ordered the dessert donuts to share which took quite a while to appear. That said : overall , a pleasant evening
One of the best preparations of scallops I've had and I know my scallops Comes with asparagus and risotto. I'm not an asparagus fan so our server recommended sauteed spinach. Loved it. Try this dish; you won't be disappointed.
Food and service both excellent. Nice atmosphere and background music was at the correct volume so as not to interfere with conversations.
It was a busy Saturday night,so it might not be the best time to judge the service and noise. The veal in the veal piccata was tender, but the sauce had way too much garlic. The restaurant was attractive, close to downtown and they did not rush us, so we would be willing to give it a second chance.
Enjoyed our evening and this as our second visit. Love the arancino and veal Marsala. Great atmosphere and knowledgeable pleasing staff. Definitely will be back!
First time date at a nice Italian restaurant. Our expectations were exceeded on all levels! Needless to say we will be back. And the price was reasonable. Great venue!
Service was very slow. Was there for 2 1/2 hours before our entree was served. We were there for my wife’s birthday and her night was completely ruined. Our 15 month daughter was also included as our 6th person so we were automatically charged for an $80 tip on a $500 tab and the manager/owner was completely rude to us after we complained. Don’t waste your time here
Food was delicious, fresh and generous. My husband and I shared an entree and still had enough to bring home. Service was good, and food was delivered in a timely manner. Although the restaurant was crowded, noise level was not too bad and we were able to carry on a conversation. Will definitely go back!
Service was very good; and the food matched. Had minor problem with a wrong order, but they corrected it immediately. Very professional.
We had a wonderful evening at Tarantelli's!! The food, Spaghetti e Polpette and Bistecca e Pistacchio Gremolta were so delicious and we were pleasantly surprised to have live Jazz music that evening as well. It was a great find - and we will definitely plan to visit again!!!
The service was very understaffed. Had to wait awhile for a our wine and beer orders, even though the restaurant was less than a third full. My dinner meat was heaped I top of noodles than had congealed together making them enedible .
We had reservations booked for 7:15 on Saturday. When we showed up (at 7:15) there was a 30-45 min wait to be seated for our 7:15 reservation. I get it that things get backed up, but there was really no explaination given and we were basically told that we needed to hang around the hostess desk so she could call our name. We politely told her that we would go to the bar and wait there. Then, about 30 minutes later we went to check on the status, and the hostess was seating a 7:30 reservation ahead of us. Again, I guess it wasn’t that big of a deal, but still pretty unprofessional when you have earlier reservation times waiting that showed up at their reserved time. The waitress was great, but the kitchen did lose our appetizer order, so they ended up coming out pretty much the same time as the main course. We had also left a comment when making our reservation on Open Table and no one had mentioned it the entire evening. The food was excellent as always, but with all of the other things that happened, I’d be hard pressed to go back anytime soon. The experience was not worth the price of our final bill.
This was 2nd time at Tarantelli's. Great place . The filet mignon/bruschetta app is amazing. It is enough for two. If you order something else you missed out. Have had both their streak and pasta both were terrific. Wife had a seafood special and steak. She enjoyed both. Great menu with a flavor of the old country while presenting a Southern Charm ambiance.
Unfortunately our first visit here was not good. Made reservations for 6:30 but didn’t get seated until 7 and it was in the bar. Placed an order for appetizer, salad and entree. After finishing the first two we waited another thirty minutes only to be told that our entree order was never started. When we asked for our check so we could just go home without getting the entree the waiter gallantly told us that the entree was taken off the bill. Like he had done us a favor?
I sense that while the food may be good the wait staff and kitchen are poorly managed.
Fantastic authentic food and nobody left hungry, even the picky eater. They were extremely busy with 2 big events downtown and still managed to provide excellent personal service.
Extremely slow service. Ordered a bottle of wine and appetizer and told our server we had a show to go to. It took 30 minutes before our wine came out...and an hour and fifteen minutes before our food came out.
Went for V day with wife. Excellent as usual!
Absolutely; we asked two of our friends to join us on Valentines day; they called us the next evening stating how they really enjoyed their food and the overall experience. MY wife and I are repeat visitors to Tarantelli's and I've always ordered the same dish. Last time I had the scallops over risotto and what a dish. Their chef has talent.
I would recommend because food was tasty however be prepared for overpriced cocktails and entree’s. The service was ok but we felt rushed at some point and also lost our waitress when we wanted to order another drink.
The best Italian food in WIlmington. Great ambiance, excellent service, absolutely delicious food.
Good atmosphere. Loved the broccoli rabe and the filet bruschetta was great. Our server had a great attitude and had some nice suggestions.
Great food in a lovely setting. Staff is friendly and attentive. Not too noisy even if crowded.
Very nice, great food . We love it and dine there every time we are in Wilmington. Never disappointed.
Took my Wife here for her 50th birthday, this was our 2nd time. We love it there, food and service were outstanding. Hannah was our server and she was very professional and fun. When you go you must have their cheese wheel!!! Outstanding date/birthday with my wife
Was hoping for a memorable dining experience. Was rushed with food being brought to the table top soon (was still enjoying appetizer when server said are food was up and she need to clear the table to make room
Perfect all around.
We had excellent service and the food was outstanding!
The reason I’m not giving this restaurant more stars has to do with service. We had a reservation, and the restaurant was not at all crowded. It was later in the evening, and there were very few table seated. Although we were seated promptly, we were completely and totally ignored. So much so that we got up, took our menus, headed into the bar and sat at the bar. No one approached us and said hey what’s up with that? Literally no one gave a damn. However, once we sat down at the bar, the whole vibe changed. We went from being completely ignored by restaurant employees-who walked by our table in the dining room made eye contact and gave us the stare of the living dead - to receiving absolute first-rate service at the bar. We ordered a bottle of wine and a martini, which was perfectly made. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about items on the menu and made some recommendations, which we took, and were very happy that we did so. Once our food arrived, it was delicious. The sauce actually tasted like my great-grandmothers-and that’s the highest compliment I can give it. The pasta was perfectly cooked. Everything was fresh and delicious. Bottom line: sit in the bar.
Great food& service
This was out first visit and we had an outstanding server, James. The menu was full of delicious options from Fish to Beef to pasta to salads. All very creative but any item could be customized to your liking. Live sax player in the other room made for a really nice atmosphere. All in all, a real gem in ILM!!!!
Love this place for really good Italian food. Great ambiance- the brick walls and the lighting create a relaxed atmosphere with no snobbery. Friendly staff. Usually go for the baked ziti which is the best around, but had the short rib with broccoli rabe special and was delicious. Will be back again for sure.
Service and food were incredible! I highly recommend the sea scallops and the spinach. One of the best meals I have ever had the pleasure to experience. I travel worldwide for my work so I am comparing this restaurant to some of the finest internationally, not just in Wilmington.
