Excellent wedge salad, pasta, and beef with pistachio gremolata
Everything was unbelievable. My team loved the food
My pasta dinner was delicious, but pricey for pasta.....But, I would return....
Don't miss this dining experience if you go to Wilmington. Food was exceptional and offerings were very interesting. The setting and decor present a timeless class that immediately makes you feel welcomed into a special situation. Reminded me of family run NJ and NY Italian restaurant experiences.
The food and drinks were outstanding! It was a super busy night but the service was still very good. The appetizers came out quickly as well as the drinks and the main courses were timed perfectly. The sea scallops are still a favorite but everything was delicious. The Barolo bottle was excellent and the Tito’s martinis were great too. This is my third time eating here and it is in my top 3 favorite restaurants in Wilmington. I have lived all over the world and this is fantastic compared with restaurants around the globe.
May be the best meal I’ve ever had. I was very impressed with the attention to detail every member of the staff put into the experience.
Servers need better training -- for the prices charged, service should be excellent. Ours wasn't.
The main issue with this restaurant is not the decor and the menu which are decent but rather the horrible service all around. We were a group of five and we were unable to even complete the order with scattered staff, rude waiter, and inconsistent service all around. We waited over an hour for the food only to regretfully find that each and every dish came wrong. Several dishes were completely forgotten, other dishes we never ordered came along, the waiter was frustrated, impatient and apathetic, culminating in rude comments by him. Our attempt to approach the restaurant manager did not prove fruitful. Would never come back and would not recommend anyone else to dine there as well.
The menu has a good variety of Italian food to suit most, the service was friendly, fast, and food was excellent. While you wait for your order, fresh Tuscan bread was served with olive oil dipping sause with roasted garlic and vinegar, awesome. Great wine list, great pizza. We'll be back to try everything else on the menu we didn't enjoy this trip.
Tried this restaurant twice and both times were very disappointing. First time asked to substitute a vegetable for a pasta, was told no problem and then charged extra for the vegetable. Server should have told me there was an upcharge. Food was blah. The second time had reservation for 4, 2 arrived while other 2 were parking the car. The restaurant was not crowded, asked to be seated, said no will only seat when the entire party is here go to bar and have a drink. Didn't want a drink at the bar, ended up standing in the hallway while servers kept rushing past serve non-existent customers, very awkward. Chicken parm was obviously microwaved as it was unevenly hot and had been sitting out, pasta was cold and stuck together. Told server Caitlin and she said, oh I will tell them. Definitely not worth the money paid. Won't be back.
Excellent food and good service. Staff was competent and friendly.
The food and wine were excellent. The sauce was a little sweeter than we are accustomed to but still good. We will definitely dine there again.
Fantastic birthday dinner! Excellent food, large wine list, fresh made pasta I couldn't have asked for a better evening.
First visit, wonderful experience. Beautifully appointed space, service was at the highest level, from hostess to manager checking on our experience. Our 4 meals...combo of pasta and fish were sizable portions and met our every expectation. Sauce with spicy sausage was outstanding. Conveniently located near parking (metered) and a few steps from the New Anthem Brewery for pre or post dinner craft beer.
Food was fantastic, wait staff was friendly. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a quieter dinner setting.
Anniversary dinner. The whole staff was friendly and the service was perfect. The food was amazing and we will be back!!!! Excellent place!
Amazing!! Thanks, Jamie!!
A little loud in the dining room, otherwise a perfect experience.
Food was delicious, service was professional. Restaurant looked and felt clean and reflected the cuisine. Great Italian! We will become regulars.
Our waiter Jamie was awesome
Food was delicious
Very pleasant evening
This was the best Italian food we've had in Wilmington! The craft cocktails were exceptional, too! My friend and I had the special which was chicken and spinach stuffed ravioli with italian sausage in a pesto cream sauce...we cleared out plates (including the sauce)! We will be back.
Great food, with very friendly service. Loved the restaurant.
This was our second visit to which we were very much looking forward to. We brought friends from Raleigh who were very impressed. We were all very happy with the food, atmosphere and and service. Perfect!!
Excellent food, great ambiance, knowledgeable staff.
True flavorful Italian dishes that did not disappoint.
Excellent meal with very good service!
Amazing food, felt like home cooked Italian. Homemade ravioli was to die for. Super quant and service was attentive and polite. Can’t wait to go back and sample more of the menu. Definitely a must if you visit downtown Wilmington NC.
Food was a disappointment, from appetizers to entrees
Wonderful food, great service and setting. Will definitely return.
We were visiting the Wilmington area as we are going to be building at the Compass Pointe Community. We asked a future neighbor where they would recommend for dinner and your Tarantelli's was one of the places they recommended. Because we love Italian food, we chose to dine there. So happy we did. The food was outstanding!! The sauce was so good. Perfect flavor, not too spicy, not too sweet. I had the eggplant with a side of their homemade papardelli noodles. it was the best eggplant parm I have ever had. The noodles were delicious as well. Tarantelli's is going to be our go to place when we make our permanent move to the area.
Wonderful birthday evening-from the front door, service, food-a fantastic night!
Bar tender needs a lesson in Margaritas. For dessert we ordered the zepole’s. When the waitress brought them to the table I asked if they were chocolate and she responded No. Anyone who’s been to an Italian festival knows what zepoles should look like - golden puffs of fried dough. These were so dark we thought they were chocolate. They were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside and I wouldn’t have brought them to the table. Manager said he would speak to the cook and if we came back he would remember us and take care of our dessert. Not sure how.
We had a very nice dinner. Food was great
Beautiful ambiance, great service, stout drinks...but most of all magnificent food from the salad on up...very relaxing....you are going to need a to go box!
We had a 6pm reservation on a Wed night so it was a quieter time at the restaurant than a Saturday. We enjoyed a very leisurely dinner in a full room but not a loud one. Our server was Brianne. She was outstanding! We had two appetizers, each of which were excellent! Brianne allowed us time to enjoy our wine and appetizers before we ordered our entrees which were also excellent. The dessert was not disappointing ! We have recommended Tarentelli's to friends and they raved about it as well and we will return many times.
Attentive waitstaff, excellent food and comfortable setting make this one of our favorite restaurants in Wilmington
Food was amazing. We ordered 2 apps that came out quickly but then it took about 45 mins for main dish to come out. We split the daily ravioli - again amazing, but the wait for it was a tad too long. I also asked for fresh Parmesan which I never received.
It wasn’t too crowded either, maybe just an off night for our server.
All in all delicious as usual. The filet bruschetta is legit the best thing in Wilmington!! Could eat it every day!
What a disappointment! We went to celebrate our son's birthday, but the food was absolutely terrible, and incredibly expensive in comparison. We had such high hopes, the website looks great, the menu sounds mouth-watering, and the location is great. As for the food: The mussles were good, the ravioli and fried calamari were so-so, but all our entrees (Sicilian braciole, Vitello piccata, Filetto di bue alla da Vinci) were so bad, none of us ate half of them. Needless to say, we won't be going back.
Silver lining: The service was very friendly and circumspect.
Celebrated our best friends 45th with excellent food and drink. Great menu with a variety of choice but was hoping for Eggplant Parm. Service left a little to be desired. Alot of time in between courses butall in all a great night.
Excellent Italian food, great service & location. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and service! Great place to celebrate.
Tried the pasta made in the giant cheese wheel. How fun! Great taste for all meals; enjoyed all of us. This was a repeat visit for 2 of us and we will be back again. Our waitress was fantastic as well as the support staff.
