The service at this restaurant was horrible! The kitchen was unable to accommodate a vegetarian request, so I ordered breakfast potatoes and they told me they were completely out of ketchup! My friend ordered bacon well done and it came out (after asking the server 3 times) about 20 minutes after her omelet. Overall this place is terrible. I won't be dining here again or recommending it to anyone.
The food wasn't as good as I remember to be honest. The space is cool and a great find in the craziness of union square.
Thanks just let us know and we will accept.
Second time going through their brunch. Loved it as much this time as the first time. I'll keep going back & recommend trying it.
Great authentic and creative Italian dishes. Wonderful vibe and good wine. I think we came in a little late so while the service was very good we did feel a bit rushed. I think the waiter and kitchen wanted to close up and get us out of there since we didn't arrive until 9:30P. The place was full when we got there, but by the time our meal arrived around 10:15P most of those people left and we felt like they were hurrying us to the end at that point. This said we love the restaurant and will go back anytime, probably a little earlier though next time...
Went to this place for brunch - was exactly what I expected. High quality food, decent portions. Definitely try their homemade pasta!
Had the special tagliatelle pasta with scallops and ramps but was just ok. The scallops too over done and the pasta seemed like it sat under heating lamps too long. Looked a bit dry. Taste, also lacking. I expected better. The spinach salad was also just ok. Seems like it's thrown together with out too much care for presentation. Noise level was on the high side for the size of restaurant.
It is too loud and hard to have a conversation. Music seems unnecessary as the place is already packed with people.
Always friendly and good is always excellent I would highly recommend it to anyone in the neighborhood
Outstanding in every way!! Homemade pasta, amazing, world class wine, superb service!
Food was good and service was nice. Too noisy and hear to hear my friend who just right in front of me...
I liked the relaxed feel of the place. Brick walls and simple decor. Food is very good and restaurant is a nice size.
The food is lovely and authentic Italian with a twist.
The bar reminds me of being in Italy.
I always enjoy the young, creative crowd, but the noise level can be very high. Definitely not a place for a quiet conversation
Very nice, spare, attentive experience. Quality of the dishes have dropped recently and so now feels a little overpriced. The smaller plates and the wine selection are the reason for going.
Very good. Nice decor. Friendly service. Relaxing atmosphere. Good food. Solid experience overall. Recommended.
Went after a nearby movie. We were seated and served promptly. Our food was very good and the portions were so large we couldn't finish. Highly recommend.
When we arrived here we were somewhat concerned because the crowd around us was very loud. This was a dinner with a friend I hadn't seen for awhile so we were looking forward to catching up and that can be difficult when the acoustics are bad but once the people occupying the surrounding tables left it was fine. We ordered from the "Restaurant Week" menu and it was really good! The waiter was very attentive. So it was a really good experience! We both eat out a lot and we're very particular! We look forward to returning here soon!
$14.00 a glass of cheap Chardonnay with a $29.00 lunch menu.
Ridiculous and indecent
Cute restaurant with good service. Not very good for large groups but would be a great place for 4/5 friends to get together over a meal.
It smelled like someone took a dump in the corner. The food was okay, and the service was alright (we didn't see the waitress until after our food was finished).
My partner and I had Restaurant Week lunch here and was pleased with the food but the acoustics in the restaurant are very bad. The restaurant was about 70% full and there was no way to hold a conversation without speaking extremely loudly. The noise level was incredible. We recommend the restaurant for the food but try to reserve during a less popular time, either early of late.
Food and quality is very consistent over the years, despite the fact that they expended a lot over the years.
Consistency is not something you see very often in NYC food scene.
Prompt and very courteous service from the concierge to the wait staff.
Great local spot for a date or to meet up with friends for some good food and drink
Always love it regardless of which one I go to
Really enjoyed both dinner and brunch at Tarallucci. They have fantastic Italian coffee and wine. The dishes were authentic and service was great. Highly recommend!
I never knew they do breakfast, but they have great coffee and good food. Not too crowded, so it was a great place for a business breakfast.
Love this place but the portions are getting smaller and smaller too expensive to come out still hungry
This place has a great atmosphere. We had a drink at the bar before dinner. Bartender was super friendly and the wine selection was great. Our waiter for dinner was very nice. He explained the specials and was very attentive. Food was amazing!
Our reservation was scheduled at 800pm for a table of 3. When we arrived, the place was jam-packed. I checked-in and they told me that we would have a 5 minute wait. They advised that a few tables would be coming available in a few moments. That did not happen. After 30 minutes, I did go back to the front desk to advise that we were still awaiting our table. They looked and found a table in the very back so we may have a chance to converse as the noise would not be as loud. As we took our seats, the manager came right over to the table with 3 glasses of wine! What a lovely gesture and we all appreciated his thoughtfulness. The service was excellent and the cuisine is just delicious. The only time that I would avoid is the holiday season. Otherwise, it is very nice restaurant with good food and service and I definitely recommend this dining venue.
Noting like good food and great service. We had to wait a few minutes for our table but the host was so gracious and offered us a complimentary cocktail. I will be back!
We had a very large (and loud) table and they were so accomodating! We were there for 5 hours, past their closing time and they didn't say a word about leaving!
Excellent food and very fair pricing!
We were all pleasantly surprised at the very good food and value at this little gem of a spot.
Everyone really liked their food!
Food was relatively good but service was very slow.
We were a party of 7 celebrating a birthday. The service was great and food ewas very good.
My husband and I met another couple for dinner at Tarallucci e Vino and all of us enjoyed our experience very much. Everyone's food was quite flavorful and well-prepared, the wine recommended by our waitress was excellent, and the service was properly paced and friendly. I
Always charmed by Tarallucci! Another lovely meal. Great value. Delicious food. Warm service. And terrific ambience! Don't miss this gem of a restaurant.
The espresso dessert = *rubbing my tummy with appreciation*
Well, the staff at this shoddy run (and personally preferred go-to, prior to today) belongs in a basket of deplorables if I've ever seen one! Had a breakfast here, and in the lull of mid breakfast and lunch humdrum, were relocated to the window so they could get rid of us. Pouring out, as in torrential downpour, but felt like I was about to be asked to move to an outdoor table when I asked for a second regular cup of coffee. It's a perfectly lovely spot to have coffee and relax. But 100% I felt like an unwanted babysitter hanging out with a bunch of cool teenagers. I was hungry for lunch, but no one offered me a lunch menu. It was obvious they wanted the spot for prospective diners. Easily could've moved me to the open bar area but they opted for awkward glares and nonexistent service instead. The best part was actively working hard to pay them for my coffee (which, since I wasn't being helped, I could've opted to not pay for). Took several minutes and a waitress tossing me the check and TIPPING HERSELF! Lovely. I ended up going to lunch next door and enjoying myself. What a joke.
Food was sub-par. The eggs had no taste and the french toast had a very strong spicy taste to them. $4 orange juice that was obviously from concentrate. Bitter coffee. Couldn't be more disappointed as menu and decor were very appealing.
