Part of our order was forgotten
It was an average experience with a low to wine’s prices.
Horrible service, main dish did not arrive as the waiter forgot to type it then when he did finally bring it, it was under cooked so he took it back and brought back the same reheated piece after everyone else had finished eating barely apologized.
Also charged 21 dollars for a side of simple pasta for my child and did not even propose to offer coffee or desert even though we were celebrating a birthday and in spite of all the mic Mac...
We had a wonderful meal. Great menu, great cocktail menu. Authentic.
Good food and nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Good wine at good value
I was just excited about the menu because of my friends and I have some dietary restrictions. Service was extremely slow and poorly managed. We had to ask several times for water, lattes, etc-our waitress disappeared for a while...
Food was mediocre and everyone left hungry..
I was embarrassed that I had picked this spot for brunch.
Food was great- fresh and perfectly prepared - was a little noisy.
One of those nights where staff disappeared or always seemed to looking away from the dining area; they are responsive & afable when engaged. Again the small restroom was a mess, paper all over the floor as the basket was full. A little more attention to the food could raise its quality.
Consistently good. Service (Ashley) was great as usual and the rest of the staff--from front desk to all service--is always friendly, smart, and good. Pastas are superb. Coffee--fantastic. Wine list is top-notch. Cocktails good. A real go-to; I go here more than any other restaurant in NYC.
Friendly but inept service. It took a very long time for our orders to be taken, then another long wait until the waitress returned to tell us that they didn’t have any decaf coffee. Personally, I thought the coffee was disappointing, but admittedly I tend to hold Italian restaurants to a higher standard. The table service was poor- both the waitress and the busboy handing our plates and cups to us, instead of placing them on the table. The sunnyside up eggs came poached instead, and the asparagus were barely cooked. The 2 omelettes we had were very good, but as neither the menu nor the waitress told us that they came with potatoes, we ordered an additional side order (all missing the parmigiana cheese described on the menu). I will probably try this place again in the future, but until then, I cannot recommend to others.
All good. GrazIe.
I had made a reservation in advance and indicated in the reservation that I would be ordering the farro e quinoa dish without the farro in an attempt to make it easier when I arrived. Apparently no one looked at this note, because when I ordered the farro e quinoa without farro, I was given just a bowl of quinoa without any of the other ingredients included in the dish. It then took an incredibly long time for the correct dish to be brought out - my guest had already finished her meal. Not the best experience unfortunately!
Great food and wonderful atmosphere!
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere , food is not bad, but not very exciting.
They could not find my reservation. Clearly I had one since the confirmed my points
The waiter was slow, the food was slow and they got a simple order wrong. However the food was good. Breakfast is much better than their lunch.
Location of restaurant is ideal, tables are a little close together, staff is pleasant but don't check with tables often enough, I will continue going there regularly...
Excellent food, if overpriced. Spacious comfortable restaurant, nearly empty at 7:15 on a Saturday night. Pop music was too loud and a contrast to the environment and price point they otherwise seemed to be aiming for.
Best octopus I have eaten outside of Spain! Service was attentive without hovering. Very friendly staff. Portions were perfect and plenty of choice. It was a little noisy for a serious conversation but I would definitely go back again. The Upper West side location is great as well.
I love this place. Very helpful location, great pasta, fun staff. Just had the orecchiette. It was perfect.
I visit here a lot for coffee and pastries. Those are great here.
2nd time for dinner. Not the best Italian food and mediocre service for the price on the menu.
The service was a little haphazard. We were ordering off the restaurant week menu. I chose soup and was offered to have it hot or cold. I ordered it hot but the waiter kept confirming cold soup. I reiterated a number of times I wanted it hot but it still came out as chilled soup. When I sent it back, he looked confused as if I had changed my mind. The overall flavor of the soup was just ok. It was kind of watery and lacked any depth of flavor - it was Potato and Cauliflower soup.
My main course was a Duck Ragu pasta which was delicious and I would order that again.
We ordered a dessert and coffee. The lemon meringue desert was more of a lemon tarte - outstanding. However, we had to follow up on our coffees as they didn't arrive.
Overall, it was ok but not great
Our waiter treated us as if he were in our places. Perfection.
Friendly, professional service, great Branzino and ravioli special for Restaurant Week choices. Dined early and left before the crowd. Fancy drink menu and good wine choices. Thanks
Great service! Very attentive server and assistant. The food was absolutely incredible to the last bite. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
Delicious Restaurant Week lunch! Great value and lots to choose from!
Comfortable inside and nice service.
Came for restaurant week brunch and loved the meal. Would come back!
Classic Italian spot, casual with nice ambiance. Their main focus is the pastas so definitely go with one of those! Priced fairly for Manhattan and portion size is average.
Mediocre. Had to ask for bread— of course, not warmed. Food bland, wine so-so, $$$. A casual dining spot would have been tastier, more nourishing, and more fun. Waitress minimally attentive. A shame— just a little effort could have made it a good discovery for our party of four.
I was very surprised at how much my guests and I enjoyed this restaurant.
As a side note, I love good grilled octopus and I have tried it at a number of really high end restaurants such as Milos and Limani. The grilled octopus at Tarallucci blew them all away. Absolutely fantastic - best I ever tasted.
Excellent food and service. I’ll be back.
We arrived at 10:30 to be seated and the waiter came promptly to take our drink order. Forty minutes later we still didn't have coffee. Went to speak with the hostess to alert her that we did not have coffee. It still took too long for the coffee to arrive at our table. Service throughout the meal was spotty at best. Was difficult to attract the attention of our waiter.
The taste of most of the food was very good although it was not quite what we expected based on the menu description. For example: "HOUSE BRIOCHE, SCRAMBLED EGGS, ROSEMARY HAM, PROVOLONE, BLACK TRUFFLE AIOLI, HOME FRIES" This ended up being a glorified egg sandwich that had been pressed on a panini grill. Ham was fairly tasteless. It was fairly disappointing. We also ordered french toast; it arrived burnt and had to be sent back, which they did willingly.
Overall, the dining experience was disappointing and I would not recommend the restaurant to a friend.
Our waiter was great. But it is more expensive than average. We paid $100 per person
Unfortunately the service was very slow. We had to approach our waiter several times while he was just hanging out at the service station. He also told the table next to ours all about the day’s specials but didn’t mention them to us. . The very small portion of spaghetti with sauce that I ordered for my young daughters was $21 each, an adult entree price. When I mentioned this to the waiter upon receiving the bill he said, yes, the other table with children just complained about the same thing. Unfortunately the price is the price. Needless to say, despite the tasty food and nice ambience, we will never be back.
Yes, absolutely do I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for authentic Italian food. We enjoyed our brunch because the menu included american standards with fun Italian twists (Nutella on French toast and truffle oil on brioche egg sandwich). Great place.
Always a pleasure here. Squid ink pasta especially good!
Fun place for after-work drinks and snacks. Nice pours of wine and great charcuterie.
I'm a big fan of Tarallucci e Vino Union Square. It's such an unassuming place but the food and wine are both, terrific. The number of times I've been there I've always had great customer service which means a lot to me. The noise level is pretty manageable despite a space that's more long and narrow than it is wide. I would describe this restaurant as "cozy," but in a good, friendly way!
