The manager was lovely and checked up on us after the meal. Always a plus. The branzino was awesome (and a nice side portion too) and everything was great, including the service.
Have been here for brunch and dinner. Food was exceptional on both occasions. Delightful atmosphere and the service is fantastic. From the moment you walk in you are welcomed with warmth and treated that way throughout the meal. The chefs preparations are over the top. Great small unassuming Italian restaurant.
Thoughtful service and spectacular hostess. Wine knowledge great and meal satisfying. A little more diversity in the pasta selection (options were a bit ordinary) would have been appreciated but flavor was good. Lemon custard tart dessert was delicious.
As some reviews cautioned, we found to food to be just okay. The staff was nice but the roasted Brussels sprouts game out to us cold and barely roasted. It’s seems that they relied on butter to
It was incredibly kind to be treated to the free gin tasting menu with food pairings... we loved the conversation with the vendor and this is truly a neighboorhood gem with a Vibe... see you all next time Jason Pack
We had the most amazing server Emanuel. He was delightful and most helpful. the food was fabulous
The manger Adriana was lovely too
Nice vibes, but mediocre food . The other locations have better food
Very small portions for high price. So don’t go hungry!!
Nice neighborhood, everyday restaurant. A place you would not be embarssed to take out of town friends for a simple dinner.
I took a group here for a business lunch. There were 10 of us... upon arrival, we were immediately greeted and from that second forward the group was perfectly attended to. All meals were delicious, most folks took advantage of the Prix Fixe meal! Quite the deal, and excellent place for a big group. Can't say enough nice things about Tarallucci! Thank you for knocking my business lunch out of the park.
Nice place; attentive service. Good food, but rations are too small.
This is a terrific and reliable standby, with esp outstanding service. When the restaurant fills up, it can get loud but overall I highly recommend.
It was good love the spaghetti. The meatballs needed salt As a standalone. With the tomato sauce it was fine. But orechetti was fabulous.
Great spot in Bronxville!
There were only two tables seated at lunch. While it may be August, I have never seen such an empty restaurant in manhattan. Would not recommend this location at all. While our server was friendly, and food was just marginal, we ran into an issue with a gift card we tried to use for payment when the Manager came to our table to tell us the card had no value on it. My lunch partner is the person who actually gave me the gift card. I assured the manager I had not used a single dollar of its value, and my friend said she had purchased it at the 18th street location. The Manager was so awkward. She even said to us at one point, "you both look very nice, but I cannot comp the meal". We never asked her to comp it. Then she said she would call corporate. Fast forward 25 minutes later and she did not have an answer. She said we had two options, we could wait until she heard back, or we could pay the bill and get a refund later if gift card is shown to still have funds on it. She handed me back the card, which I then turned over to read the fine print. Apparently gift cards can only be used at the location in which they were purchased. I called the manager over to tell her, and she was obviously unaware of this restriction. So, we paid the bill and my lunch partner took the card to the location wehre she purchased it. The meal was refunded to her credit card and charged to her gift card. Would have been nice to have had a manager who knew how to take care of her guests. Will NEVER eat at this establishment again.
Was happy to dine at this charming restaurant where hostess and waiters were welcoming, courteous and attentive and the food was excellent. We shared a tasty salad and I had the salmon, which was delectable and my friend enjoyed orecchiette.
It was perfect. Was meeting a friend to catch up. Sound level enabled us to talk. Not too crowded so felt we had some privacy. Had a few different appetizers. Everything was delicious. Servers were attentive.
Very nice experience as usual; very Italian; love San Marzano pomidoro nspaghetti
Highly hyped restaurant per website but reality not quite there. Wooden uncovered tables with metal chairs (I ate outdoors on our gorgeous summer evening). I had the ORECCHIETTE WITH SWEET ITALIAN SAUSAGE, BROCCOLI RABE, CALABRIAN CHILI, PECORINO ROMANO. It was very good, really good.
The service started nicely and then simply collapsed. After a long wait at the table, I had to go into the restaurant and ask the bartender how I could pay. Good restaurants do better.
It is a good place for a midweek dinner. Part of a chain.
They were 15 minutes late seating us for our reservation but we’re not apologetic or gave any explanation. Seems as though they just forgot about us. The dining room was pretty hot for some reason and they couldn’t do anything about the air conditioning, so it was just a little uncomfortable. Our server was less than enthusiastic and not attentive. I won’t be returning. Plenty of great places in NYC that are worth the $.
The hostess was very personable & waiters were very attentive
Great meal! Delicious food!
Friendly service and good food!
Very nice mid week pri fix menu. Great service. Had the butter lettuce salad, fantastic
Excellent food and super attentive service.
Great service and a great menu - a really good place for some "classic" Italian basics. We had the ravioli and the fritto misto; both were excellent. The location is very convenient, and the outdoor patio seating is very nice (though there is a bit of street noise to contend with). Overall, really great!
Service was a high point. Felt the staff really worked on delivering hospitality. Food was fine. Nothing to complain amount but not memorable. Focus is on wine, and 50% of the small space is devoted to the bar. Dining area felt like a cramped afterthought, which detracted from the overall experience. It’s loud, too. This restaurant is oddly situated at the base of a fairly new condo/apartment tower in a space that seems more suited for retail.
Our 1st time here. It was our 20th anniversary. The food was really good, wine too!!! Manager was super nice and tried to make the experience good for us too!
We dined al fresco. A bug landed in my freshly poured glass of white wine. The waiter noticed it before I even did and was nice enough to say he would replace it. All of the sudden the manager came back to the table holding my original glass of wine with the dead fly floating in it. She told me they don’t replace wine when a big flies into it if you are dining outside. Nowhere in the restaurant was this “rule” posted. I wasn’t going to drink it regardless so I ordered another glass and she left the glass with the dead bug on the table. I had to ask her to please remove it. She said they would make no money if they replaced drinks with bugs in it for people who dine outside. I have eaten in many restaurant in much buggier places than NYC. I have never been in this situation before. Terrible customer service. Will definitely not recommend this place to ANYONE I know and I will certainly never ever go back. Too many other places in NYC that have wonderful customer service. I wish them a lot of luck.
Nice place good food and an outside eating area. Also you don't have to make reservations a hundred years in advance. That day is good enough. Always a plus in NYC.
Three other customers in the dining room and had to argue to get the table I reserved. Was told there were 40 reservations but in the two hours I was there (11am-1pm) no one else showed up. Service was spotty, food decent, nothing special. Outdoor space is dirty and along a busy street. Hugely overrated, highly disappointing.
Very disappointing. Highly mediocre overpriced food. You can eat better Italian at a large number of restaurants in Manhattan. Salad I ordered was literally a head lettuce barely dressed with a few Parmesan shavings and zero flavor/texture for $15. Basically a plain head of lettuce that arrived two minutes after ordering.
Cacio e pepe pasta was a very small portion and nothing to write home about. Service was fine, nothing more. Will not return.
The food and service was fantastic! We went for a birthday dinner and it was fabulous. Would 10/10 recommend!
Wasn't anything special although the reviews made it seem special. The tables were set close together and the noise level was high. The food was decent but nothing special.
The food was great, but the portions are small. Not the best value, but if you're just looking for tasty bites and a few drinks, this is the perfect spot to hit up.
Food for me was below expectations. I had the tagiatelle shrimp pasta and it was not yummie. My mate had the ravioli which was ok but overall starters plus secondi was very basic
Great place!!!! Very nice staff. Excellent food.
My party entered the restaurant first as I was holding the door for them. The hostess, not seeing me, mocked my last name by saying it in an ethnic way. We were not amused. While the food was good, we would not revisit this place.
Maybe. Friendly environment and I will try it again. I ordered the lasagna and should have sent it back, as it was room temperature. My friend ordered a chicken dish which was very good and the right temperature / not pre-made. They forgot to bring second cocktail, but apologized for the mistake. The vibe in there was good and overall, the service was good and they were attentive / even when they forgot. Would go back if I'm in the area to give it another shot.
We had a last minute business lunch there. People were very friendly, service was good, and food better then we would have expected. A great addition to the neighborhood. Nice small but well focused wine list.
