Tarallucci e Vino East Village
Established in 2001, Tarallucci e Vino East Village was born from owner Luca Di Pietro’s desire to bring the time-honored tradition of Italian coffee and cuisine to New York City. Like all of our locations, this neighborhood hangout treats locals and visitors to excellent coffee, housemade pastries, fresh pastas and seasonal New York Green Market inspired plates. Tarallucci e Vino East Village’s warm atmosphere makes it the go-to spot for an early morning espresso, casual meet-ups over lunch or drinks, and cheerful weekend brunches. Open for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner.

We had a Saturday dinner on the patio (the sidewalk between a busy side street and a neighboring garbage shed.) The servers were lovely, working hard, and very accommodating. The food was fine, the cocktails were light. Between the incessant honking, the NYU kids crowding the sidewalk, the wafting smell of trash, and the pop music blaring from inside the restaurant, it felt a little expensive for "it was...fine." Maybe during a weekday (or not during a pandemic.)
Bad lasagne - slow service - loud noise............,..:....,,,,,,,,.
I've probably been here 50 times as we used to live across the street. The happy hour is fantastic and so is the food! I recommend an aperol spritz or negroni, the cheese plate and the cacio e pepe.
Really great food. Everything Is spaced out well for outdoor dining. Highly recommend!
Great place for dinner. The burrata flatbread and tagiliatelle bolognese were great!
Excellent outdoor dining experience with wonderful service.
One of our favorite date spots in the city. The food and wine selection never dissapoints.
Great al fesca dinner with my sister. Fresh homemade pastas beautifully prepared. Great wine too, moderately priced. Would definitely go back for a date or with friends
Love both 18th and 10th Street locations. Friendly especially on 10th st whereas 18th can be a tad snooty.
Food was Ok. Came here last year for valentines, was great, so we hoped for the same this year, disappointed. I know V day is rough, but they nailed it last year, this year the food was all cold and mediocre. Will stick with regular service on a weeknight
Only served partial menu, service was slow.
Cozy restaurant. Food was good and atmosphere was casual and friendly. Would go back.
Nice place. No 'haute cuisine', but would go there again.
Very intimate - if crowded - brunch spot. Were out of the chocolate croissant for the second time by early afternoon. Other dishes very good. Reasonable wine. Attentive service.
a neighborhood treasure: always good tastes. you can't go wrong with any of the home made pastas. don;'t pass up this cozy spot.
Hanzel and team are always wonderful. Even on a SantaCon night in the east village, the restaurant was great!
Bib lettuce salad was bland. Server was mediocre.
The quality of food really needs to be better. The staff weren’t particularly knowledgeable about the wines or menu either. They were conpletely disinterested in the guests... the location of this restaurant is good but there’s no reason to eat here given the other options in the city.
Food was amazing, especially the French croissant!
Very nice neighborhood restaurant with excellent menu and superb meal. The service was very good- not inrtrusive but always available. Food preparation was quick. Food well prepared and good portions. Excellent meal. Ver good wine list. We will be back!
My favourite place in the neighborhood. They are always so kind and accommodating. It’s a very comfortable place to meet up with friends for dinner and a catch up any time of year
Consistent good food. Not the greatest Italian not the worst but better than mediocre. Service felt VERY rushed.
A lovely quiet spot for brunch. Food was very good and portion were huge and of good value. Friendly staff. Would def go again,
Our first time dining here, and we had a great experience. Warm, welcoming atmosphere; interesting and well -priced wine list; carefully prepared, flavorful dishes. We will definitely return.
Major "meh". In a city full of excellent Italian, Taralucci e Vino is missable.
Hansel and team are always excellent as is the pasta.
Great food and attentive service!
Pasta was excellent, but the lemon cheesecake dessert was outstanding!! Also, great service and lovely environment outside.
Not family style portions. Left hungry😕
Great food and drink. The only annoying thing was that they continuously would clear plates when some people were still eating - a pet peeve of mine.
Food was delicious and perfectly portioned! Waiter let me try a bunch of different wines and i ended up loving the sparkling red. Spaghetti was fresh and not too much. Perfect corner small spot with a cute bar. Sat inside but on the window so it was as if we were outside! Came here with my mom and were there for 2 1/2 hours. didnt feel rushed at all.
The food was excellent and clearly freshly made in house. The staff were friendly and attentive. A definite recommendation from us. 👍🏼
Air conditioning was not on. Otherwise it was a delightful experience
Love this restaurant, great food, cafe ambiance, reasonably priced and attentive service. It was not my first time and I will most certainly go again.
good bar, cozy, well prepared and tasty entrees; service attentive.
Sat outside with a group of 5 and it was great :) will definitely return.
Don’t what the hype is about this restaurant and why they require a credit card booking. It is average at best. I ordered the spaghetti and while the actual pasta was good b/c it was homemade, the sauce overwhelmed the dish making it inedible. I told the waiter politely and he comp’d our coffees but would have preferred that he comp my meal. My SIL had the chicken and said it was just OK. There is a tendency to overpower food with sauces in the US and the restaurant exhibited that. Won’t be going back again.
Fantastic authentic Italian food. Homemade pasta was amazing
