Have been going to Tapped since it opened, often for happy hour. Service has been inconsistent. Food is generally good - hh wings are good. There are plenty choices of seating - bar, dining room, whiskey room, patio- so that's nice.
Decent selection of beer, nice atmosphere, good staff. Come here for burgers etc.
Very good food! On a busy night it was quite noisy and service slow.
Had dinner in the bar - very creative and good list of drinks, good beer selection. Great bartender, want to go back and try the Whiskey Lounge...
The food was good, and the beer was OK. They had some beer variety that you don't see everywhere, but the style variety was a little lackluster. We went in for a fairly early dinner before a movie, on our night out and it wasn't very busy, but the higher booth seating meant that sounds from the bar area could be heard pretty well. In fact, the general ambiance seemed to play more to the bar scene, but the bar is awful small to make it a significant player in that arena. Service was decent, but nothing to write home about. It was all a very "meh" experience. The truffle fries were darn good, but there was nothing to make me choose Tapped over any other run-of-the-mill pub.
We have been looking for another good new dining spot in the neighborhood. We both enjoyed our meals. The soup was delicious. the salmon salad superb, and the peach melba was yummy!
Our reservations was for 6:00 pm. We ordered the Chocolate Stout only to be told that they were already out of it for the night. Then when we ordered the Porter Cheese Soup the waitress came back and told us that they were out of that. We were not impressed and will not be back.
Very good food ! The wife and i will be back too try out more if the menu for sure
Too expensive. Not worth food and drink costs. You will not make it on return customers. There were six in my party and none were happy and will not return. Sorry but we tried.
We ordered a variety of meals on our visit and not one was worth mentioning. My shrimp were overcooked/probably precooked, small, and hard as a rock. I like spicy sauce, but drowning them in Sriracha isn't what I would call a culinary delight. My daughter had duck with waffles....two hard little triangles perched on the side of a small duck leg I think. I didn't ask to taste it since there were only 3 bites on the whole plate. My husband had Scottish eggs he liked them, but his burger and fries were average. My daughters boyfriend only ate one of his dough triangles. They gave us a beautiful desert for my daughters birthday which was nice and the mule drinks were good.
My husband and I like to try new pubs in the area, especially if they serve local beers. The service was great, our server was attentive but not overbearing, food and drinks were brought promptly despite having a full dining area on Mother's day, and the food was pretty good. There were a few things that weren't perfect, but I can't expect everything to be tailored to me. The only complaint I have is there is not a changing table in the bathroom. Having said that, it is a pub, and how often do people bring children to pubs?
I took my wife for Mother's Day dinner. The menu was limited. She ordered Pork Tenderloin. When it arrived it was REALLY undercooked. Other diners around us who ordered the Tenderloin also got undercooked pork. I ordered Ribeye and requested it cooked Medium. It came to me as Rare/Medium Rare. Other diners around us had the same issue with their steak. With so few dishes you would think they'd take the time to cook everything the way the customer wants it and cook it properly. They didn't. Our table was set for 4 people. The Hostess and Server never took away the extra dinner service. They sat there the whole dinner! The Server was inattentive and never asked if we wanted dessert. We would have definitely declined.
A friend and I tried Tapped and weren't impressed. The waitress didn't have a beer menu and only told us a few beers on tap. The food wasn't very good. Portions are small and menu was somewhat limited. We were excited to try a new place but won't be going back.
Took almost 15 minutes for us to get our drinks - not enough servers to accommodate the crowd. Food good but overpriced. Don't open for lunch until 2 30 on Saturday and Sunday makes no sense.
What An Amazing meal! These guys can cook no doubt! We were seated even earlier than our reservation even on a busy night, Server took our orders, we ordered a couple of small plates as apps. (good idea on a busy night) and enjoyed our time with friends.
The meals came and were delicious the cetnter cut steak was melt in your mouth great, the scotch eggs, many levels of flavors. the Drunken Shrimp were awesome!
All in all I'd rate it a 9 out of 10 there was a bit of a lag on the shrimp but worth the wait!
This is not "just pub food". They serve innovative and delicious recipes. Have been there three times now, and every time has been wonderful food, great service and very nice ambiance. Wish that they were closer, but since traffic is light and it is easy to get to from Ridgefield, we will not have to go to Portland so often for really good food and a nice night out.
