Food was really good, drinks were delicious. Loved the live music.
Great time and always great food! Bad Game :( looking forward to the Eagles!
We found Taphouse 23 during COVID, place was great. We go back often. Food is awesome, great drinks, servers are very nice. The ‘patio’ is a great spot, lots of TVs for Philly sports, garage doors that can be opened on nice days. Overall, a super place
Fun place, great food, great atmosphere. we will be back
Overall a great experience: the back patio is a fun and nice space. We did choose this location as we were wanting outdoor seating due to covid concerns, and the patio was not as open as expected, but overall service was good as was food.
It’s possible the whole experience was thrown off by the music, so take my opinions on everything else with a grain of salt, and I’ll try to focus on the actual restaurant.
The overall experience was exactly average, from the food to the wait staff. Their outdoor area is a really cool greenhouse structure, which they’d closed off probably due to the humidity. Even so, it was a cool place to eat.
The issue was really the music. They had some dude with a karaoke machine pretending like he was actually performing, and it was really loud, and really awful. By the middle of our meal, our conversation had turned to trying to figure out what parts of the song he was actually singing, and which ones he was mouthing along to while allowing the original recordings of the songs to lead - really, really bad.
Food was good. But there were 6 of us and they sat us at a table for 10/12 with an unlit fire pit in the middle of the table. One side chairs the other side concrete slab. Not the most comfortable. Hard to talk as the TVs and the patrons were all screaming over each other. I like the idea in the new area, definitely need cushions on the concrete bench. Some kind of sound absorbing pads. I would go back again as the food was good. Needs a little tweaking on the ambiance.
Food was excellent. Server was professional and friendly.
our meal was comped - which we were not looking for - my wife's crab sandwich was delivered cold and under cooked - we were offered a replacement but declined as my wife lost her appetite.
My friends & I enjoy going to Taphouse 23 & like the open-air seating on a nice day. Their menu is a bit limited, but I’ve enjoyed the food that I’ve had. My main complaint would be their wine selections by the glass and their PRICES per glass. That’s where they’re making the $$.
Have been many times and always enjoy it! The cheesesteak egg rolls and wings are to amazing as are all the entrees. Fun place to watch a game as well!
Really nice restaurant, good drink menu and solid food. The patio was lovely, it just echoed so it was noisy. The waitress was a little pushy with getting us through but overall it was a good experience. Parking was excellent (free, plenty of it and right next to the restaurant)
Great food and service!! Great Motown band. Danced the night away. Wondeful. Night!!
The food was so good, the only thing we were disappointed in was the cookies we got for dessert. They were very dry. I've had super market cookies that were better.
But other than that, the pork belly was one of the best I've ever had. Deviled eggs, pirogies, Brussel sprouts and my husbands meatball pizza were all beyond delicious. And, as always, the beer selection was stellar.
I had the opportunity to checkout Taphouse 23 today for brunch with friends! I have been to Taphouse 23 in the past, but haven't been since COVID began..but glad we got the chance to give it a shot again!
I enjoy the openness of Taphouse 23...it was a beautiful day out and the windows were open ...it helped with the patrons comfortability level!
The waitstaff were friendly and prompt in meeting the requests made throughout the meal!
The food continues to be consistently good! Today, I had the Pork Belly as an appetizer and the Mussels for my main course! Great decisions by me I must say..both were flavorful!
There are a good variety of cocktails and beer choices to compliment most people's tastes!
I am going to keep Taphouse 23 as a cool spot out in Bridgeport!
Met friends we had not seen in a while. Our server said no rush and meant it. Good was good. Lots of variety in terms of cocktails. Wine and beer. Local beers on tap. Server made menu suggestions that were spot on.
this was out first time out since Covid. The chicken pot pie was horrible and literally too hot to eat.
Service was unusually slow for us. Food quality made up for some of the disappointment
Very nice atmosphere, especially in the summer. Good selection of beer. Very limited menu. Great place for lunch. Salads, Sandwiches or personal pizza.
Overall we were very disappointed. We used to live locally and loved this place, but on our visit back were very disappointed with the food, service, and value. My husband and I ordered veggie paninis which were described as broccoli, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, cheese, and a pesto aioli. What we got were mushroom, broccoli rabe, and cheese sandwiches, no peppers, no aioli, and it was served on an inside out piece of French bread. We ordered our kids kids meals, after being told options bc they had no menus. Much to our surprise out came $9 2 chicken fingers, and a $10 burger and then on top we were charged $2 a piece for a juice box. Our sons burger came out 10 min after the rest of our food, and we barely got an apology. Overall so disappointed bc this places has an awesome patio and used to be great.
The atmosphere was great. Very nice outside patio area.
Basic subpar food. We picked this restaurant because it had a great patio eating area on a beautiful night. It was fair. Would not return.
Beautiful outdoor dining experience. It is enclosed but one side is totally open, like a garage door open. We had wings, pierogis, mussels and pretzels for apps. Great wings!! My husband had filet mignon special and loved it. Kids enjoyed their pizza and spaghetti. Cookies and ice cream made for a special dessert treat. Tons of alcoholic drinks to choose from... list is 2 pages... Will definitely return!
Our server, Marissa, was great. The food was simply delish!
I'm sorry to say that the overall visit was only fair. The food took a very long time to come out and when it did 1/2 of us got our food while the other half waited 10 or so minutes for luke warm pizza. Also a little pricey for what we ordered. I was happy to share Mothers Day with my family so that was the best part of the day.
The service and food was excellent
We were looking for a good local spot with outdoor seating, good food, and good vibes. Taphouse 23 fit the bill! We will definitely be back!
Always enjoy the food, in particular the burger and chicken pot pie. Very clean and spacious. Have been there for lunch and dinner.
Great. Beautiful place patio and atmosphere. Servers were great. Especially Kim
Food was delicious and Kelly was an excellent server!
Great cheese steak eggrolls!
Such a great outdoor seating area. Good drink menu. Lots of fun
I was served expired baileys, the steak was overcooked and dry.
Met a friend. We were able to enjoy our conversation. The food was wonderful. Service was great!
Food was good. We had wings, pretzels, and goat cheese pizza. The mojito was also good. The kids loved their food as well. The patio is really cool. It’s very warm so no need bundle up. We will definitely be back.
I reserved my table via Open Table, and I’ve done this 3 weekends in a row. And every time there was an issue. (No tables for us, had to sit inside rather than outside). So I asked “is there an issue because I schedule online? Or should I call to reserve?” The hostess (and I’m not making this up) told us not to come on a Saturday night because they are short staffed and Saturday nights are busy. So needless to say, I don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon. Which stinks because their pizza is really good, and so is their wine.
Menu is small, but food was very good. Room is large enough to relax and enjoy our dinner. Service is always good.
