First time visiting Taphouse 23. Everyone was very attentive. At least 5 different people came over to check on us, including the chef. The food was very good. I highly recommend the Fat Slab if you like bacon.
Very noisy inside bar but the food was good and the blueberry lemon drop martini was amazing!
My wife and I went to Taphouse 23 with our daughter and grandson and we had a nice time. The food was tasty and the staff were very attentive. It was our daughter's birthday and they provided a free serving of ice cream for dessert which was a nice gesture. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and I would recommend Taphouse 23 for anyone looking for good food at a reasonable price.
we went there for fathers day, food ok.
I had white style beer muscles, they were on the salty side was hoping for garlic flavored
my husband had the sliders, a little overwhelmed by the bread, supposed to be filet mignon, meat was fatty, our daughter had the pot pie it was ok and my son had a sandwhich, overall food okay. Interestingly we had to wait a considerable time for our drinks however many tables were open, it seemed there was more staff drying glasses then actually tending the bar.
Not sure if we would go back
We don't go out for Sunday lunch often so didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't too noisy, service was excellent, food was delicious. Had a great time and would go back again.
the drinks were very weak. Ordered the Old fashioned and it had a soda in it and no alcohol at all. Then I ordered another of the drinks on the menu and sent it back. The Noise level was high on the Patio due to it not only being packed but the two person band playing at a higher than normal level. 150 a couple its not unreasonable but I could find a better value somewhere else.
Prime Rib on weekends! (Really good Prime Rib), nuff said.
Service and food was delicious and fresh as always!! Great atmosphere fun and upbeat!
The outdoor area is very nice but it was super loud. The restaurant was trying to play music over the already loud seating and bar area. Didn’t make sense. The service was also extremely slow.
It was our first time with a party of 8 celebrating a graduation. We were easily accommodated and taken care of quickly. Our server (forgot her name) was super! She was personable and made sure we were taken care of. One of the best we had in a long time. The food from the choice of apps to dinner was great. They also have a good selection of beer. I would definately return.
Very nice outdoor seating at the fire tables.
Live music was loud and so sitting anywhere near that was difficult to converse with the people at your table. We asked if they could turn the table fire on and they didn’t. Was surprised it wasn’t more crowded for a Saturday night. Maybe they should add karaoke.
Cheesesteak eggrolls are amazing
Service was good, but they ran out of tater tots. Finishes are nice; casual atmosphere. Not a wide menu selection, but good for a quick bite or sitting at the bar.
Had a great time , enjoyed the food and the atmosphere too !!! Wait staff very friendly and efficient!!!
Food was good but it took a long time to get to our table- over an hour just for some apps.
Really enjoyed the freshness and appeal of the main dining area, they had great beers and the food was fine. We’ll happily come back again and refer others to this wonderful Tap 23 Restaurant.
Wow, prime rib was fabulous, great taste throughout the entire piece of meat, cooked perfect and tender. Vegetables were grilled perfect, not over cooked, seasoned just right. Bread pudding was different than I had at other restaurants, different in a good way, served warm with Vanilla iced cream on top, outstanding.Waitress was friendly, attentive, entire staff was great. Place has plenty of parking, got to go back and sample the menu for sure.
How to wait longer than normal for my drink. My wife's steak and salad was very good. I ordered a margarita pizza soft and rubbery not so good. We had an appetizer and the meal followed at the same time. Was never offered a second drink. Look like a good place to take a date. Not the dining experience that I thought I was going to have.
We do frequent Taphouse 23 for Friday evening dinner, Sunday afternoon snacks and drinks. We have also been there for sports events. Your staff is very nice and efficient. I live in Bridgeport and feel your restaurant only adds charm to our town. Again, the Mother's Day Brunch was very good. Keep up the good work!!
We were happy to see a Mother’s Day Buffet Brunch was offered and made reservations for 10:45. A wide selection of food and the omelet station and prime rib was excellent. The room was a bit cool since we were on the deck and the windows were 1/2 open, but it was tolerable. The noise level was much better than when we went to happy hour when they had the TVs blasting over the piano player. Very uncomfortable and could not have a conversation with friends at the table. We will be back for brunch, but not sure about happy hour.
I was extremely surprised to have such a disappointing spread for a mother's day brunch. Was not appealing to say the least.
I was just here with my family from out of town. We had a group of 5 adults. Our server was extremely helpful and attentive. She was able to answer questions about the menu and give helpful advice about menu choices. I would like to come back again and try out the patio with live music as well.
The service was excellent and the patio is a great atmosphere!
The new menu continues to amaze me as I try new items. The crusted salmon was fabulous! Their burgers are perfect!
My wife and I came to see Ken Kweder. You should have him there more often.
We hadn't been at Tap House 23 in a while but thought we'd give it a try since we read there was new management. The waitress was pleasant and friendly! We ordered drinks and apetizer. Our drinks came and then we waited 1/2 hour for the appetizer. The table next to us was served the same appetizer we ordered but they were seated after us. When the appetizer arrived it was cold inside. The waitress took it back but then our meal came and then the appetizer. The appetizer was taken off our bill but by the time it came we we were already eating our meal. My hamburger was prepared the way I ordered and my husband's pizza was tasty. We feel that they're meals are overpriced compared to similiar restaurants.
Service and food were great!
Reservation of 6. Arrived slightly ahead of time and was offered the option to dine on the enclosed patio or on main floor. When choosing the patio, was told to go out to separate hostess to check for seating - don't offer seating elsewhere if you don't know it's available. Our group walked out to the patio and the hostess there told us to wait, didn't mention anything about available seating, and disappeared. Looking around we realized the patio was hosting an engagement party and there were no seats. We went back inside to the main hostess and there was no readily available seating and it didn't look like there would be for some time. 20mins after arriving for our reservation, they put two high-top tables together at the far end of the bar (off the main dining floor). Service from that point on was terrible - either the waitress forgot we were there or they were short staffed or a combination of both. It took 15-20mins to order a drink each time we ordered from the waitress and there was only one bartender behind the bar on a Saturday night. Taphouse says they're recently under new management, but they might want to start the hiring process again.
Sit at the bar and order the cheesesteak eggrolls.
We were pleased with the food / menu selection. The beer list has a good variety of styles on draft. We were there on a Saturday evening and the service was a bit slow. The atmosphere was very friendly. An item to note if you are concerned about ingredients, the salad that comes with the main entrees is fully seasoned with a house dressing. This is something they should mention. They did not read the notes in the Open Table Reservation stating it was a birthday celebration. We would go back.
My husband had a burger which he said was good. I had the sliders and they were fine although I did order well and they were more medium—I did not tell the server but she was great and I’m sure she would have fixed it. I will say the hostess was a bit of a disaster-we saw her greet people, ask if they had a reservation say rather doubtfully that she would see... she never went back but both parties were approached by servers who quickly seated them.
First time there. Took my 3 kids during Sixers playoff game and we all enjoyed the place a ton. Enjoyed the food, beer, and atmosphere in the spacious back patio area.
We had a reservation and were seated at the outside area, at a dirty table as soon as we arrived. It took our waitress 20 minutes to even approach us! Another 20 minutes to get a drink, as other tables sat after us had their drinks.
My husband complained so we moved to the inside restaurant.
We were approached by the manager who offered us a free round of drinks.
After waiting over an hour; we still had NO FOOD and had our one "free drink".
We walked out and will never return. The service was a disgrace. This place has swiftly gone downhill, it is very sad as it could be a wonderful dining experience.
Very unhappy & hungry customer.
Really enjoyed the items off the new menu and seeing the restaurant so packed! The Carbonara Pizza was top notch. Bar service was a little slow but the food made up for the wait. We are regulars and will definitely be back!
We had the nicest server named Nikki. If she didn't know about something she would go back and ask. She didn't rush us either. It was a great experience.
I went out with some friends for dinner Saturday night, the service was awesome up until we got our food. The food was great except both of my friends sandwiches were cold and all fries were cold. I believe our servers name was Lavinny... cannot confirm. BUT she was sweet and personable until we asked for her to split the check and she advised us not to ask to do that in the future because some servers are less experienced. Since she was SO experienced it was okay that we asked her... we thought this was very strange, being that we are all servers it’s highly frowned upon to say that to your customers. Splitting checks is very simple and you should never make your guests feel as though they’re “putting you out.” It’s your job... the live music was awesome! Not at all too loud, the manager stopped by once to check on everything.
We were seated at a table that had an open air fire pit...we have a two year old. After being seated we sat there for 20 minutes without a server ever coming by. Eventually just got up and left.
They introduced a great new menu! Great beer list.
Food was great, ingredients were very fresh, the menu was nice and service was good. No complaints at all. It’s has a nice bar but doesn’t feel like a bar in the dining room.
Everything was great! Would definitely go back. Rose was a sweetheart!
The food was excellent love the outside patio looking forward to the warm weather to sit outside! A gem of a place will be back !
