About Tapas Valencia
Located in Chicago’s South loop, we offer creative Spanish tapas, unique cocktails, and a lively atmosphere with walls adorned in multi-colored mosaic artwork reminiscent of the art of the great Spanish artists Joan Miro and Antoni Gaudí! Whether you’re dining with friends and family, exploring on a first date, or planning your next big event, Tapas Valencia is the perfect backdrop for any occasion. We carry on the tradition of great food and service that was started at our original location, Mesón Sabika in Naperville.

Tapas Valencia Ratings and Reviews
Tapas Valencia was recommended by a friend. She always on point with restaurants. She did not fail again. Tapas Valencia was great, the food, drinks, and service. Chris was our server, he was Great. Everything he recommended was fabulous. We enjoyed the entire experience.
When we arrived, I mentioned that I had an Open Table reservation; however, since the restaurant was fairly empty, the host didn't check his reservation log and just walked us to an empty table. As a result, it appeared that I was a no show for my reservation. It was Marathon weekend, yet the restaurant was very empty for a Saturday night, which was surprising yet nice. It's a hidden gem, and I think the marathoners hadn't stumbled upon it. I've been several times and am always pleased with the small plate dining experience. I would highly recommend it! The hot tapas are my favorite, and the $6 valet parking option can not be beat! Check it out!
I visited here with some colleagues while we were in town for a conference, and we just so happened to be there for Wednesday 1/2 price bottles of wine night. The atmosphere, staff and food were all fantastic! Small sharing plates were reasonably priced and substantial. If I lived in Chicago I'm sure I'd be a frequent visitor.
Nothing exciting, not even average, for example: I ordered the Grilled Calamari, it had absolutely ZERO flavor and was as chewy as a rubber band.
Waiter had no idea what what the items on the menu were or what types of liquor the bar stocked.
This visit was special; my wife was released from U of C Hospital & the FIRST place she wanted to go was Tapas Valencia :-) Our standards are Patatas con Alioli; literally a robust garlic potato salad, Dátiles con Tocino or roasted dates wrapped in bacon, and Tilapia Marinada; grilled tilapia with spinach and artichokes. The ingredients are fresh, and the food is simply delicious. What sets Tapas Valencia apart from the myriad of copy-cats? Service. Never rushed, forced, or patronizing. Just old-world courteous, servers who truly want your experience to be unique.
Our waitress, Destiny, was awesome. So accommodating especially with our two little ones. She made us feel very comfortable, had great food recommendations (esp. loved the Tostada con Centollo and Pincho de Solomillo.....although the Paella consisitency, flavor profile and size portion compared to price left much to be desired.) I would say stick to the tapas, and you can't go wrong. Also pleasent surprise since we are originally from Napervile and to find out that this establishment is a sister to Meson Sabika in Naperville, IL, as well. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Came before coldplay(easy walk to soldier field). For starters- jose the manager took care of us. We parked there for the show. Very reasonable cost. Than he checked on us regularly to ensure we were satisfied. Margarita our server went over the top to see that everything was to our liking. All dishes were great. Very interesting apanish beers. The only "gripe" and its minor is that the corkage is 25. I thought a little high. Otherwise service was terrific, food amazing and price was right. Go to this place before a show or a bears game
Host and waiter was excellent. Having been back from Spain recently. The tapas selection we ordered were just not quite as tasteful (bland) as I was hoping for. We ordered 12 different kinds so we definitely had variety. Was hoping for more than one sangria variety rather than flavors. I dont think I'll be returning here.
The food was very good and the inside of the restaurant was a surprise. The wait staff was good but a little pushy when it came to ordering and trying to remove our food before we were finished. Since the restaurant was not crowded we felt we were being rushed. Would go back again.
I love this place in theory--great location, attentive staff. But the food is not very good. We were disappointed in nearly every dish we ordered. The flavors and preparation were unremarkable. We spent a lot for one round of drinks and 12 dishes (the waitress recommended three dishes per person). Disappointing.
I absolutely love this place and the service is ALWAYS on point! The Dátiles con Tocino, Tostada con Pato, Gambas al Ajillo & Tostada con Centollo were OUTSTANDING!!! The Champiñones Rellenos were tasty too, but I'm not big on mushrooms. My Sista/Friend had wine and enjoyed it - I have to say as I'm a beer lover, my first visit I tried the Strawberry Sangria - I LOVED IT & HAVE IT EVERY TIME I'M THERE...
