About Tapas Valencia
Located in Chicago’s South loop, we offer creative Spanish tapas, unique cocktails, and a lively atmosphere with walls adorned in multi-colored mosaic artwork reminiscent of the art of the great Spanish artists Joan Miro and Antoni Gaudí! Whether you’re dining with friends and family, exploring on a first date, or planning your next big event, Tapas Valencia is the perfect backdrop for any occasion. We carry on the tradition of great food and service that was started at our original location, Mesón Sabika in Naperville.

Tapas Valencia Ratings and Reviews
Really enjoyed the food. My girlfriend is vegetarian and I noticed there were not a lot of options for her as there were for the rest of us. I will eat vegetarian with her most of the time but unable to do so here. We ended up ordering takeout when we got home. My family and I enjoyed everything else. Will likely come back as it is in close proximity to home. Lobster ravioli and lamb were very good. My mom took her leftover chicken home which means she really appreciated it.
This restaurant is a real gem. The food is outstanding and the chef came out personally to deliver our meals. We arrived during lunch and had wanted brunch food . The owner cheerfully accommodated our request for Spanish omelettes (which were delicious). Because the restaurant is open for dinner, it has a terrific wine list. The ambience is very light and happy. I highly recommend this venue for food, ambience and environment.
Although I hadn't been to Tapas Valencia in a couple of years, it remains a good place to eat, to bring a date, and if you like live music, then you will enjoy it, as well.
Whether you like your tapas hot, or cold, you will definitely find flavorful options here.
Tapas Valencia was recommended by a friend. She always on point with restaurants. She did not fail again. Tapas Valencia was great, the food, drinks, and service. Chris was our server, he was Great. Everything he recommended was fabulous. We enjoyed the entire experience.
When we arrived, I mentioned that I had an Open Table reservation; however, since the restaurant was fairly empty, the host didn't check his reservation log and just walked us to an empty table. As a result, it appeared that I was a no show for my reservation. It was Marathon weekend, yet the restaurant was very empty for a Saturday night, which was surprising yet nice. It's a hidden gem, and I think the marathoners hadn't stumbled upon it. I've been several times and am always pleased with the small plate dining experience. I would highly recommend it! The hot tapas are my favorite, and the $6 valet parking option can not be beat! Check it out!
I visited here with some colleagues while we were in town for a conference, and we just so happened to be there for Wednesday 1/2 price bottles of wine night. The atmosphere, staff and food were all fantastic! Small sharing plates were reasonably priced and substantial. If I lived in Chicago I'm sure I'd be a frequent visitor.
Nothing exciting, not even average, for example: I ordered the Grilled Calamari, it had absolutely ZERO flavor and was as chewy as a rubber band.
Waiter had no idea what what the items on the menu were or what types of liquor the bar stocked.
This visit was special; my wife was released from U of C Hospital & the FIRST place she wanted to go was Tapas Valencia :-) Our standards are Patatas con Alioli; literally a robust garlic potato salad, Dátiles con Tocino or roasted dates wrapped in bacon, and Tilapia Marinada; grilled tilapia with spinach and artichokes. The ingredients are fresh, and the food is simply delicious. What sets Tapas Valencia apart from the myriad of copy-cats? Service. Never rushed, forced, or patronizing. Just old-world courteous, servers who truly want your experience to be unique.
