Excellent, personalized service, excellent Spanish wine list, excellent food, interesting mosaics on walls. If you want tapas and are visiting Chicago downtown, short ride to this restaurant.
Excellent service and food v
Went for Sunday Brunch, food, service and atmosphere was superb as always!
Food and service amazing
The tapas and paella were excellent as was the service. W will definitely return.
Amazing restaurant for special nights. I had a wonderful time
Food and service were excellent. Been going to Tapas Valencia for years and this was best experience we've had. Music on Saturday night was great. Maybe just a little loud.
Live music was great!!!Our server Jose was patient and informative!!! The food was delicious and fun.
Tapas Valencia never disappoints. If you enjoy a tapas meal and sharing small plates of fabulous food, this is the place.
The food is high priced with very small portions even for tapas. Tapas are about small but perfect bites. The food here was lackluster. Specifically the shrimp were flavorless and the goat cheese tasted like red sauce from a can.
Good dining experience.
We had the prefix dinner and everything was delectable including our sangria. Our waiter timed everything perfectly so that we ate our tapas and one the food settled our next tapa was available. Best service ever!
We were looking for a south loop restaurant for dinner and choose Tapas Valencia. Our server Bryan was exceptional. There when we were ready to order our get the check and if we were eating, he didn't pester us. The flavors of the different dishes was excellent, with the rather simple patatas bravas being the hit of the night. The red sauce had great depth of flavor. And the best part was that dinner for 2, including drinks and a bottle of white wine was under $150.
Amazing food (interesting and delicious flavor combinations), amazing service. Highly recommend!
Celebrated a BDay at this awesome restaurant. Wonderful food & service. We were all very pleased. Was our first time. Will definitely go back. It’s nice to see that they take great pride making tapas.
Food was fantastic and our server Jose was outstanding!
I love this place! I come here every year for my birthday! I love the live band and the belly dancer. The food is delicious! They must have the largest menu in Chicago. Lots of choices and everything is good! Presentation is on point! The drinks are strong! The hubby and I always have a good time here. This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Chicago!
Convenient location near Convention Center. Casual place. Nice music. Food was good but not great...patatas bravas was quite spicy, not as well cooked as typically. Short ribs were excellent. Artichoke sauce quite creamy. All in all, good enough but not top notch.
Food was great. Initially the service was great. However once all the taps were brought up, the waiter stopped coming to check on us. One of the tapas was not brought. When we finally got him and ordered desert and gave him our credit cards he didn’t charge them until the deserts were brought. And then deserts were brought 30 min after requesting them. At that point were getting late to our event and literally had to swallow our desert.
Food was fantastic overall.
The waiter had the chef pick out all our meals rather than we pick. We got some outstanding dishes and a couple that were not as good. I would definitely do it that way again though. We had things we probably would not have tried. Great ambiance, outstanding service.
The food was great but service from Victor was basically nonexistent. I was wondering if he had another job at the restaurant across the street at the same time.
Always a great time. The service is very good and the waiters are knowledgeable about menu items and pairings/recommendations. Definitely a good value for an upscale place- expect about $30-45 per person.
Terrific. Quiet, not crowded, family friendly....Food was delicious. (Soups could have used touch more salt...might have solved by having salt and pepper at table...but otherwise every single dish was a hit.) Service friendly and accommodating. This will be a regular spot.
Everything was great! Food, service and atmosphere were amazing! The only complaint I have was that we were sat at a table that was a bit slanted and the plates and glasses on the table were moving a little.
We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality and extraordinarily flavorful food. Huge menu with a wide variety af dishes and drinks. Everything was prepared fresh and exploded with flavor. The sangria added a real “punch”. And the live entertainment topped off a very enjoyable evening. We will definitely return and tell all of our friends.
For being my first time, it was very impressive. Food was good and service was great! Always attentive making sure our table was doing well at all times. Atmosphere felt festive but relaxing. I recommend it and i would most likely go back again.
One of the best restaurants in the south loop.
Late lunch date.... amazing service, food and ambiance, we will be back again and again
Beautiful ambiance, delicious food and great service.
First time here! It was delicious!! Service was great as well!
We love the a live music and the girl who was dancing! We recommend Tapas Valencia highly !
We’ve been customers for years and enjoy every time we dine there. We’ve introduced a number of friends to the restaurant and they have also become regulars. Sitting at the bar having a drink and tapas while people watching is is great fun. Juan, the manager, is outstanding
First time and the food was ok. Had to ask for bread and olive oil and the salad was a bit of a wait.
Nice local place. All tapas but the small plates are larger than traditional tapas. Good wine list. Good service.
Food was spectacular! Dishes were on the small size however the beet salad was larger than I expected. I loved the black bean soup and the stuffed peppers as well as the veggie paella. Next time I find myself nearby I will definitely seek out this place.
I’ve lived in the South Loop for a few years now, but never made it here before...so glad that I finally went! The menu has something for everyone - it’s impressive but not exhausting. The food was consistently delicious; even the olives that were brought to the table when we sat down were tasty! The food came out quickly (even the paella!) and our hostess was very helpful and gracious. Be sure to save room for the chocolate and caramel tart...it’s out of this world!
Great service and all the food is the best
Been going to Tapas Valencia for about five years. Food is great. Can be a bit noisy (especially if there's live entertainment) but conversation is possible. Service is usually good, although on my last visit our server was largely MIA and some dishes took an unexpectedly long time to appear.
Excellent variety. Menu was comprehensive and offered vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options.
