Fabulous food!!! Jessica and her team are wonderful.
the service was horrible; it took forever to get our food and we kept having to remind the wait staff of what we ordered. They never refilled our water glasses. When I complained on the way out they told me that that was their last night: now I know why. Wish they had told me in advance that they really couldn't have cared less.
Doesn't say much for Trinity Groves.....
We ordered our kids food at 645. By 750 they had brought out everything but my sons fish. We left without my kid eating dinner. We will not be going back.
Patatas braves are the best! Meat and cheese board is excellent at well. So easy to order too much food so be careful!
Outstanding small plates in a cool environment with great wait staff
Excellent dining experience. Jessica's knowledge of Spanish wines, food, etc. is fantastic. Phenomenal host and wish her the best in her venture. It's definitely a must for Tapas dining.
Service was unbelievably slow and erratic (received initial drink order after finishing cheese board ordered after the fact; wrong food delivered; plates left uncleared; no refills on anything; missing items). Sangria was flavorless and just ok. That said, food was delicious and the errors allowed us to sample things we wanted to try. I would come back, but it would not be my first choice.
Wonderful dinner! The paella is fantastic. The wine list of primarily Spanish wines is different with some real gems. Just ask and they will guide you through it to find a new favorite. And absolutely try the mushrooms!
Very very good food and service. Their bar menu is limited and needs to be expanded. We’ll be back.
We had been to Casa Rubia many times until we tired of it being just ordinary the last few times.
Seems like this place picked off where the other left off. Just regular, ordinary. Was looking forward to a good paella, just ordinary. None of the tapas were memorable. Food was just OK. Ambiance is a problem as unfortunately all of Trinity Groves feels like a giant food court. Sadly the food is starting to resemble a food court.
That will do it for our visits to anything at Trinity Groves, just not worth the drive or hassle of going there.
Small group enjoyed everything we tried—the heirloom tomato salad and goat cheese toast bites with green sauce and crushed hazelnuts were the stars. Great, flexible server, and bartender who took care of us while waiting for the group to be complete offered to make anything we had a yen for if the really good cocktail menu did not appeal.
I realize they are tapas, but $1.50-2.00 per small bite is not a good value.
Decent place in trinity groves.. service is good! We were seated right away. Most menu items are fried, wasn’t a fan of that.
We did not eat all the dishes. One of them was so bad and pasty we couldn't eat it. The food quality in general was very poor and not well thought out. The portions were not tapas sized at all. I paid $22 for a bowl of grilled octopus that had 2/3 potatoes and 8 small pieces of octopus. Way overpriced.
The food was very flavorful. Our waiter was very attentive. The only thing that wasn’t outstanding was the fried chicken. But it was still good
The food was very good but you get VERY little for the price. I understand this is a tapas place so I expected small portions, however the price isn’t justified imo. We had the charcuterie with 4 items. This I do believe was worth the price and I would suggest getting more since it’s a good value. We also had 1 olive for $1.50. Yes ONE olive. We also tried the crab croquettes and grilled octopus. Both were very good but small. The octopus was an extremely small portion for $22. Not worth it. We will not be going back
Food was mediocre at the very best. This was a bar masquerading as a restaurant! Tapas were soso and pintxos were a joke, literally, we all laughed about them. One poor server kept dropping plates and glasses around us!!
Wait staff is very knowledgeable on drink menu, their suggestions were excellent!
Birthday dinner! Hadn’t been here since Valentine’s Day. That’s too long!
Good food although they ran out of the grilled octopus which is supposed to be the best dish. If its's your best seller, you should have enough in my opinion. Great wine list and affordable. The tapas are a bit overpriced and you need several to fill up so it adds up quick. Very loud in the restaurant. Nothing to rave about on the service, you end up getting several servers/runners and don't form a relationship with your server like in other places.
Rich deep flavors with a staff that is super hospitable. They really want everything about your visit to be a good memory. A place worth coming back to again and again.
Had a really nice date night with my wife and to see what we will be able to see when we go to Spain for our anniversary
As a longtime fan of the old Casa Rubia I can easily recommend Jessica's new venture. The menu easily surpasses the old establishment's menu and the wine list is one of the best around. Great service as usual.
Wonderful but somewhat limited tapas menu. everything we ordered was very good and the service was excellent. We'll be back.
Their menu is concise and allows you to taste several different things for a reasonable price. The pork croquettes were out favorite and their homemade Apple butter is the best I've ever had.
This was my second visit to Tapas Castile. What I had recalled from my first visit was that the menu was more limited than some other tapas restaurants in Dallas. That I still the case. Most of what we ordered was quite good, but the menu options were a bit too heavy on fried food (croquettes, chicken etc.) with very few non-fried options and essentially no green options. Still, not bad overall, but could do better.
Rather affordable for the area, and for the food. I always end up ordering way more than I can eat. The patatas bravas are a must order here. I also enjoy all of the croquettes! Still, you can easily get carried away if you order too much, as the individual items can add up to be rather pricey if you don't watch yourself.
What an amazing find. To start the service was outstanding: attentive and friendly but not intrusive. The food was fantastic. Everything we ordered was flavorful and fresh. Prices were very reasonable given portion sizes. Probably best of all was the wine list with an incredible range and variety of quality Spanish wines. We will definitely be back.
Good assortment of different foods and flavors. The service was also very nice and friendly. Our waitress gave good guidance on the types of tapas. Although the dishes were small, it was surprising how full one can get. Will definitely return.
The service and staff were great but the food left much to be desired. Was sorely disappointed in the food, however the wine was fabulous.
Food was great, but there were still a few kinks on the service side. Once we brought up the delay and the incorrect item, they did a great job to remedy.
Excellent place to spend an evening with family and friends. The food is outstanding and the set up makes you feel you are enjoying tapas at a cafe in Madrid or Sevilla for a moment.
Rather nondescript tapas. While they had some excellent aolis and the patatas bravas were different from other versions and the roasted beets with goat cheese showed imagination, the snapper croquettes were way too fishy, and the pollo tiras were too much like mcnuggets.
Warm and welcoming staff. Casual atmosphere . Fine inside or out. Staff friendly and good attention to detail. Food was very good and reasonably priced.
The Iberico jamon was absolutely spectacular
Overall ok at best. When we went for mother’s day it was the least occupied restraint of all the options. No we saw why. We sat outside and the sat from kept a rotation to wait on us. Most Tapas places I have been to offer clean small plates between rounds. They did not but did furnish them when asked. Of the 4 wait staff half could not explain the dishes or sauces well.
Food was ok. The spainish ham on the meat and cheese board was tough and chewy. The missed mushroom were to salty, were not cooked enough and seemed to missing a flavor. Beets were ok (hard to mess up). Rest of the food was just ok. If you are an experienced tapas eater I would avoid. If you are new to tapas try other places to jump in. Over all just ok
Took my mother here for Mother's Day last Saturday evening and we had a great time. Our waiter was very helpful, attentive and offered us great suggestions, of which we heeded almost every single one.
We had the mushrooms (a must), fried eggplant, grilled octopus and scallops y jamon. Everything was delicious.
The food was excellent, the service awesome and I thought it was very reasonably priced given the high quality.
Finally made it over here, it was the last place at trinity grove that I had not been to. Absolutely great food, the server was knowledgeable especially about the awesome wine list. It's 5 minutes from home and I will be back frequently to try the rest of the menu.
