Tapas 24 Montreal
Located in the heart of Old Montreal, this new international location of Tapas 24 is a tribute to Barcelona’s cuisine. Both classic and modern, the menu designed and executed by chef Carles Abellan will offer several tapas, homemade dishes and classics from the reputed Spanish restaurant. The space will be vibrant with high energy, celebrating both the modern tapas bar and the contemporary cities that are Montreal and Barcelona.
A wine list by François Chartier
The wine list will be created by Quebec’s world renowned François Chartier "Créateur d’harmonies", named Best Sommelier in the World (Grand Prix Sopexa 1994 Paris) and former consultant in recipe creation for chef Ferran Adrià of the legendary elBulli restaurant. For this varied and festive list that will offer a multitude of Catalan and Spanish wines at affordable prices, by the glass or bottle, Chartier was inspired by the Catalan cuisine of Carles Abellan and Tapas 24.
Nice place but the food for tapas was so so . The waiter was
Nice as well
J’ai apprécié mais rien d’exceptionnel, menu correct , accès bruyant
Tapas 24 offers large variety of food, which is quite reminiscent of the food I had in Spain. The service is always nice, and my overall experience in this restaurant is great. My only comment is about the music: In the evening the music tends to be a bit too loud.
Great food. The only disappointment was that even though there were plenty of available tables near the windows and in the center of the room, they put us at a table shoved up against the open wooden staircase. Every time someone walked up and down, small dust particles would waft to our table. Strange that they seat people there when other tables are empty. But the food was great, we’ve traveled throughout Spain and Portugal and the tapas at 24 were just as wonderful.
We all were extremely impressed by the service, cocktails, food and atmosphere. We have traveled to Barcelona, Spain last year and felt we journeyed there once again in this dining experience. Compliments to the chefs and staff.
We shall definitely be returning and recommending to others as well.
Much love and light,
A bit over priced but the food is delicious! The service was a bit slow and they did forget some things we ordered but it was Valentine's day so I'm sure they were quite busy.
Overall quality is getting worse at this restaurant, it’s too bad
Excellent venue, great quality food and service. Highly recommended
Nice restaurant. Be prepared to order a large number of tapas dishes. Wine menu appears to be overpriced compared to others. Paella dish size is small and best for one person, with that its overpriced given the portion sizes.
Awesome! We are from Spain and was like be at home. Great food, excellent service, beautiful place ... We will return soon!
Amazing food, creative tapas, great service. Restaurant decor also great ! I will go back again for sure.
I went to tapas with a couple friends from Montréal and out of town. They were enchanted by the tasty food and friendly yet professional service. I particularly enjoyed the squid and manchego on bread with tomatoes.
Food and cocktails were amazing! Lots to choose from. could use an upgrade on vegetarian options but overall, very yummy!
Outstanding! Had a fabulous meal! Thank you! Service was excellent. Highly recommend the tuna!
We had exceptional service on New Year's Eve with a very knowledgeable waitstaff. The food was tasty and delivered just at the right pace for our table of 5 to enjoy and savor. Being from out of town, we found this restaurant easy to get to, friendly and tasty. Highly recommend it.
Such wonderful food - I had been to the Barcelona location and really enjoyed the innovative, authentic menu. We had great service, delicious/fresh food. The wine list was okay - would have liked to have seen more options by the glass, but we ultimately enjoyed what we ordered.
Love this place. Always amazing!
Some of the upholstery on the chairs was torn. Eve thing else was great
Personnel accueillant. Bonne nouriture. Ambiance conviviale. Bon rapport qualité prix
Great place to eat in old Montréal! Good food, quiet and affordable
Tout etait parfait!
Excellent food and service, nice atmosphere. But they have to do something about the music. Playing the same 4 or 5 songs on repeat gets very annoying after one hour.
Wonderful atmosphere, friendly service and amazing good!
Took a while to employees taking care of us. Server was sooooooo great, we stayed.
Nice food, not enought quantity for us.
Overall we liked it :)
Food was excellent, especially the main dishes. Probably the list of tapas can have a wider variety but in general it is good. This was a perfect restaurant before a night in the theatre.
Sara the horrible server actually came to our table and asked if the service was poor (which it wasn’t, until that moment)
She asked my in-front of everyone why I didn’t tip her more.
This is appalling. Tipping is not required and what I left was more than enough to cover the service that we received. I should have taken all of it back but she embarrassed me into giving her more money.
This is horrible and I was with clients. Most unimpressed!
Always have a good time at Tapas 24...really good food, nice atmosphere, excellent service!
excellent food. lively energetic scene so.a bit noisy but worth it. fun staff and great experience.
Really Enjoyed this place...the plates were delicious, albeit I have had better Paella elsewhere. I would have rated Ambiance and noise level better, however, there was a Children's Birthday Party upstairs that should have been held at Chuckee Cheese. The parents allowed their children to run all over the place screaming and staff were reluctant to interfere. I would have told them get a grip or leave as the patrons on the lower level were gobsmacked and some left in hurry. Yes I would go back, but check to make sure their are no Kids BDP upstairs.
IT WAS TERRIBLE. I don’t really like to write reviews, but this is one I feel compelled to write. The food was embarrassing, service was embarrassing, the experience was embarrassing. The food was overpriced and under delivered. Key ingredients were out to make dishes that were requested. Drinks were also lacking in the prep side with items missing to make 2 of the 4 drinks we requested. Don’t have them on the menu if you can’t make them. The wait staff was getting into arguments with the bartender who was yelling at everyone. Food was tasteless and ridiculously over priced. Waiter had 3 tables and couldn’t manage ours. He couldn’t remember drink orders, even though he had a “good memory” in his words. I have been to the restaurants that the owner states he worked at in Spain. It is an embarrassment to them. I have no idea how open table has them rated so high. It makes me wonder how credible open table is. They are supposed to point you in the direction of the best possible restaurant. This is one of the worst I have been to in the past 10 years. I will not be using open table again to make a reservation that I’m not familiar with. What a waist of a meal!
Surprisingly good tapas.
This was a quick “shot in the dark” choice
I don’t know if they had an event going on upstairs but the loud electronic “club” music, thumping bass -made conversation a challenge and led us to hurry to leave.
Without the noise it was an excellent dinner.
Great service, delicious food! We definitely recommend!
