we love tapabar! the food is amazing and the space is beautiful and relaxed. drinks are fantastic, especially the gin+tonic. it's our favorite place - highly recommend
Really enjoyed the visit. Lots of Tapas options that were very tasty and authentic. Make sure you try the Carmel Fig Cake for dessert. Service was prompt and friendly. Interior was hip and the bar seems to be doing good business while we were there.
The food was very tasty and the place is lovely and bright. Service was perfect.
Delicious food, wine was great and service spectacular
Liked it! Not a big floor (good thing) so feels more intimate and local but still nice-casual atmosphere. Food was good with lots of variety. The house cava is good too (medium dry)! Cost can add up but for a special occasion, I'd definitely repeat.
Made a last minute reservation. Had yet to try this place. Very good experience. Food and drinks were very good, service was, too. Wide variety of tapas, not difficult to find something for everyone. Will definitely return!
Tapas Tuesday! Awesome experience for a very reasonable price. My only con was that the 3 wines that I tasted were really sub par. Still, the service was top notch and fun, and the food was really good. I could have used more salt, but a shaker took care of that.
Happened to try this place on a Tuesday, which offers a limited all you can eat menu. I tried it and it didn’t disappoint. A few of the plates were great, and others were good. Nothing disappointed. I give this place 4.5 stars.
Great ambience and very attentive manager ! But I wish they were willing to stay open later as it takes away from the ambience to be asked for ‘last call’ by your server at 930...
Service is great and food outstanding. Especially liked the Octopus.
Excellent food and service, and a good place to talk.
3rd time back not as good as 1 and2. Waiter Bill was great. some plates better than others. Wine was decent. Will probably return however not real soon
Overall, I would go again. The tapas were delicious! Service started out a little rocky at first, but got better towards the end of the evening.
It was great! Really like the changes they made to the menu...the branzino was amazing!
Awesome experience, everything was delicious! Amazing atmosphere! Definitely will come back!
The food was good and the live guitar was nice, though I wish they wouldn't amplify, since it's nice to be able to hear each other better.
It was nice in that it was not crowded, and we could linger a little since there were no people waiting for our table. The one thing I didn't like (but many restaurants do this) is that they were taking away people's plates too quickly. Then it gets very awkward for the last person eating. I think it's not polite to take the plates til everyone is done.
Some of the best tapas in the area, and great donuts too!
Octopus was very tasty. The cauliflower is solid. The tortilla is good too
Great neighborhood spot. Definitely try the gin and tonics, and donuts.
Nice place to have a dinner. Taste, atmosphere, service of staff..etc. I'll be back again.
Excellent restaurant! Food is terrific, service is helpful and friendly, and they know how to slice ham properly! Go now and chow down!
Our second time here. Great Tapas and excellent service. Ahi tuna was divine as was the special of branzino in parchment. I love Jaleo but Tapa Bar is better.
I was with two other people. We ordered many tapas. All the food was delicious and the service was prompt. If you are interested in a less crowded environment, Tuesday is good. That was when we were there and it was nice and cozy, no rush, and the service was great. The quality of the food was on point and the flavors were fantastic. We did order one entree to share, the Chuleton De Buey, an amazing 22oz. ribeye, perfectly medium rare. I also recomend the Montadito de Tartar and the Ensalada de Coliflor . All are great, but we loved those.
Food was a bit simple. More could be done to develop the tapas. Service was great. Nice and fun atmosphere. Good wines.
Delightful lunch, delicious food, lovely simple modern setting. Note that lunch is not a tapas menu, but rather salads and sandwiches-- they are great but not tapas.
Tapasbar in Bethesda is the real deal! We found ourselves in a beautiful modern-earthy dining room with an adorable (and well stocked) bar. With so many restaurants in the area in desperate need of a redo TB is a welcome addition.
Once seated we were greeted immediately by our waitress Seungh Hee who was friendly, attentive, and informative. All of her recommendations were perfect and she really took the time to read us and figure out the experience we were looking for. She is a real gem.
THE FOOD WAS SPECTACULAR!! Latin Tapas that were equally satisfying to my vegetarian taste and that of my highly carnivorous bff!!
The manager (Mike?) stopped by twice to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. When I asked him about the dessert menu he not only made dessert recommendations but suggested after dinner drink pairings that we both took him up on!
This place gets the meaning of service and value. I can't wait to stop by next weekend to check out their late night vibe! I hear the drinks are fab. In a sea of Fives the neighborhood just got a 10!!
Tapa Bar is a very solid downtown bethesda restaurant. Good food and some outdoor tables which is good
Mixed feelings, some of the dishes were great but some were kind of so so. Glad I went during restaurant week so more affordable
I alwys lovevthe food and drinks there
The food was complex, artful and delicious. Really enjoyed the Restaurant Week Menu. My second visit and it didn't disappoint.
