If you like beer, this is the place to go!
Our waiter was awesome. He gladly split the bill for our party and did it quickly and efficiently.
They accommodated our large party, and gave us a small private room off the bar to ourselves. Great service and very organized, when large parties can tend to cause confusion. Our waitress was very nice and prompt!
Great spot for celebrating, but noise level can be high, especially on a Saturday night. Nice assortment of foods for anyone one & wait staff was very efficient & pleasant. We'll definitely continue to come here!
The Tap House Grill never disappoints! We love this restaurant! It's always our stop when we visit the 5th Ave. It's quick and a close walk to the theater.
Service was slow and good was brought out cold, when we asked to warm it up they basically burned it.
Great food and service.
Food and service were great. Vry nice and attentive waiter. One diner asked for no red onions but the order arrived with red onions. It was returned to kitchen and came back with fried onions on top as asked but the red onions were still there. Waiter took off the charge. It was pretty noisy but the 7 of us made our own racket so not a problem. The mac/cheese was a big hit.
The selling point is definitely the selection of beer on tap, and I liked that I could choose from a variety of samplers or do my own version. The food was alright; nothing amazing. Service was not great. Brought waters only when each person asked for it, and rarely came back unless we flagged for it.
Really imbrassing to bring colleagues and you dont recognize European driverslicense AS valid documentation for age. 35 years old and cant buy a beer.
The dessert sampler was awesome, though the beer sampler was even better. Will definitely go back!
I’ve never written a bad review, but the service at Tap Room is appalling. The hostess at 8pm last night seemed to hate her job and the patrons. The waiter with the long greasy hair was the rudest waiter I’ve ever encountered. He made me feel guilty just ordering water by asking me repeatedly what else I wanted to drink. I don’t think I should feel the need to excuse myself from ordering a drink when I’m pregnant. I didn’t want sugar or caffeine at 8:30pm nor did I want alcohol. I wanted water. I’m pregnant and often dehydrated. Plus, he reprimanded us for wanting to split our bill down the middle. We were left speechless. We literally looked at him blankly when he expressed his frustration and asked us why we would do that. It was really appalling. And I spent 5 years waiting tables, so I’m usually extremely forgiving and understanding of the service industry. But this was just embarrassing.
Great place that has excellent happy hour deals. Appetizers are delicious and could serve as a main entree. Came here twice during my visit to Seattle, with a party of 6 and with a party of 20. Excellent service each time. Overall a very accommodating restaurant.
We had the best corned beef sandwich at the Tap House. When they served it, I thought it was so big, I'd never finish it, but it was actually very light and delicious. The Frances Coppola Cabernet was excellent, the service great. We had farewell drinks with our tour group one night later and had a lovely time.
The service is always slow so leave ample time for your dinner. Food is great and while the beer selection is great they are often out of several popular taps. I keep going back, I just keep these things in mind so I can plan after dinner plans accordingly.
Food was blah. Better food could be found in a low end hotel in the middle of the country. Not special for people visiting Seattle.
Food was just decent. Tap beer out of this world. Nice bar set up. Great screens all over.
Servers were very attentive. Good menus and food. Drinks were not very good. I had to send mine back but there were no issues or concerns raised
I made reservations for an early dinner for my family before seeing a show at the nearby Paramount Theater. We arrived a few minutes early and the restaurant was almost empty. There was no one at the reception station and we stood there for several minutes before a server approached us and asked if we needed a table. I explained that we had reservations. She abruptly seated at the nearest table. I'm not sure whether the server was having a bad day, but she was very brusque and not very friendly. We had to ask for simple things like a kid's menu, water, and straws several times before she brought them. This is not an especially kid-friendly restaurant. The kid's menu was limited and didn't contain much my children would eat. The food was okay, but nothing stellar. Perhaps it was the experience with the server that put me off on the food. I ordered the Italian Mac & Cheese. It was okay, but the onions and other veggies in it seemed undercooked. My wife and mother in law had the Chop Salads. The presentation was nice, overall the food was still pricey even with happy hour drink and appetizer prices. But it is downtown Seattle. Overall the experience was a disappointment.
Nice little sports bar restaurant. Good food - we split the club sandwich. The Guacamole is spicey, so be warned! Service was pretty good except the server wasn't paying attention to which table ordered which items, and several got mixed up. Our waitress was really sweet and took care of the issues. Very reasonably priced for Seattle, we'll be back:)
We have come to the TapHouse many times. It's convenient when we go to a show at the Paramount. The service is very good. The food has never failed us. Our only complaint this time was that they made the pours of wine smaller. I get it...but that was disappointing. But, not to be missed are the Bacon wrapped Jalepenos! YUM!!
Would I come back. You bet!
We had to wait quite a while after our reservation time to be seated and several minutes for our drinks and food however, it was very clear that the staff was working as hard as they could and simply were just not prepared for the lunch rush that we came in with. All staff was super friendly and the food was great!
Great evening, service , food and beverages. Would surly go back
The restaurant was very noisy. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. The food was overcooked.
Great spot close to The Paramount!! Recommend for a pre-theater bite to eat. Outstanding selection of beers and cider!
Excellent food and service!
My husband and I enjoyed a leisurely dinner here, our waitress was excellent! We told her that we had plenty of time, so we ordered each course individually and they were served at a pleasant pace.
The food was good, plenty of beer to choose from, and the service was warm and friendly!
Good beer selection. Depressing ambiance. Serviceable food ... barely.
We were in the back room and that was really nice and quiet. A good experience but not too out of the ordinary.
Very busy, but very accommodating!
The host was disgustingly rude and had the worst attitude I have ever experienced at a restaurant. And the server also had a very bad attitude. She stared at us with annoyance with everything we said. Was not friendly at all and didnt say more than two words to us. She treated us as we were an inconvenience to her night. I never have ever wrote a review about a restaurant but the way the host treated us as we walked in and the way the server acted to us was unlike anything we have ever experienced.
Had a great experience. There was one moment where the hostess was seating another set of guests as my grandparents (mid 90's) were trying to get into their wheelchair. She was obviously waiting and finally chuckled with the guest as she took the long way and told the others to wait for the shorter path once cleared. The guests chuckled for a bit at this. Food was yummy and accommodating to GF and vegan guests. Drinks from the bar were VERY slow and did not come as a table (the lemonade order came nearly 20 min after the drink before that).
It took about 15 minutes for anyone to come to our table and take our drink order. We had theater tickets and needed to be efficient with our time. We were in a back room that a small party of 4 were seated and after we had been seated for about 15 minutes (with nobody checking on us) a large bacholorette party came and sat at the longer table and the waitstaff promptly took their drink order. We were so frustrated! Finally, someone came. Food was also lackluster. Husbands fried fish and chips was good, however, I ordered the ahi salad which I generally really like and here it just ok. The ahi didn't seem fresh, it was tough. Out of the 5 sliced pieces on my salad I only ate two. The other ingredients on the salad were fresh and the dressing was good. Overall disappointing experience.
The food is ok. Definitely not worth what you pay. The mac and cheese was more like mac with no cheese, the burger was ho hum, and the beef dip was more bun than meat. The beer flights were tasty, but over-priced. Half of our dining bill came from drinks for 3 people: paid over $50 for 2 16 oz beers (total amount of beer in each beer flight) and a 12 oz soda. Drinks are generally not cheap in Seattle...that’s a given...but that was ridiculous. Won’t be going back as there are better values with better food downtown.
Service was just ok, nothing exceptional. Never had enough menus for a party of 6 had to share . Always had to ask for things ! Came for a Graduation celebration from U DUB and very underwhelmed ! Went on recommendations won’t do that again. Food was good but nothing to write home about .
The staff was very accommodating of our large group. The food was delicious and the beer selection was outstanding.
Very friendly place, with good food and awesome beers! The waiter was very nice and polite!
Service was very good. Fish and chips were some of the best I have had.
One complaint- a member of our party ordered a glass of white wine and was served a $13.50 glass of sauvignon blanc. I did not taste the wine so I can only assume it was good. I would expect a glass of red wine to be easily at this price point; for a glass of SB it is on the high end and that should be conveyed to the customer in some way prior to serving. That is me speaking as someone with 20 years of hospitality experience...
My husband and I visited Tap House on a date night. The food was pretty good, and the drinks were, too. The service was slow even though the restaurant didn't seem super busy. I'm not sure if we would return again for a date night.
Came here looking for a burger but wasn’t impressed with their burger menu. I wanted just a plain burger, not something mixed with bacon. The hummus plate was good though and the beer was great. Service was very good.
