Excellent food and service. Brunch menu was diverse and the Mother's Day photo booth was a nice touch.
It’s a great eat and run restaurRant
Good casual mid Atlanta eatery...a little noisy with all the construction across the street...
There was no valet parking and parking was far and difficult. I was credited $5.00 on my bill, but parking was $6.00.
We enjoyed our patio brunch at Tap, but there is definitely room for improvement. Highlights were mini strawberry muffins, the biscuit, and the yummy omelette. But service was a bit slow - we saw tables come in and order after us and get served before we did. When we ordered mimosas, we could see them sitting at the bar for a good 10-12 minutes before they were delivered to our table. I would also love it if they played some light music out on the patio.
Dinner together with my wife before a symphony concert. Beautiful day, so we asked for patio dining which is always great at TAP. The patio was full so they seated us at the corner glass with great views and light. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Food was excellent, creative, well-prepared and presented, hot and timely. We love this place, come back as often as we can, and always recommend it!
Service wasn't the best! I got the taco's and asked the server if they were spicy and she said Not at all. All of them were spicy and I could hardly eat them. My husband shared his dish with me because of it. Cost is too expensive to not enjoy your food!
Thanks for all of the advice on my special diet! I was able to enjoy something off the menu and just couldn't have the dressing
My husband enjoyed the extensive beer list and was able to try a couple
Love Chef Matt's additions to the menu.
I'm hoping that he'll decide to have tasting dinners every so often like he did at One - I really enjoyed those!
great bar and restaurant. good beer list of bottles and draft. Wonderful wait staff. Cozy lighting, nice for date night.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner before a show down the street from Tap. Excellent service, friendly staff, food was really prompt in arriving at table. Served hot and just scrumptious! The Sirachi Cauliflower is a must for a different appetizer.
Food was just not good. Not impressed
The ambiance & service were good, unfortunately the food left much to be desired. The crab hush puppies were dry, tasteless & overcooked. How can you mess up a Caesar salad?? Serve halved-heads of romaine on top of a thick tasteless white paste, toss a few croutons on the plate & serve with an off balance “vinaigrette”. Main of Gnocchi with duck confit and mushroom... the mushrooms were the best part of this over-priced dish with scant undercooked gnocchi & stringy duck.
I want to be happy with Tap but the food is honestly sub par. The flavors are blunt, the meats were dry and seemed to be reheated and/or marinated within an inch of their life. The pretzel is good, but the cheese sauce that accompanied it was flavorless and lumpy. I'd ordered the mixed green salad and the balsamic vinaigrette was harsh. The salad itself did have nice fresh veg. That was the only redeeming quality.
Service and ambiance excellent but need more choices and better quality on food
The hummus plate was wonderful and came quickly. Location very convenient.
Good for outdoor seating. Good beer selection. Kitchen is very efficient. Attention of wait staff not great.
Very well laid out restaurant with an amazing beer selection and surprisingly good and varied menu.
Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Great place for pre-show dining!
food and service were terrible. manager came over to apologize, but ended up blaming us on the fact that our meal came out wrong
The food is just ok and the service is pretty bad. No sugar for iced tea until asked numerous times. Who serves a burger and no condiments? I got tired of waiting and went without. Some random covering falling off the stairs and old signs shoved in the corner. You can do better.
My issue was that we asked for two glasses of Merlot. The waitperson suggested a bottle of Merlot which was priced at $32. The problem was that she came back with a substitute red wine (since the restaurant was out of Merlot), but we learned upon receipt of the check that this bottle was $52. This evening was a Valentine's Day dinner with a new date, and I wasn't about to make a fuss over the additional $20 bottle of wine. I left Tap very disappointed in that transaction.
On a positive note, your restaurant had a very nice atmosphere and the waitress did her job well.
Lunch service was attentive, food was average - salmon sandwich was blackened, but not spicy or very flavorful, nice roll but too big for the salmon filet. Grilled cheese tasted OK but was on a roll of some kind which has a hard crust - so not so much a grilled cheese sandwich, but cheese bread on a mini loaf. The tomato soup was good. Great location, I do recommend for lunch or a drink; just wish the food was better.
Enjoyable pub food. Loud if you are trying to visit with friends. Fun if you are there to have a drink and kick back for a short while. Convenient location for meeting friends before or after a show/event in Buckhead.
Amazing! #1 place for visiting Atlanta. I love the appetizers and entrees. Easily one of my favorite places to go now.
This was the worst service I've ever had. We had an event to get to that began at 3 pm. Our reservation was at 12:30 and we didn't get food and drinks until 2:00 pm. When we ordered our second round of drinks, they sat at the bar for 15 minutes and we had to ask the manager to cancel the order. There were only 3 tables in our section of small groups so it was not busy at all. It is unfortunate because the food is pretty good but the service ruins the entire experience.
Horrible service and poor customer experience.
After and hour or waiting for our food we found out kitchen had a service issue.
Neither server nor manager reached out to earn of delay.
Would avoid this restaurant
My daughter and I dined at TAP prior to a symphony concert. It seemed like a nice option among the high-rises in the Colony Square area, with a neighborhood pub feel. The bar seems to be the centerpiece of the inside, with small tables around the perimeter for dining. Being a winter night the patio seating was not being used, but it looked like a wonderful option for the warmer seasons.
We were seated immediately upon arrival (was not busy at the time). It took a little while for our server to connect with us, but after that his service was excellent. The food menu was somewhat limited, but that was fine for our purposes; our appetizer and entrees were very good. Would recommend TAP to those looking for this type of option; in close proximity to the Woodruff Arts Center.
Great spot for dinner before the ASO. Service was excellent & we were timely for the pre concert lecture.
The appetizers were great! We had calamari, hummus and chickpea fritters. Extensive wine and beer list to choose from.
The entrees were meh, I had the fish and chips- fish wasn't fresh and chips were fried too hard for my taste. Would go back for drinks and apps, but not for entrees. We went during dinner time.
We in town to see a show at Symphony Hall and wanted to eat nearby. This was perfect- just a short walk from the venue. They have a nice beer selection. The food was good. Fairly standard gastropub fare. The tacos were excellent.
The place was empty and the tables were sticky, that was my first impressions. We were hungry and out of choices so we decided to stay. We had the tacos, grilled cheese and the chicken sandwich. The tacos were basic as was the chicken sandwich, nothing good or bad to say. The grilled cheese was awful and cost more than the other entrees.
I got a better meal and service at the airport than I did at this place. I would not eat here again or recommend them to any one.
Disappointing. We have been going for our family holiday lunch for several years, always enjoying the food & ambiance. This year the menu was limited, the holiday decor missing and the food was sub par. And there was an unpleasant odor.
We choose Tap because the food, service, and location is perfect for our evenings at the symphony. The food this occasion was prepared as expected, arrived quickly, and was very tasty. We typically order the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato basil bisque.
Good location if you're catching something at the Woodruff Center, but it's just fair. Service was okay, but it took quite a while to get food out to us. Average.
We were visiting from out of town and looking for a good local gastropub. TAPdid not disappoint. Just beware that the jerk chicken wings, although delicious, are not for the faint hearted! Enjoy the heat!
Our experience at Tap could not have been any better! My wife’s company was having a small gathering for holiday party prior to attending the Brian Setzer Christmas show at Symphony Hall. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was fun, and most importantly, our service was the best I’ve seen in years. Our server, Ashley , was outstanding. She anticipated every need we had and delivered in every way. She was friendly, prompt, and professional throughout the evening. It’s been along time since I have raved about a restaurant experience, but you guys really impressed all of us that night. Continued success to you in the future and we will be back!
3rd time here and 1st time to actually get a table since I reserved in advance. We did run about 10 minutes behind with the terrible traffic, but they were sweet and accommodating. We had a show later that evening. Service was quick and food is reasonably priced for Atlanta. Beer selection is very good. Valet was a nice option ($5 up front, but they take that off your tab if you show them your receipt). Hours are a bit restricted though if your show at the ASO runs beyond 10P. We had to leave the show early so that we could pick up our vehicles before the valet left
We have made it a bit of a tradition that we attend the CHOA Children's Parade and then eat after the parade at TAP. This year only ensured this tradition would continue. The restaurant was so accommodating to our large party with multiple families. We were able to sit outside and still view the end of the parade. The food was outstanding and I'm not sure I've ever received better service. The waitress was beyond patient and efficient. All of the staff was so sincere in their service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fun, midtown spot.
Perfect for a pre concert meal. We loved the drink selections, location, atmosphere and service.
