A 16-foot Buddha, which floats above a reflecting pool filled with Japanese carp, presides over the scene at Tao. A favorite destination for celebrities and athletes, this Pan Asian restaurant specializes in authentic Hong Kong Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisines. Tao has three levels of dining including the prized "Skybox" which offers views of this former movie theater unparalleled in New York. In addition to its 300 seats, Tao includes a sushi bar, lounge and two bars at which to enjoy the food and the show. Appetizers range from $8 - $18; Entrees: $16 -$39.     Love the food at TAO. It does get loud. I was with an elderly couple, so we sat upstairs as it's not as noisy, but the stairs are a problem. It was designed before ADA......There is a Handicap bathroom on the first level but the stairs up and down are difficult for old patrons (myseld included)

    All I have to say is make sure that Precious (yes, that is her name) is your server and you will have the best time ever. Yes, the food is great, we expect mothing less in addition to the ambiance. Just make sure Precious is your server and your group will feel like the only one in a crowded space.

    Very cool atmosphere, however it’s hard to have a conversation because of the noise level. Service was good but the food was fair. Meats tasted microwaved.
