Tao Uptown Ratings and Reviews
We absolutely loved our meal. I miss the asparagus that used to come with the Chilean Sea Bass Satay and was sad that there were no chocolate spring rolls on the dessert menu, but our waitress made a great suggestion and we had the molten chocolate cake instead. Presentation was off the charts!
The lunch price fix meal is an excellent bargain. Although some items are spicey, peppery u can ask to hold off the hot spices. Very good sized portions. Skewered shrimp and vege egg rolls very good. Hanger steak and Branzino dishes also good. Have been at Tao before for lunch and will go again.
Maria the hostess was extremely Accommodating and wonderful to deal with. Our waitress Catherine gave us unbelievable service place is extremely busy and they made it feel like we were the only ones there. Highly recommend. All of my guest that I entertained felt the same way
We always have a great time when we visit Tao Uptown - my favorite Taotini is delicious. We had Hutch as our server the last time and he is by far our favorite server - even though we had never had a bad experience with service. It is a great place to dine with a group as well as a nice dinner for two.
Went there for lunch. Enjoyed the ambiance! Our server took our order and then suggested we add the Peking duck ad an appetizer (6 people). Don’t let Jessica over sell you on the duck!!!! $82!!!! She didn’t mention a price.
It was a scam~
Bartender service was terrible. Arrived at 5pm to have a cocktail in the bar prior to dinner reservations at 6pm. Bartenders stood around talking to each other for 30 mins before coming over to say sorry I thought you were already taken care of. how could you think that when they were the only 2 working the bar and was more worried about there personal lives.
Restaurant server was much better and the food was excellent
We were four older folks at Tao for a pre jazz concert dinner. The wait staff were gracious and guided us through our options as first time guests. The cocktails and the food were excellent and we enjoyed the vibe as more diners filled the room. The Buddha is awesome too!
I have been coming to Tao for over 15 years and am never disappointed. This time I came for Sushi which was all outstanding. We ordered the chef’s choice sushi platter along with a couple of rolls and everything was delicious. I miss the original towel music soundtrack and question whether or not the music they’re playing right now is appropriate for this type of restaurant but other than that I love towel and will continue to be a regular customer for as long as they are here.
