    Got in a bit early waiting for the remainder of my party to arrive. The lounge area was a great place to relax and enjoy a drink before making our way into the main dining area. The dishes were delicious and drinks were tasty.

    The other tao location is much better. This location seems to offer less (ex drunk pad this) on the menu and lower quality of food. The other location the food quaintly much better. Overall wouldn't come back to this location. Food was subpar.

    Arrived early to have a cocktail in the bar area and just before we ordered our drinks we were rushed through to seating at the table - rushed with water and what we want to drink and eat - starters came up so quick - before drinks - before we had finished our starters the mains were put on the table. When we got our bill they added 2 bottles of water when we only had 1. Very over hyped and not worth the money. Would never return

    It was too cold to have any ambiance . We ordered coffee early to get warm. A/C too cold and I’m visiting from Canada . We ate our meal and left as soon as possible.

    They sat us in a very nice center table on the 2nd floor overlooking the first floor and back of restaurant decoration. Service was very fast in a busy restaurant, from when we ordered drinks and food to when they brought it out not 15 minutes had gone by. It was my partner’s birthday and they were out of cake so the waiter ordered a substituted very tasty dessert: green tea creme brûlée. Highly recommended for the quick service and ambiance

    The only thing that was enjoyable here were the hostesses. We ran a little late and they sat us almost immediately, was very grateful! The food was almost inedible, we haven’t been here in years and unfortunately we will never be returning. We ordered 8 appetizers which were almost all terrible. Half the food was unbearably spicy and I love spicy food. The pad Thai tasted sour, the lobster fried rice was inedible. The rock shrimp didn’t even taste like there was shrimp in there. The spicy tuna roll and yellowtail with yuzu were the only two things that were enjoyable. The floors were sticky, the stairs to the bathroom were sticky. The bathroom has wallpaper peeling off, no toilet covers, not really clean either. I’m so sorry to see how this restaurant has not be doing any up keeping at all and the food has become nothing like I remember it.

    We are visiting from California and were meeting our niece and nephew who live in NYC. We wanted to take them to Tao on 58th because every time we have been there in the past we had an extraordinary experience at Tao. The food was excellent and the service too, but the music was so extremely loud and we could not hear each other. At one point after about 10 min of being there we all realized we were screaming at each other instead of just talking loudly. I have been to Tao many times, but never had to scream to be barely heard. I would still recommend Tao, with a warning.

    Restaurant was beautiful!! FOOD IS AMAZING your cant go wrong with anything from the menu !! drinks was expensive is your not drinking during there happy hour which was from5-7pm and only in the lounge area which is small so your better off eating in the diner area . Our Server Jonathon S was great he made sure we understood how the menu worked and was refilling our drinks constantly (he even re folded my napkin when I went to the restroom ) he also explaing that there dished are large enough to share which works for big parties to try alot of there food items which worked well for us . Over all the experience was great would definitely return to Tao .

    Stunning restaurant, The ambience is perfect & a live DJ playing a mix of music without it overshadowing the food and experience. I must say the reason I gave the food 4 stars is that it was luke warm, The flavours were unbelievable but not hot enough, didn’t want to make a fuss and we enjoyed the meal.

    Worst service i’ve ever received in my life, so disappointing. We were so excited to come and try TAO. We were sat and waited 15 minutes with no greeting before pulling over a busser and asking them to get us a server. Our server greeted us with “hi ladies are you ready to order” very monotone with no apology or acknowledgment/ conversation. The place was not busy or overwhelmed not that that justifies compromised service. Felt like our presence was a bother to her. Not once did our server ask if we enjoyed our food, wanted refills, or made any effort to make our experience a good one. To make matters worse the deposit this requires to reserve was not applied to our bill so will be reaching out to management regarding this. Avoid this location.

    I hadn’t been to TAO for several years and forgot how beautiful it is. The space is large and lovely. Our waiter was wonderful. He was very attentive without being overbearing. He had great suggestions for us and seemed to anticipate our every need. The food was well proportioned and delicious. I can’t wait to go back!

    My family was visiting and I took them to dinner here. The ambience and food was delicious as usual but we got horrible service. All of our food came to the table in advance but we sat there waiting for our martinis and beer for another 10 minutes. Finally we asked our waitress, Chantelle where our drinks were and she brought us the martinis right away (were they just sitting at the bar the whole time?). The beer was still missing so we waited again another 5 minutes or so and noticed our waitress on her cell phone and chatting with some other waitresses. My brother walked over and asked where his beer was. She was just standing there with his hot beer, handed it to him and he had to walk his own beer back to the table. We finished our meal and drinks and ordered another round of drinks. Once again, the drinks never appeared until we asked the waitress where they were 10 minutes later. This was the worst service I’ve ever had at Tao, and I’ve been here a few times. I was embarrassed I took my family here after raving about the food and service.

    We had the perfect experience at TAO. I go everytime when I am in NYC and I am always impressed. The food was crazy delicious, The ambience is always cool, the service was perfect and we were with great friends!!! Can’t wait for my return trip!!!

    Amazing food and ambience. Perfect for romantic dinner or large groups. All the food tasted incredible. Drinks amazing. Tao Tini was one of the best we ever tasted. Would highly recommend.

    The first visit to Tao was very delightful . Our waiter Pono was kind patient and professional. The food was delicious and prompt without a rush. As an added benefit the Bathroom attendants were kind as well!!

    This is a has been it place but lost its purpose long ago! On the whole, food was ok but average. To start with, make sure you take a torch with you as it’s dark to see anything for the middle of the day - they ought to increase lighting at lunch time at least ! Music blurring out was irrelevant to the theme - 80s rock in a pan Asian restaurant with Buddha theme !?! We asked for a bottle of wine that we never got but got charged for it- Check your bill, You could say we don’t be visiting this place snytime soon.

    Food amazing as ever. Ambience perfect. Unlucky with our service - waiter took a long time to come to us, then had to ask 4 times if our drinks were coming - eventually we got them 45 minutes after ordering ! By which time we were eating our mains ! He said the bartender was at the restroom ! Brought wrong drinks. Slammed drinks down. He was having a bad day maybe and we bore the brunt. A shame as somewhat spoilt the experience.

    Things could have gone smoother for a Tuesday night. Waiter brought beers with no glasses (so odd). Wrote the wrong name for the Birthday we were celebrating! :( Everything took forever.
