About Tao Restaurant and Nightclub
Guests are transported from the City of Sin to the Pacific Rim inside TAO Asian Bistro, a 60,000 square-foot, multi-story “Asian City” housing a restaurant, banquet facilities, lounge and nightclub. Lush velvets and silks, waterfalls and century-old woods and stones accentuate the experience, and the restaurant’s signature 20-foot Buddha watches over every corner of the restaurant while floating peacefully above an infinity pool complete with Japanese koi.
Corporate Executive Chef Ralph Scamardella has developed a menu for the 400-seat restaurant by incorporating culinary components from China, Japan and Thailand. Signature dishes include offerings from sea, sky and land including Chilean Sea Bass Satay with Wok Roasted Asparagus, a preparation of Peking Duck that consistently receives accolades, and Kobe Beef Shabu Shabu along with a full sushi bar.

Tao Restaurant and Nightclub Ratings and Reviews
Highly overrated. The noise level severely limits table conversation. This was the only time I ever had to use the light from my phone to read the menu. The food was alright, but nothing to get excited about. Service was standard with a few minor mix-ups. If you want to dine on The Venetian Hotel property choose elsewhere like Buddy V's etc. or wander off property and go to Morton's or Giada's...
If I could give Tao ZERO stars I would! Clearly they put packing people in over the common courtesy of respecting a reservation. We were seated well over an hour after our reservation time and when I complained to the manager, Rizwan, he couldn't ever muster an apology saying only, "I'm sorry you feel that way". We have gone to Tao for years in both Vegas and NYC, but we'll never be back.
830pm reservation, did not get table until 945pm, despite arriving at 825Pm. Seemed like Modus operandi. Staff polite, but no excuses. Obviously intentionally overbooked. Open Table should not accept such blatant violations of their booking system. Food was okay and staff professional, but very disappointed by the extraordinarily long wait - have never experienced anything like this with Open Table.
My friends and I celebrated my 50th birthday and it was amazing! The food was AWESOME and the dancing after dinner was great too; however, the music should be catered to everyone. More reggae should be incorporated. I would definitely go back to Tao for dinner, without a doubt!!
I understand tuna is not in peak season and I didn’t expect top quality this time of year but the tuna I got was old and was not seared anytime around the time I ordered. The few other things we ordered and shared had problems but not to the degree of the tuna. This went from my favorite restaurant to my least favorite in one trip. So disappointed we paid, left, and ate at another place.
We had heard great things about TAO and they were all true! Had dinner reservations at 10pm following the Criss Angel show at the LUXOR. The ambience and vibe are fantastic with good music at an acceptable level. Our table was ready immediately and our adorable server was helpful with wonderful suggestions. Perfect for sharing: the Filet Mignon Pepper Steak Spicy Chili Chicken with Pineapple and Soy, Chinese Sausage Fried Rice with Fried Egg, and Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Tuna, Avocado, and Soy Paper Roll
For our son's birthday dessert - Giant Fortune Cookie – White & Dark Chocolate Mousse
Everything was OUTSTANDING!
We highly recommend TAO. Great in every way!
Had an absolutely fantastic evening dining at the TAO Restaurant and Nightclub in Las Vegas. The food was exquisite -- started the meal with the vegetarian egg rolls, served with a duck sauce and (very) spicy mustard sauce (both of which were FANTASTIC!); Satay of Chicken with Peanut Sauce -- chicken grilled to perfection with a mouth-watering peanut sauce, and the cucumber salad was refreshing, delightful, and light, the perfect combination with the dish (and might I add, the spicy mustard sauce served with the egg rolls was combined with the salad that added a very spicy tang of flavor); and lastly, my FAVORITE, the Spicy Tuna Tartare on Crispy Rice -- the cripsy rice, PHEMONIAL! Wow, the most delicious tuna tartare I've ever had!
After the high I experienced from my delicious appetizer, I ordered the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass with Wok Vegetables. Grilled and sauteed to PERFECTION. I have never had a more fantastic piece of fish in my entire life. HIGHLY recommend this popular dish when at the TAO. My girlfriend had the Crispy Orange Chicken, and would recommend for any chicken lover that has a sweet tooth.
Ended the evening with the Molten Chocolate Cake – Salted Caramel Ice Cream dessert, which was so rich and creamy and chocolatey. For any chocolate lover, this is the dessert for you!
Overall, had a lovely experience at TAO; the service, drink, FOOD**, and atmosphere, made for an unforgettable (last) evening in Vegas.
My husband & I have been to Tao from last June 1-4 , 2017 summer for our 1 year wedding anniversary for dinner and really had a good experience so decided to go there again for this past New years eve eve for dinner again visiting from Chicago.
The portions are large and delicious , from the chinese style fried rice w/ sausage & eggs, coconut shrimp, and dragon rolls. We especially enjoy the desserts of both the giant fortune cookie to the strawberry ice cream w/ creme brulee.
The waitstaff and management of Tao also were attentive to us too and the overall ambiance has always been upscale & exciting to us.
We love Tao in Las Vegas!
Came here for our anniversary. Had difficulty with the hostess, who wanted to put us at a table in the bar area. We had stopped by earlier and politely let them know it was our anniversary and a table in the main dining area would be appreciated. After insisting on a better table we were eventually led into the main dining area, where we were seated at a table for 2, one of several open in that area. Really don't understand the unnecessary drama.
After that was sorted, the service from our waiter was excellent, he had many good suggestions and the food was great.
