Guests are transported from the City of Sin to the Pacific Rim inside TAO Asian Bistro, a 60,000 square-foot, multi-story “Asian City” housing a restaurant, banquet facilities, lounge and nightclub. Lush velvets and silks, waterfalls and century-old woods and stones accentuate the experience, and the restaurant’s signature 20-foot Buddha watches over every corner of the restaurant while floating peacefully above an infinity pool complete with Japanese koi.

Corporate Executive Chef Ralph Scamardella has developed a menu for the 400-seat restaurant by incorporating culinary components from China, Japan and Thailand. Signature dishes include offerings from sea, sky and land including Chilean Sea Bass Satay with Wok Roasted Asparagus, a preparation of Peking Duck that consistently receives accolades, and Kobe Beef Shabu Shabu along with a full sushi bar.

Great bar tender. But the dinning room is no Bouddha Bar.

Environment was very glam and Vegas, which was great. Food was horrible. Ordered the special Chinese New Year lobster noodle dish and it was the toughest lobster I’ve ever had set on top of over-cooked Lipton cup-o-noodles. Way over priced...which I expect in Vegas but I usually come away liking what I over-paid for...not at Tao. Go for the atmosphere, not the food.

My favourite Vegas restaurant. The service is outstanding. The Chilean Sea Bass is excellent. Highly recommend.

Food was great and the service impeccable. Whole drinks are pricey, you are in Vegas. I got Pad Thai and the portion was big enough that my sister and I split it along with goyozas. Ambiance was nice, could be a little dark for some but I enjoyed it. Not too loud, yet lively enough. We had reservations and running late but they were kind to hold our table with a simple phone call. I would eat there again if in town.

We have eaten at Tao several times so this was not our first experience. My daughter was turning 16 and Tao is her favorite restaurant in Las Vegas. We were seated promptly and found our table to be in a section we hadn't been seated before, it was a great spot and easy to take in the Asian-Rim atmosphere. Once seated we were greeted by Danielle our server who was fantastic. She wore an amazing smile that matched her personality and friendliness. You knew from the minute we sat down we were going to have a wonderful experience. Our apps (pot stickers and spring rolls) were delicious and our meals were equally tasty, so much flavor. Danielle topped us off with a huge fortune cookie birthday treat filled with white and chocolate mousse. It was exceptionally good with a beautiful presentation.
