Guests are transported from the City of Sin to the Pacific Rim inside TAO Asian Bistro, a 60,000 square-foot, multi-story “Asian City” housing a restaurant, banquet facilities, lounge and nightclub. Lush velvets and silks, waterfalls and century-old woods and stones accentuate the experience, and the restaurant’s signature 20-foot Buddha watches over every corner of the restaurant while floating peacefully above an infinity pool complete with Japanese koi.

Corporate Executive Chef Ralph Scamardella has developed a menu for the 400-seat restaurant by incorporating culinary components from China, Japan and Thailand. Signature dishes include offerings from sea, sky and land including Chilean Sea Bass Satay with Wok Roasted Asparagus, a preparation of Peking Duck that consistently receives accolades, and Kobe Beef Shabu Shabu along with a full sushi bar.

This is my go to place anytime I’m in Las Vegas. Food was great and our server was tremendous. Went with a business associate that had never been and she explained menu well. Food was great and love the overall atmosphere.

Nice dinner. Be aware of the peeking duck for 2 - the price listed in the menu is per person so it’s $79 for this dish. Menu is confusing and misleading!!

The food was amazing, our server looked like a model, the only thing I would say is as far as the restaurant portion, the music didn't fit the cozy, sophicated ambiance, I would have liked a more mellowed out playlist while eating.

Everything from the drinks to dessert were delicious, but I woke up after dreaming of the lobster wontons in shiitake ginger broth even two days later.

We just arrived in Las Vegas and looked to unwind after traveling in a plane for several hours. Tao was conveniently located in the Venetian, which is a massive complex of restaurants and shops as well as the three hotel buildings and casino. Thankfully we had reservations as this appeared to be a popular destination for dining--especially on a Friday night, since there is a nightclub upstairs and most of the diners seemed to migrate to the club after their meal; you don't want to compete with the MANY bachelorette/bachelor parties that seemed to dominate the Vegas scenes on the weekend! And by dining in the restaurant you have an easier access to the club--a big plus.
Tao is a bigger facility than I was used to with an extended waiting area with large couches and the bar; the dining area was further back with a tall ceiling adorned with Asian tapestry and the lighting was quite subtle. Our server Lars took great care of us as he would swing by our table and keep us informed about our meals. There was quite a bit of foot traffic near our table so we either sat by the rest rooms or nightclub entrance.
Even though we were hungry the food was amazing in flavors and aromas. Among our plates were vegetable fried rice, sauteed cauliflower and a large Tao salad. Everything was cooked to perfection and served at the right temperature.
All in all, an amazing way to start our Vegas weekend!

Service and staff were excellent in helping us through the menu. Pot stickers, Chinese sausage fried rice, miso glazed sea bass and the fortune cookie dessert were all delicious! We will definitely return on our future trips to Vegas. You also get inclusive and priority entrance to the nightclub if you order an entree so that was definitely worth the perk also!

Food was mediocre for the price. We could’ve saved $100 by eating at Panda Express and it probably would’ve been hot. There for our anniversary, no mention of it even with the request made, food was served quickly and barely warm, which means it was pre-made not fresh. Very overpriced for the quality.

Similar to P.F. Chang’s, but larger and more asthetically pleasing. The food is good. Too crowded and loud for a date, but great for groups.

Everything we ordered was fantastic. The yellowtail is unbelievable and the crispy rice dish was perfect both times I’ve eaten here. Loud the second night, but we sat at the sushi bar and had no issues. Giant fortune cookie to celebrate a birthday... the fortunes alone are enough reason to get it. Added bonus is that it’s delicious.

I have found Tao surprising. On one hand it is a well known club, however few people know that the kitchen, run by executive chef Brian Hlee performs its tasks with culinary mastery hidden within this sion of the local club scene. A don’t miss when in Vegas.

Always a wonderful experience. We love both the Las Vegas and New York restaurants. Los Angeles is on our "bucket list". You must have a Tao-tini, best drink.

Everything about the evening was fantastic. Food, service & ambience were all first class & helped make this a very special occasion for my family. One of the best restaurant experiences of my life & that is saying something as I have been fortunate to have travelled widely around the world. Many thanks for a fabulous evening.

We loved the decor and the food equally. The divers sea scallops in red curry were beautifully seared. We ordered the seared tuna appetizer (portion of proceeds went to Autism Speaks) and the tuna was unbelievably fresh and tender. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We loved our experience overall at Tao. Great service, food and ambiance! The Birthday fortune cookie was amazing!!
Only thing that turned me off was the service attendant in the washroom and all her clutter scattered across the bathroom countertop. For such a classy restaurant, the bathroom clutter made it feel a bit cheap.

We made reservations and when we arrived we learned that they had given our table away. We had to wait about 10 minutes for another table to become available. My husband and I didn’t complain and while ordering our food we learned the manager had offered us free drinks. At least he showed an effort to make things right. The food was great and we had an excellent server who we tipped well. I would recommend the restaurant.

The night club was only okay. Small dance area because they’re more worried about making money on bottles. The music was decent. Maybe it’s better when famous artists preform.

Reservered the table for 930 got seated about 10. Waiter rushing us to order. After the 4th visit from the waiter while we were still deciding he seemed irritated. Then another waiter or worker came over and was loud and obnoxious. I told him we were not ready yet. Then when we were finally ready waiters were not to be found. We finally got an order in after 1040. I have frequent visits to Las Vegas and have been here before. I will not return to this restaurant because of this experience.

Great dinner as always. Very nice Birthday dessert. A little bit dark though. Hard to read the menu. May have contributed to not ordering from the small print dessert menu. Otherwise it’s our regular stop every trip.

It's good for any special occasion. You can also go to Night club once after you finish your dinner. We had dinner for our Anniversary and it was good. We loved the fortune cookie as a desert at the end of our dining. It was kind of surprising and taste very good. I would highly recommend.

We were having our very special anniversary dinner. We don't know the cuisine. We ordered the lobster and 2 small plates plus appetizer. Also had two drinks each. The lobster was way too skinny for 2 people. Maybe......we got 2 bites from it. Waiter was just ok. We needed more help with menu. He (and I admit we my husband had asked) told us about HIM). Nice anniversary dessert. So loud. I say again. incredibly stressful. Not for older people.

The food and service were very good, but the noise level was quite high. The area where we sat (we were 3 adult women) had 3 large tables of bridal bachelorette parties of 10-12 girls. I wish we had been seated elsewhere in a more quiet, intimate setting.
