Tao is a vibrant energetic restaurant with a huge variety of food choices, including fish, shell fish, beef, pork, duck and vegetarian. We especially love the option of ordering small plates which allows us to sample many different things. The service is perfectly paced - not too fast or too slow. They also offer a great selection of cocktails and wine. This is on our list of not to be missed restaurants every time we visit Vegas.
Great service, vibes & food!
This was my third time back to Tao; a must-visit when I’m in Vegas! This time we ordered two special sushi rolls which were really good. I also ordered chicken fried rice and it was so delicious. The service was even better than the food. The best part was the dessert they bring out, which is a freshly made, HUGE fortune cookie which has chocolate and white chocolate mousse inside. I’ll definitely be back for a fourth time when I return to Vegas!
Worst experience ever. Host did not care about us. Arrived early but made us wait until the time of reservation to even acknowledge us, not even able to get a drink at the bar when the entire restuarant is empty, not even allowed to sit down in a completely empty lounge. Then in a completely empty restaurant they sat us next to the bathroom. When I objected to the table the host responded "what do you want me to do about it". They obviously have way too much business and don't care about costumer service.
We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and they gave us complimentary champagne and dessert...so nice and amazing food, the music was way too loud, everyone was screaming.
Me encanto la atención y todo lo q comimos
The restaurant was great. The food and service were outstanding.
An experience in dining. We love the sea bass among other great items on the menu. The waiter Jeffrey has been there for 14 years. Great service as well. My favorite place to go in Vegas.
Amazing time at Tao. Great food and service. Energetic vibe. Sea bass is to die for.
Nice sexy place to hang with friends. Then go clubbing after. My ankles and fingers were swollen from all the salt in the food but everything was delicious. The Peking duck could have been crispier but...
The good was delicious but our server was not around much & took forevermore to get our bill & clear the table
The tone for our experience was set when we showed up for our reservation. The man that checked us in told us our table was rebooked 2 hours later. He wanted to make sure we knew this as they were very “busy”. When we asked what would happen if we weren’t ok with this he said they might be able to find a table elsewhere. Maybe not. This restaurant was supposed to be the highlight of our trip and we did not appreciate essentially being told we needed to hurry thru our meal. The food and table service was exceptional but our meal was ruined by the employee that checked us in. It defeats the purpose of eating out when we were made to feel rushed. Won’t go back. Also extremely noisy
Tao is a great place that has slipped and needs to recover its former glory. Deleting the kung pao chicken was a big error. You can still get king pao tofu but you'll have to remember that - it's not on the menu.
If you are in Las Vegas, come to Tao. No questions asked. Food was very good and fresh - not the best Chinese I've had in my life, but definitely top 5 and very memorable. It was very hard to find (it's in the labyrinth that is the Venetian) . Service was excellent. Prices were reasonable for Vegas. Get the pepper appetizer - you will not regret it. Everything was family style which was nice.
Atmospheric restaurant with beautiful decor but restaurant is so loud you can’t have any kind of conversation and it was so dark you couldn’t see your food!!
Not a good experience because we simply couldn’t hear each other!
It is too dark to read menu without flashlight. Too loud for regular conversation. But food is outstanding, service very good. Ambiance beautiful. Just had to remind ourselves we were in Las Vegas with the almost unbearable noise.
Host was rude and we were seated in the bar area. Bartender was the waitress. I had made reservations several days prior to dinner.
Did not expect to be seated in a terrible area. Why weren’t we seated in the main restaurant area. I spent a lot of money.
Quite disappointed and disgusted .
I will never recommend this place to anybody.
You don’t have time to finish your starter that they bring your main course ...
Too much noise
Table in front of the kitchen!
The club was closed !
My favorite restaurant in Vegas
The food was great and the ambiance spectacular. The host working seating and checking in for reservations was disorganized. After checking in and being told to wait in an area they appeared to forget us. Once seated it was a great experience
Service was amazing! Meal was incredible! Can't stop raving about it, will definitely return next time we're in Vegas.
Wonderful experience and food!!!
Outstanding vibe and the food and service was superb!
This restaurant is breathtaking. Came back after 9 years and again it was gorgeous and food is excellent. This time we went with the tasting menu. They brought over many appetizers and main dishes. Peking duck was fantastic as was everything else! The whole party enjoyed the food. The only disappointing thing was that we were seated on the second floor behind a wall near a bar. We found it exceptionally dark that we needed to use the light on out phones. They discovered that a light was out on the ceiling and it could not be fixed during our time there. They tried to add candles for us but it was of very little help due to the size of the table. If you look past that the night was excellent but sadly seating us in darkness was slightly uncomfortable.
First time coming here and the experience was AMAZING just like the food !! 10/10 will recommend. Coming back for sure!
Met friend from Seattle and had an amazing dinner. Our server Jeffrey was exceptional. He had such an amazing attitude. Loved the place, the food and the ambiance.
Great shortrib appetizer. Free entry to club with dinner. I asked about a table for the club and the waitress never got back to me. Roof deck was closed.
Birthday great place
Hello. This was our second time dining at Tao. The first time was wonderful. This time not.
The food was delicious. But Tao advertises as "spiritual dining" and as a "religious experience". There are
statues of boddhisatvas and a large Buddha in the dining room where we sat with many other people.
The ambience lends itself to fine dining and wonderful conversations. Most restaurants have quiet music playing. The evening we dined Tao had a DJ. Playing very very loud music. We had to shout to have a conversation. And there were lots of "What did you say?" because we couldn't hear each other's conversation. At the table across from us people where cupping their hands around their mouths to be heard by their dining partners. It was very unpleasant. We mentioned the noise level to our waiter and he said that the manager likes it like this. The music and the ambience were not a good blend. The music was too cacophonous.
The food was delicious and the ambiance was exciting, and energetic. Perfect.
Visit every time we come to Vegas!!! TJ was great. Attentive without being intrusive. Offered great recommendations and explanations. Tried the filet mignon in ginger scallion broth. Loved the presentation and it was amazing. Will definitely order again.
Great service, fantastic food!
Really cool ambiance with good music
They were busy and we had been sat down for a little over 1.5 before we got our meals. The manager did come to apologize.
My meal was diappoi
I would not recommend the restaurant to a friend as my favorite but if they were already planning on goi would not stop them. I only recommend places I was very happy with. The lobster wonton soup was fabulous!!!! But then the orange chicken came out and it was dry. The drinks good , the service great.. and then the sushi rolls came out... extremely boring with very lit flavor. So take what you may from this review 😊
The setting here was perfect for my husband and I to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. It was a very romantic setting with the dim lights and was fairly quiet. The food was just as delicious. We were even given a complimentary giant fortune cookie as dessert.
Food presentation and taste was wonderful. Sat in a booth which was secluded and quiet.
Fun atmosphere. Food was pretty good. Pretty good selection.
Great restaurant but load and it appears that the squeezed in more tables than the last time I was there
Not much room in the isles and sat too close to other table
