Designed by Rockwell Group, TAO Downtown offers a distinct sense of arrival and discovery and is the first TAO venue where guests descend into a multi-level space. The subterranean restaurant, located in the heart of Chelsea, is intended to look and feel as if it has been there for decades and only unearthed recently to reveal the artifacts within. Upon arrival, guests immediately encounter a long corridor with a dragon scale patterned screen and Chinese calligraphy murals mounted on weathered brick walls.

Fue mi primera experiencia en TAO me fascino la atencion la comoda estuvo divina sobretodo el pekon pato. Los dimsun divinos y los sishi so otneena mejorar un poco esta muy simple . Desserts super espectacular y los cocktail tambien

Absolutely fab! The place is amazing when you walk in! The decor, vibe, music! It’s just fab! Service was unreal- waitress very attentive and the food was the best I’ve had in NY! Thai flavours were amazing!! Definitely a place to visit!

Loved our evening there. Great drinks, food and spectacular table with a view from the top. Our waiter/actor Jeremy was great. We’ll be back.

One of my friends was late but the staff gave us an extended grace period which was nice of them. The food was excellent and overall no complaints about the experience. Highly recommend.
