Just Terrible Food and Service! Will NEVER go back there again!
Mal servicio del mesero
La comida muy buena, pedimos 5 margaritas por $ 80.00 muy caras, el servicio estuvo muy bien y rapido.
It was our first time at Tanuki and my friends and I had an amazing time! The weekend brunch feast is a perfect option to share with friends and the food was incredible. Our servers was also very attentive with our needs. Definitely will be coming back to our new favorite spot!
Food was very good. Happy hour prices were excellent.
Would go back
Our first dining experience at Tanuki was fantastic! There’s wasn’t an item we didn’t love and we had a table of 8 and ordered about half the menu. Our server osha (sorry if I got that wrong) was great and very informative when asking for recommendations on menu selections. Overall a great experience and we look forward to going back!
Cocktails were great. Lychee martini🍸happy hour price.
traditional sushi and some unique twists on menu items. very fresh.
absolutely incredible!! just try their brussel sprouts, the veggie udon and salmon tacos! everything was delicious and we’re already going back less than 24 hrs after going for the first time!
The food was delicious! The kitchen staff was on it - food came out incredibly quickly. And everything was absolutely amazing! If I lived in Miami I would eat here regularly.
Tanuki hit the spot! The scallops with black truffle and the sushi salmon rolls were perfect for a table of hungry girls! Price was not bad at all.Definitely coming back soon.
Very good food. Slow service.
Amazing place!! Highly recommended. Food and ambiance is great.
Food was awesome. We wanted to order more from the happy hour menu. All four of the people at the table were left for 20 minutes with empty cocktails and waters. We also had to dispute items on the check that were never delivered. I feel like since it’s an auto gratuity place the server didn’t really care. I usually tip over 30% when service is good.
Delish food and really creative yummy cocktails. Would definitely recommend
The food was great. The service was really bad. The kitchen was slow due to delivery orders. It was a mess. 45 minutes to get appetizers
I was very excited to try this restaurant, upon coming to the restaurant we were greeted by the host and then seated. Our server was outstanding and even recommended us some clubs to go to as we are from out of town. However, I was very excited to try the food that they had to offer I got the Wagyu Ramen and my boyfriend got the chicken fried rice. To be completely honest the Ramen was very salty to the point where it was hard to enjoy and my boyfriends fried rice was kind of bland. But overall the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and the drinks were decently priced and strong, definitely a place you’d want to check out.
Our waitress Julian was amazing. She was prompt, provided great recommendations and overall made the experience that more enjoyable. Tanuki is definitely a great local restaurant for your sushi needs!
Gustavo is professional, engaging and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go back. Sushi so fresh and nicely presented
Was a great experience. Highly recommend. Service was exceptional.
amazing experience everything was delicious
Excelente servicio de todo el personal y cómoda muy rica
Service was not very good. It was my birthday and there was nothing mentioned about it. Food orders were messed up twice. Good drinks and food was good
The hostess was far more attentive than our server.. wish I would have removed the gratuity from our bill and handed it to her. I had high expectations for the quality of fish that was used but I was disappointed.. this is coming from someone that eats at makoto and zuma 3x a week... The atmosphere is great it’s just lacking all the fundamentals. Needs a better manager.. I wouldn’t give this place a second chance sorry
Was really excited about eating here after reading many reviews seeing the pictures and the ambience and many pictures on Instagram upon arriving we were seated very quickly seating is very tight seems like there is no social distancing at this point but that’s OK took about 17 minutes for our waitress to acknowledges us upon acknowledging us then we proceeded to order drinks as in four out of the eight drinks they had available 4 we’re not available so the drinks that I Kinda was forced to purchase they were very spicy where in the description said nothing about heat or spice.. The menu show no pictures at all hard to pick something because there was so many nice pictures on Instagram so we had to refer back to Instagram and try to pinpoint pictures and menu description food is very petite so order alot if you plan to get full.. it’s kind of crazy where you’re given a sampler of them some with no Estoy sauce no chopsticks no napkins I just think tonight was not their night and they were unorganized I normally never ever write a review but when I spend over $125 and I had to go eat dinner after just having dinner says a lot about the restaurant ending up at the Waldorf for Real drinks topped it off with a few slices of pizza that was are night at Tanuki Miami
Really enjoyable brunch. The food was excellent and the service was great. Definitely be back.
The food was simply amazing and tasted beautifully. The only minor complaint is that the music was a bit too loud and it made it hard to talk. Wonderful experience with the weekend brunch!!
Mother’s Day brunch was a unique experience. 5 stars on all counts! Food, service, ambiance…all spectacular!
Always a good time. From hostess to busser to waiter, everyone is so friendly and attentive. Definitely would recommend a visit.
Great place, amazing food! Good quality. We tried the brunch menu - 100% recommended. Ask for Pedro, great service.
Excellent food ambiance and staff
Excellent service and food.
Alex was an amazing server and made our experience unforgettable! Happy hour and Maki Monday was an amazing deal. I can't wait to come back!
Very good Japanese restaurant.
Food and service excellent.
Good ambience and music.
Looking forward to my second visit.
We got the brunch feast and are so full and happy. You get to try so many things and everything was delicious. Especially loved the salmon truffle ponzu and tuna crispy rice. Grilled salmon and short rib curry entrees did not disappoint. The only problem was I was too full to order other things, so I will have to come back to try their dim sum and the peking duck!
Server was rude. Noise was extremely loud. Like a bar and not a restaurant
Great food, good selection. Happy hour was great for trying lots of different appetizers. Good service
There are a dozen and other options for Japanese dining in the Miami area from very high end to low. Tanuki is in the middle of that pack both in ambience and food. The nigiri wraps are fair but not exceptional and they really could use better gyozas. Putting 6 in a plate per order would also brighten the customer compared to their miserly 4. The salmon entree also was middle of the road but the serving size was very stingy - $29 for a very small portion with no other accoutrements. Overall, overpriced for average Japanese food.
