The food was fantastic. However, it was much noisier than I had expected. From the website and the decor, I expected it to be a quiet, peaceful, kind of meditative place. Boy was I wrong! The bar was hopping! The band, although very good, was very loud! And the restaurant itself was super loud. I took my husband there for his birthday. I was expecting a high class romantic restaurant. But we couldn't even hear each other speak, so he moved across the table to sit next to me instead of across from me. For that reason, I think it's a great restaurant for a big party or casual evening with friends. But it was not the ideal place for a romantic, birthday dinner. Great food and drinks though! And the view of the Marina is very nice. Also, although I had mentioned my husbands birthday when I made the reservation online, the waitress did not acknowledge his birthday in any way. Maybe she didn't get the message. That was fine. But I was surprised by that. Like I said - fantastic food! It's just good to know what you're getting into in terms of the environment and noise level.

Made a reservation a week ahead & asked for a view table . Got there & table was by entrance with NO view , our server hardly paid attention to us, our drinks & food took forever . Waay too loud could hardly hear what my partner was saying right across from eachother.

I grabbed brunch with a friend here last Sunday. This place has amazing views. We were able to grab a table by the windows. We were able to see the marina and water goer go by. Food was good The mimosas were $3 a glass. Not to bad but it adds up. I would definitely eat here again. =D

A friend recommended this restaurant, so my boyfriend and I went for our anniversary. The setting was beautiful and the ambiance was fitting. I suggest going during sunset. Watching the light hit the water was amazing and very romantic.

We ate at Tantalum to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Graduate School. She lives in Long Beach, and had not been here before. Our waiter was excellent, and our table was situated in the back where we had a nice water view. Everyone was very happy with their meals, the wine and specialty drinks were also great! We had a fabulous night!

The view, the decor, all, bring a feeling of eating at a luxury vacation hideaway. The brussel sprouts "tantalizer" was delicious, and the portion more than adequate for 4 people. With bacon-wrapped scallops, pad thai, truffle mac & cheese, and a burger, our meal was well-rounded. For dessert, the Fondue seduction was more than enough, but we added the banana topped brass monkey, which was somewhat of a let down. Overall it was a great experience. The one disappointing spot in the service was that we were celebrating a birthday, and 2 of our party mentioned it to our server upon their arrival, and I believe to the hostess. Throughout dinner and when offering dessert, nothing was mentioned. Even if they did not have a "birthday offering" it would have been nice to say "happy birthday" at least once, but it was not included in the final goodbye. 3 cocktails, 3 appetizers ( one guest likes appetizers as entrees, side salad, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts, the bill was close to $200. Worthy experience.

The ambiance, and views make for a great venue for a date. They do have a great happy hour so the restaurant is lively and live music. The food was tasty. I ordered the fish special of the day which was a yellow tail dish. It was very good. My girlfriend ate the Mahi Mahi. She wasn't crazy about it, but liked it so so. For dessert we shared their version of the Creme Brulee..called the Brass Monkey. It was very good. I would recommend this restaurant for happy hour, live music, and great views.
