High-end Peruvian food that will cost you a bit but is worth the price.
Some food was great - especially everything coming from the sushi bar. Other things were majorly over cooked. Great flavors though. Same with drinks - some good and some not so much. I would go back if a friend wanted to but it wouldn’t be my first pick. Service was fair.
Food is bursting with flavor. Very much enjoyed the food. Must try
Great place. I would definitely return. The service was wonderful. We have a lot of allergies and the waiter was knowledgable and super helpful!!!
Great way to spend my birthday!
Nice place, the food was excellent, the fried banana with the sauce as courtesy was so good!
I’ll come-back by sure
first time visit, the food was great. The main drawback for me was the noise level was to the point we could't hear the waitress and had to resorted to pointing at the menu and hoping .
This is a very nice Peruvian restaurant that provides not only a great meal with many options, but also provides an appreciation of Peruvian food culture. The menu is very accessible for many palates and is very versatile to handle food preferences, party sizes, and the ability to share dishes so each person can get a taste. The Tanta team takes it time to make you feel welcome, explain the menu and provide recommendations to guide your dinner journey.
Very good Peruvian food in a modern setting . It is a little.expensive for me
But my Peruvian wife....born and raised in Peru and a good cook ... treats this place like the Temple of Peruvian food . Can't beat that ...you will not be disappointed ...Just bring the Credit card
Wonderful food, cocktails and wine but terrible acoustics. The restaurant was extremely loud and we could not hear our colleagues across table.
A friend suggested this Peruvian place and we got reservations same week to check out this place. It was my first time trying out Peruvian and we all loved everything we did order — we loved fish/sea food entrees.
Unique menu, superb food
Bit loud/lively - so not ideal for a quiet dinner conversation and not a bargain price - but a total winner !!
Ceviche was great. Salmon and clam entree was nicely cooked - rice underneath was just ok. Roasted chicken was very moist but a little bland. Large dinner portions.
Every dish was fantastic. We ordered as shared plates and every single one was fresh, delicious and varied. We were all raving about how great the food was. Highly recommend!
The menu is excellent, diverse and and exciting. The atmosphere is vibrant.
Excellent food and cocktails, but definitely on the pricier side. Portions aren't huge - even for the large plates - but still good for sharing if you order several items.
Fantastic service and food. Loved the Tanta cebiche, the pork fried rice, the beef tenderloin stir fry and the lime mousse dessert the most. Server was great with suggestions.
Although we had to dine quickly, they were very accommodating when our flight arrived late. Very distinctive. Lives up to the hype!
Not as good as in the past - menu seems to have changed
Fabulous meal. Great cocktails.
The ribs, cerviche and octopus was delicious. We could and and should have skipper dessert. Will be back for more.
Excellent Peruvian food, with much attention to detail and to authenticity. We loved it!
First time eating here. The environment was fun and unique. Our server was very attentive, informative and knowledgeable. The food was awesome! We had ceviche and the empanada appetizer then split the lamb shank. I would have liked to try to many more! The plates are sharable but I think the only way to sample more would be to go with a larger group. We were really full! But everything was delicious and beautifully plated!
We had a great time here. It was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised by the creative twists on the menu. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. The Plancha Marina and the teraditas cremoso stood out.
Lovely brunch! NOT the usual boring old bacon and eggs. The micro marigolds decorating dessert is a beautiful and delicious touch. It has a refreshing mint taste.
Very good. A little bit expensive but very good ceviche
This is by far the best Peruvian food restaurant. The drinks are typical of Peru and they have also added other drinks that complement the menu. The food is also great and the brunch gives you a great way to taste local peruvian tastes.
Very busy and very noisy on Friday night 8.30pm onwards. Moderately busy on Sunday 2pm onwards for late brunch. Food is excellent and exciting!
We had dinner here on a Thursday night and the place was packed. Our server was attentive and made lots of great recommendations from the cocktails - El Chingon to the entrees - the short rib and pork shoulder dishes were amazing.
Creative Peruvian. Lots of interesting dishes. Like the various fish preparations. Excellent plaintains.
Tanta is not to be missed. Peruvian cuisine is inspired by China, Japan, Spain, Italy and maybe even part of Africa...I think? Anyway, it's incredibly unique and delicious. The atmosphere is fun, the servers are friendly & knowledgeable, and the drinks are great too!
Great service at busy place some items on the menu were outstanding some average would return and might be because did not know what to order.
Excellent service and food. The staff was thoughtful and surprised us with a piece of cake for our anniversary :)
the food and cocktails were amazing! we had a great experience.
The food and service were both great! It was a busy weekend evening and in spite of making reservations ahead of time we got a table close to the window, so it took a little bit to warm up and settle in.
Must try’s - the Peruvian fruit punch (spiked or plain)... and their fried rice that came with a duck special. Also the lime based desert was sooo delicious!!!
I’ve been at Tanta with a friend of mine and then I returned with my husband. The food is excellent and the staff is very helpful and kind.
Excellent food, cool place.
Will go back for sure.
Fun sharing the many excellent plates. Excellent and creative dishes. Favorites tiradito nikie and broccoli pachikay
FANTASTIC. ALL AROUND. FOOD, SERVICE, DRINKS WERE ALL TOP-NOTCH.
Went to Tanta for an early meal before heading to the blackhawks game. The service was outstanding, and it was a bit quiet as expected for a 5:45 dinner. The plantain chips with a Peruvian sauce were incredible (complimentary). We ordered the civiche sampler which I highly recommend. The flavor was perfect, mixing spice, sweetness and excellent fresh fish. For main courses we decided to each get a few things and split. I highly recommend the empanadas specifically the steak one.
Really good food!! We were seated 30 min after our reservation time on a Monday night which was a little excessive but other than that good overall
Let me start by saying, WOW! As soon as you walk in the restaurant you’re greeted by a very friendly cute young host, who sits us immediately. Our server was another cute young woman, who said her name was Jamie. She took her time explaining the menu to us, and recommended amazing food!! The drinks were just so delicious. I am pleased to say that my guest and I were beyond happy to have come to Tanta. The service from start to end was perfect. It was honestly a great Sunday Dinner at Tanta.
