The Infatuation

High-end Peruvian food that will cost you a bit but is worth the price.

Ratings 8.0-8.5:The best way to think about restaurants in the low to mid 8′s is that these are the places you would absolutely go back to, anytime. These restaurants are ones that you want to bring a friend to, just so they can also experience the duck carnitas, or burger, or whatever dish the place is known for.

Food and service excellent. It's a loud place so hard to have a good conversation but if you understand that, you choose your date accordingly

The food was amazing! Our waiter was nice, helpful and took really great care of us..plus, everyone is super friendly - and funny! We went out to celebrate my bday, so they also brought me a piece of cake with this amazing Lucuma ice cream that we couldn’t get enough of lol totally recommended!

Very good Peruvian food. Definitely get the ceviche and the chicken. Great, creative cocktails, drink service a little slow. Bar side of the restaurant good decor, other side not so much. $200 including two ceviche, chicken for 2, 4 cocktails and tip felt about right. Will definitely go back.

My kids gave my wife and I a gift certificate, but we were very interested in trying Peruvian cuisine aft visiting a Peruvian restaurant in Portland, OR a couple of years ago. Also, a friend of ours runs a charitable education facility for poor children in Peru.

Prices seemed a little on the high side, but since we had seafood, I can understand that.
All of the food was delicious. We tried the cebiche sampler. I then ordered octopus and my wife had scallops. The food was very tasty and enjoyable. The only issue was that I asked the waitress for a drink that was not sweet. She pointed to a drink on the menu that had no added sugar, but when the drink came it was very sweet. I didn't ruin the meal, but I have to watch my sugar. We definitely plan to go back and order some of the non seafood items, just to see what they are like.

The food was so flavorful! I admit I came just because the picture of the skirt steak topped with a quail egg looked so amazing. Well it was — and so was everything else we ordered. Knowledgeable server helped us decide among many great options.

Some food was great - especially everything coming from the sushi bar. Other things were majorly over cooked. Great flavors though. Same with drinks - some good and some not so much. I would go back if a friend wanted to but it wouldn’t be my first pick. Service was fair.

first time visit, the food was great. The main drawback for me was the noise level was to the point we could't hear the waitress and had to resorted to pointing at the menu and hoping .

This is a very nice Peruvian restaurant that provides not only a great meal with many options, but also provides an appreciation of Peruvian food culture. The menu is very accessible for many palates and is very versatile to handle food preferences, party sizes, and the ability to share dishes so each person can get a taste. The Tanta team takes it time to make you feel welcome, explain the menu and provide recommendations to guide your dinner journey.

But my Peruvian wife....born and raised in Peru and a good cook ... treats this place like the Temple of Peruvian food . Can't beat that ...you will not be disappointed ...Just bring the Credit card

A friend suggested this Peruvian place and we got reservations same week to check out this place. It was my first time trying out Peruvian and we all loved everything we did order — we loved fish/sea food entrees.

Unique menu, superb food
Bit loud/lively - so not ideal for a quiet dinner conversation and not a bargain price - but a total winner !!

Ceviche was great. Salmon and clam entree was nicely cooked - rice underneath was just ok. Roasted chicken was very moist but a little bland. Large dinner portions.

Excellent food and cocktails, but definitely on the pricier side. Portions aren't huge - even for the large plates - but still good for sharing if you order several items.

First time eating here. The environment was fun and unique. Our server was very attentive, informative and knowledgeable. The food was awesome! We had ceviche and the empanada appetizer then split the lamb shank. I would have liked to try to many more! The plates are sharable but I think the only way to sample more would be to go with a larger group. We were really full! But everything was delicious and beautifully plated!

This is by far the best Peruvian food restaurant. The drinks are typical of Peru and they have also added other drinks that complement the menu. The food is also great and the brunch gives you a great way to taste local peruvian tastes.

Tanta is not to be missed. Peruvian cuisine is inspired by China, Japan, Spain, Italy and maybe even part of Africa...I think? Anyway, it's incredibly unique and delicious. The atmosphere is fun, the servers are friendly & knowledgeable, and the drinks are great too!
