Interesting place, the music doesn’t fit the scene. The menu is limited and niche. The food was mediocre. Dim Sum were great! Server was a cool chick but, unfortunately, not overly attentive.
Amazing food and staff! Great atmosphere for a friend dinner or date night!
We had two sweet waitresses and they went above and beyond serving us! So friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere of the place was also so nice!
The ambiance and the food was exceptional. We met the best server Muggs/ Megs, it’s a must that request her they will know who you’re talking about...She was funny and very attentive. The manager and the hostess all stopped by our table.
The food was FULL OF FLAVOR! You can’t go wrong with Tansuo!!
This place was just wonderful. From the service to the food, everything was well done. I had called beforehand to modify the reservation and they got back with me quickly, everyone we dealt with from the hostess to our waitress was so kind and accommodating. They loved on my two year old and made everything enjoyable. The food? So, so good. Definitely get the Kung Pao Cauliflower. We will definitely be back ❤️
Great service, even better food. One of our favorite places in Nashville.
Some of the best chinese I’ve ever had! The environment is quiet and so cool. My new favorite spot!
It was ok but I was a little disappointed. We’ve been to Tansou several times and have always loved it. This time it could have been a little better had the food actually been hot.
I had the roasted fish and bok choy. The fish was delicious but when it came it was warm. The bowl it was served in was hot but the entree was basically tepid. The bok choy side was essentially room temp. I did send the bok choy back and they refired it quickly.
My dining partner got the General Tsos chicken and Brussels. Both delish but again both tepid.
We both had the Live Lave Love cocktail and it was fantastic.
I believe our order sat for a while before being brought out to us which made it cool off. We will go back, as we hope this instance was just a fluke.
NOTE to Tansou—-you need to make opentable update your profile about parking. OT says valet is available for $10 however we had to park in the lot next to Mockingbird. After tax, it was $24 for 4 hours (we were only there for just over an hour...). We asked the hostess and she said you haven’t had valet since you reopened.
This is the best place to go! Also do the cooking class when it's available again!
I have eaten here 5 or 6 times. These were all before covid 19. I visited the Friday before valentines 2021, but the experience was not the amazing and delicious one I had come to expect. Perhaps it was just a bad night, but the service was horrible, the prices increased, my drink order was incorrect twice, the food took a royal year to be made. All in all, I was rather disappointed. I will give them another shot, as they have been great 80% of the time, but the prices need to reflect the experience.
Great decor and music . Very good service but the food was terrible ( worst pad Thai ever !!! ) and just ok basil lo mein . Very expensive for what you get .
I had the best birthday experience here. Wish I could relive the it all every weekend!
The lobster my wife ordered was not as described by our waiter and was cooked very poorly. While the dim sum was excellent, our entrees were less than average.
We LOVE Tansuo! It was our first time eating out in a while and that was our first choice. Our server, Mug, was lovely and the food was great as always.
Uniquely flavorful in every way
The food was great but we had a killer waitress with an amazing hairstyle! Definitely made the experience better!
Outstanding food, drinks, and atmosphere! A go-to for a special occasion or a night night out in Nashville.
So happy that the restaurant is back open . Always one of my favorites. Food is amazing, staff is wonderful. Lobster fried rice is awesome. Great evening.
I’m am afraid to say our dining experience at Tansuo last night was less than desirable. I’m not sure if they have changed ownership but the ambience, presentation, taste and quality of food has remarkably declined since I was there before Covid hit. The chicken dishes tasted funny, very bland and were not particularly fresh. The staff was not as polished/professional as I remember, much more casual and Ho-hum seeming. The Tansuo in the past years, 2017-2019 was much more elegant, dining level at a much higher quality, there were unique dishes with remarkable flavors and presentation. Nothing like that last night. Sadly, we will not be returning there.
Food was great, family style!
Joe was great!!
Food was bland and uninspired. Menu was limited. Tried a number of items and experience was the same with each dish.
Dinner for two and $150 be a wonderful experience. Was fast from it. Won't be going back and suggest others look elsewhere
I was one of your best customers before covid. But last night turnt out to be quite embarrassing for us as we took business partners out for dinner and the food was very disappointing. An uncut prime rib in a restaurant with chopsticks for $48? The person that came up with that should be fired. I even asked the server whether that was sharable when we ordered, which the waitress assured. Anyhow, I sincerely hope the previous menu returns or else we won’t be coming back after last night’s experience.
Our experience was remarkable from start to finish. The service was impeccable, the menu was exquisite, and the flavors blew us away! We will be back frequently!
Loved it! I have been to Tansuo a number of times and it has never disappointed.
We had a nice relaxing early New Year’s Eve dinner with family .
We shared our choices of the cauliflower, fish and NY strip and added Brussels sprouts, basil noodles and potstickers. Food was delicious , ambiance perfect and a wonderful way to say goodbye to 2020 and hello to a New Year !
Glad this place is back open because the food is amazing. Love the concepts and the service. This is a must eat
We have dined at Tansuo before and like the restaurant. The Peking Duck which we have previously enjoyed was not available. It was replaced by Cantonese Duck. The duck was significantly over cooked. The legs and wings were inedible. The breast meat was tough and rubbery. Additionally, we ordered General Tso Chicken. The chicken was over cooked and tasted like it had been cooked previously and left out. It did have a good flavor, but we have had much better chicken at Tansuo in the past. Management did remove the two items from the bill and comped us one desert, which was nice. However, this was our Christmas Eve dinner and we expected a wonderful meal. The meal did not live up to the standard we had come to expect from Tansuo.
Merry Christmas
My favorite Nashville restaurant!!
So glad Tansuo is back open for dine in! There's been a few changes to the menu like the General Tso Chicken is cut in smaller pieces but overall feels like a bigger serving.
Great experience as always!
Without a doubt, Tansuo is my favorite hidden gem in Nashville! Everything from the amazing wine/tea list, rotating menu of dim sum and shareables, cool ambiance, and top notch service makes this place a home run for any occasion. I’ve never ordered a dish I didn’t like at Tansuo, each is better than the last! Do yourself a favor and try the Shrimp Rangoon and General Tso Chicken.
Not a good experience to say the least. Service was spotty and food was not worth the trip. Prime rib was lackluster had to send back and recook. General Taos was dry. Not worth the money spent!
We should have known to order 2 Dim Sum choices at first, then after enjoying them (hot and fresh), we could have ordered the next 2, so that they wouldn't all arrive at the same time, and some get cool - which is what happened. The tastes were all very good, but the rushed feeling detracted somewhat.
The food was very hit or miss but great service.
Awesome service, food and environment. It was our first time here, but we’ll be back.
Amazing food. Great service and moderately priced. Would go again quickly.
The Dan Dan noodles were dry and the shrimp fried rice was way over cooked. The apps were amazing. The service was amazing.
Food a little pricey. Menu is limited. BUt overall quite good.
The Tansuo team created a great experience for our visit. Good was amazing, drinks were great and our waiter was fantastic.
