Don’t miss the dim sum brunch!
The concept is great. Also, the decor and the tables were terrific. Unfortunately the food was very so so. The food at the authentic dim sum places are far better and tastier even though they are serving hundreds of diners. I expected the food to better executed. Frankly nothing looked that good or tasted that good. Service was nice and friendly but slow and unskilled. Would not return.
Fantastic meal, service and ambiance. Try the duck!
Fantastic waiter - William from the moment we sat down was incredibly attentive and helped make the meal very special.
Valentines Day Dinner. Nice music/ambiance. Good food
We had a wonderful evening - the food was amazing, from the appetizers (eggplant stuffed with shrimp- creamy and flavorful) to the main dishes ( Peking duck with both bao buns and pancakes) and General Tso’s addictive crunchy and pungent flavors. I LOVE the poached pears so ending with my favorite dessert is always the best. Their cocktails and teas add to the experience as well.
Our waiter watched us carefully and timed the courses to our eating and we never felt like we were hurried to had to wait to long. I also love the decor and we were seated in an upholstered bench which is so comfortable.
Great Valentines evening.
It was great!!
It was delicious! The decor is very nice and the service was great.
Good food and service!
Went for lunch. This hidden gem has some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in Nashville. Hot chicken potstickers were fantastic, as were the steamed pork baos. The late night noodles and General Tso’s chicken were also very good. Try the ginger citrus tea. A little on the pricey side but food quality was superb. Highly recommend and will definitely go back. Don’t let all the construction and road closures nearby deter you. Worth the effort.
We came back to Tansuo because our first visit late last year was so good. Unfortunately, the second time was a huge disappointment. The restaurant is lovely - well fitted out and creates the right ambiance. The attendant who welcomed us was also good - efficient and just the right level of chatty. The rest of the service was slow (our visit was on a quiet Sunday night so they weren't busy) and the food was over-cooked and uninteresting. We had the pork belly rice and the pork belly was burnt and dry. We also had the green beans which were basically green beans thrown in a bowl with some pork on top, instead of the way they are meant to be cooked - and were cooked the last time we were there. The chicken dish we had was very bland, but that could have just been a poor menu choice on our part. They did remove the cost of the pork belly from our bill, which showed they knew how to handle complaints well, so I give them points for that. Unfortunately it's not enough to bring us back.
The food was delicious as always. The entertainment was a lot of fun. We enjoy the Ariel artists as well as the lion dancers. Always have a great time when we go there.
We have been going to Tansuo since we discovered it early last year. We absolutely love the food so we are frequent visitors. The staff always remembers us and makes us feel welcome. Tonight, the manager greeted us, thanked us for our patronage and rewarded us with a more than generous gift card. We were so delighted, but would frequent Tansuo under any circumstances. I can’t say enough good things about this unique and charming restaurant.
Tansuo never disappoints. It’s fine sinning, but in an atmosphere that is relaxed and encourages lingering. Always great service and the food is outstanding. One of our favorites!!
Everything about Tansuo was great - the food, service, drinks, atmosphere, value!
Food was just okay. Definitely, not worth the price tag.
Great experience. Wonderful food and service!
The Food was great, but I felt the value for the brunch was off. Portion sizes were surprisingly small, and I left the place still hungry after already paying for $25 worth of food.
Might give this place another go for Dinner, but I cannot afford to pay for such small portions for brunch.
Top 5 of Nashville. Love this restaurant from food to service to ambiance. MUST GO!!
Great restaurant! The food is amazing and the atmosphere has a very cool vibe!!!
Great place for special occasions. LOVED the Peking Duck. Be sure to order ahead of time. Well worth it
Still our favorite place to grab a great meal in a great atmosphere. After several visits, the quality and service remains outstanding.
Always great food/HH.
So disappointing. Server was disengaged and inattentive. Food quality used to be excellent. Dan Dan noodles were close to inedible. Won’t be back, as much as I’d like to be. Gave it a second chance and still faltered.
Went to Tansuo for a birthday celebration for my mother and myself. Our reservation was at 11:30. At 11:15, we modified it to 11:45 bc we weren’t going to make it on time. The restaurant was very empty, so even without a reservation, I don’t think we would have had a problem getting a table. We got a call at 11:40 checking to see if we were coming to our 11:30 res -that had been modified and by 11:44, we were in the door on time. Later I noticed that I had been emailed as a no show. Slightly annoying bc it counted against my open table account when we were there, and on time. In short, food was great, a little too fast to ding people’s records.
Excellent choice if you enjoy upscale Asian food. Small, but diverse menu selection featuring a variety of delicious appetizers, tasty Egg Drop Soup, and the best stuffed Egg Plant with Shrimp.
Don't go looking for Chow Mein or Spare Ribs. Tansuo is far beyond traditional Chinese cuisine.
Great spot for larger groups! The staff was very accommodating, especially of my friend who is a vegan.
Waaaay too loud for an enjoyable dinner. The disco balls with flashing lights were over the top (would have been great for the after party dancing). May be a great restaurant for millennials but not for this baby boomer.
This was my second time to Tansuo and it did not disappoint. The food is delicious and I love the decor and vibe in the restaurant.
Server kept forgetting about us, we were seated underneath a makeshift floor that sounded like someone was stomping the whole time. The food was cold, the espresso was cold. No dessert menu. Overall bad experience
Friend suggested Tansuo and we were not disappointed. Contemporary Chinese easily describes the menu.
So much flavor if I could id eat here 3 times a week! And maybe one day I will!
Thank You Tansuo’s for being amazing 😉
Great food and ambiance
Very nice décor and service. Food is also delicious and plentiful. I will come back for the Dimsum.
Overall great experience! Staff was very attentive. We called ahead to do Peking Duck and it was ready for us. Sauces were tasty. Duck was delicious!
Shared plates reasonable and reasonably priced. Dim Sum subpar on all levels. Lamb was tasty, bao was boring, flavors were heavily sweetened, brussel sprouts taste like McDonald bbq sauce. Ordered a few things that never even made it out...
I love this locally owned restaurant… They hire some of the most amazing, creative people in Nashville.... and trust in the young up in comers who just need a chance. The staff are clearly so happy and love working for this Nashville family.
Exceptional dim sum brunch.
