The service and food were perfect, and I just love the ambience here. We love that there is a separate vegetarian menu and would highly recommend this to everyone!
A very unique blend of upscale Asian quisine. Great ingridients, perfectly prepared. I especially enjoyed their take on General Tso’s chicken.
Loved the food. Portions on the tasting menu were small for the price, but we tried almost everything they had so can’t complain too much about the price. If you order from the dinner menu...the portions are amazing. Chicken comes in large, well-cooked portions and the fried rice is incredible. The dumplings were really well-cooked (perhaps a bit too soft, as the bottoms fell out of them but hey...what are forks for?) The cocktails were great, too. The bartender was amazing and attentive. The shots of straight liquor are well priced for a higher-end establishment and the beer is perfect. It’s a great spot for a rare date or anniversary. I’ll definitely be back.
Second time there, first time amazing service, this time really bad. Drinks forgotten, very long wait time for food, all but forgot our table, or too busy to be attentive.
We ate there for our anniversary and it was delicious!! The short rib, okra, and crab and shrimp wontons were so good! Loved the atmosphere of beats and eats with the music.
Great Atmosphere. Food was very disappointing. The chicken we ordered was NOT good...Way too sweet and acidic. I won't be wasting my time with this place anymore.
Restaurant was understaffed. Bartender was our server at a regular table. Could tell he was weeded. Service was very slow.
The food sort of an eclectic Cantonese American twist which was great. Everything we tried was very good and the service matched the food. From entering to leaving a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend them.
We tried almost every appetizer and three entrees. Everything was INSANELY good. Our server highly recommended the cauliflower, and we took a leap of faith on it. We did NOT regret it. I would’ve never ordered it on my own so I’m so glad he told us to get it! One of the best overall meals I’ve ever had.
Great service, food on point outside of the pork belly. Had to much salt on it
I took my with to Tansuo specifically for the Peking duck. It wasn’t something she’s ever had so I was ecstatic when I saw that Tansuo offers this dish. Our server was fantastic and we loved our meal. I wish the skin was a little crispier but the flavor of the duck, the sides (shisito peppers and okra), and the dumplings (duck confit and lamb) more than made up for the “soft” skin. Overall it was a great way for us to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We will definitely be back to the restaurant.
Quint was an amazing server. I dined with my husband, our son, and one of our closest friends for our annual holiday dinner. I ordered the Peking Duck ahead of time, (you have to). Quint arrived at our table and told us that he is normally the bartender but a server called out so he was our guy. SO THANKFUL THAT THE SERVER CALLED OUT! Quint's knowledge of the menu was great but his knowledge of the wine, spirits, and cocktail list fully enhanced our experience. It also didn't hurt that Quint is from Alabama and his grandfather played for Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. As a proud graduate of the THE University of Alabama, I was completely sold.
The Peking Duck is not to be missed. It is presented fully cooked with head and beak. If you are vegetarian or vegan, please look away. It was then whisked back to the kitchen to be cut and re-presented with crepes, bao, cilantro, cucumber, green onions, and dipping sauce. It easily serves four but we also ordered the chicken breast and okra, after sharing three appetizers: lamb dumplings, shrimp stuffed eggplant, and golden sesame eggs, all divine. Tansuo is not cheap. It is also not ridiculously expensive for the quality and quantity of food as well as the great service.
Roll Tide, Quint, and thank you so much.
We were really looking forward to this dinner since it was dim sum Monday. Most of the items were exceptional but some had obviously been sitting on the cart for too long and were dry around the edges. We were also surprised that there wasn't any sauce to dip items in which would have been much better. I would not suggest the lamb meatball as it was very dry.
It is a great location.
Food is really good.
Service was fast and really good!
Tansuo is one of our favorite restaurants - However the music was way too loud and inappropriate during our recent dinner. Should have quiet ambient and appropriate music, not streaming pop at a loud level
WOW!! I have been to 3 of the 4 restaurants Maneet has here in Nashville. Marsala House has been at the top of my fave list since it opened. Mockingbird is also awesome. Tansua blew me away. The service was top notch and the food was amazing. Their creative cocktails would make it worth the trip alone, but the food is the star here. Another MUST do foodie spot in Nashville.
We had a delightful evening and delicious meal atTansuo.
Fun sitting around the table with old college friends , sharing dishes and stories . Looking forward to a return visit .
Food was delicious and different from standard Asian fare. Dim Sum was delicious and they even had gluten free Dim Sum. Great atmosphere. Terrific service.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit here. The food was wonderful and the portion sizes were generous. We actually were late because of a wreck on the interstate, and the staff was so gracious in holding our table and in welcoming us when we finally arrived. Our server was excellent in explaining dishes and checked on us often. We will be back.
We had the best experience and the food was AMAZING! My new favorite place for sure!
We had a very nice time at Tansuo. I didn't know what to expect, as it was our first time there, but overall, we left full and enjoyed the experience. My favorite dish was the Dan Dan Noodles. They were excellent. We will definitely be back and are tempted to try their brunch.
This was our first time to visit Tansuo! We loved it; drinks were great, food was delicious, and the vibe was great! We will definitely go back.
This is the second time I've been to Tansuo. The cauliflower is NOT TO BE MISSED, even if you don't like cauliflower! The meals are very shareable, and it's fun to order multiple items and pass around the table. The cocktails are fun and interesting. We had one of the bartenders doing double-duty as our waiter, and he did us right. This is definitely more casual environment, but with high-quality marks on the food. The kitchen was really fast with our meal, too. Excellent experience. We'll be back.
The beginning of the meal went well, but as it continued, the service became worse and worse—slow and inattentive. My husband ordered the Akashi White Oak and was served the Akashi Single Barrel, which is twice as expensive, as our bill showed. We were also charged an autogratuity on top of the meal and the taxes. It’s unusual for two people to be autograted, so we didn’t even notice it until we left the restaurant. One of the dishes was inedible, and we were charged anyway. The ambience was nice, though. Overall, I would strongly recommend that you choose a different restaurant. Nashville has many excellent restaurants that hit the trifecta: excellent food, ambiance, and service. Tansuo does not.
Great thanksgiving dinner!
We like the atmosphere, the seating, and the menu. The family-style service is very appropriate to the cuisine. The service was terrific, likely due in part to the quieter Sunday night crowd and the later hour.
Went for a birthday celebration and our waitress Allison was fabulous! She steered us in to perfect choices!
We tried almost everything and nothing disappointed!
Loved the spiced pear cocktail, lobster stuffed shrimp, the short ribs, the Brussels sprouts . Desserts were pretty good.
Great atmosphere and attention to details!
Gorgeous place, amazing service, and some of the best asian food ive ever had. They also take very good care of people with food allergies.
Amazing atmosphere and the food was delicious. I would definitely come back for more.
My husband and I dine at Tansuo at least once or twice every 3-4 weeks. We always take our out-of-town guests there for dinner. We have tried most items on the menu and everything is so delicious. Tim the manager is very accommodating and attentive. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable when asked about food or drinks, and the ambience is wonderful. We just love the place!
The evening was pleasant, the food delicious and our server was very nice and knowledgeable. All in all it was a great dinner.
Had the Peking Duck.....Fantastic! It was even better the night!!
We had such a great 7-year anniversary dinner here. The dumplings, general tso's, dan dan noodles, and pork belly were our favorites. We could come here on a budget or we can spend extra like we did, and it would be a great experience either way.
Food is excellent, but service was really bad. We ordered drinks as soon as we sat down, and we waited over 30 minutes for them. Appetizers came before the drinks did. That was a problem all evening. We were there over 2 hours for what should have been a one hour meal. Food is really good though, so we will go back. The other couple with us said they would not go back because of the slow service.
This was the third time I’ve been to Tansuo and I loved it each time. Unique food and environment. I highly recommend.
Ask for Joel!! He is so amazing and always takes care of us!
Our party of four ate at Tansuo Nov 10, 2018. Starters and veggie items were interesting and tasty. Pork shank was tender and flavorful. Other entrées, including General Tsao's chicken and red snapper, were unsatisfactory and difficult to eat -- could not finish them. Good service, upbeat atmosphere, clean/modern decor, but $200 for four meals that weren't pleasing overall was disappointing. Will not return.
Always one of my favorite restaurants. The food is amazing. The wait staff is always super friendly. The place has a great vibe. Just an overall great restaurant.
Delicious small plates and entrees. Good sized portions, and everything tasted fantastic.
