Tansuo was awesome! The food is delicious and the portions are definitely large enough to share. Our favorite part of Tansuo though is the staff. Everyone was kind and friendly. We especially loved our convo with the manager and of course, the talented bartender Josh. We can’t wait to return.
This is a must go to restaurant in Nashville. The food was great.
Delicious meal - excellent service. Shrimp rangoon and sichuan chicken dumplings were a fantastic start to the meal. We also shared the taiwanese seared ahi and 3 cup noodles. Would order all options again. The mocktails were also complex and refreshing. Will return in the future!
Overpriced, needs more Asian flavors for the noodles
We had a great evening at Tansou! The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions that we asked for. The food was awesome!!
The staff was caring and responsive to my food allergy. Will definitely be eating dinner there more!
We were there on Sunday evening and it was very quite and definitely not busy. Ambiance was very nice, service was good. Food was at best mediocre. Lobster fried rice was lovely to look at, huge serving, yet the lobster was overcooked and dry. General Tso chicken was very good. Shrimp Rangoon was just okay. Sichuan chicken dumplings were not good at all. The Lychee chocolate tart was beautiful, but sadly was not fresh. It was dry snd tasteless. We were so excited to eat here, yet were very disappointed.
Paige, our server, was amazing and made truly great recommendations.
A Nashville must try! The food is well prepared and flavored, generous servings, and ambience you simply must experience!
The staffs are nice and atmosphere also good. But the foods taste is not. Here is Asian fusion restaurant. That meaning is taste is not like original taste. So, the restaurant suits to special social not for eating.
Food was bad. Portions are half of what they used to be just a year ago. Staff doesn’t even come by to attend to you. They just put a water pitcher on your table and leave.
Best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I was blown away by the food and the ambience.
No reservations available on line other than late night. We couldn’t understand why that was because when we arrived at 6pm (1 reservation became available) the restaurant was more than half empty and never became full.
The dim sum options were very tasty. Drinks were also really good. The entrees were not worth the price. The lemongrass noodles with shrimp and scallops was very salty. The scallops were covered in what looked and tasted like everything bagel seasoning, taking away from the delicate taste of the dish. The general tso chicken was good.
Will return, but just for drinks and dim sum, if we can get a reservation.
Celebrated our granddaughter's 14th birthday. She loved it as did the family. Our waitress was wonderful and was very engaging.
Food and service were fantastic as always! The Kung Pao cauliflower and pork dumplings were our favorite. And the Brussel sprouts, and the tuna - ok, everything was great!
Parking is a bear, as is the case with most of Nashville. The lot next door was $46! But we lucked out and found street parking for free. Might want to Uber or see if they’re doing valet.
It took a solid 10-15 minutes to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant when I had a reservation. We were sat in a shoebox room secluded from the entire restaurant that was so dark it was hard to see. The drinks and food were mediocre - we both didn’t feel good after our meals once we were home. The fish we had didn’t taste fresh.
The service was alright - our waitress was very stressed and doing her best amidst other issues going on like the kitchen being out of things or taking a long time.
Based on this experience, I would not go back.
One of Nashville's very best! Everything about Tansuo is top notch - the mix of traditional favorites and new tastes on the menu, the preparation of the food, the service, and the atmosphere.
This is a beautiful restaurant and I’m glad we found it. The chili oil dumplings were the highlight! The menu is a shortened version due to all the shut downs and staffing hardships, but the staff was sweet and helpful. This has a great ambiance and would be a great date place.
Over all this is a nice restaurant. The food could be a little better for the price charged.
Amazing food, really cool atmosphere.
Obviously there are new owners. We were beyond disappointed. It has gone frim a lovely Asian dining experience, with fabulous food, to a bar atmosphere with blaring music with mediocre food you could find in any run-of-the-mill Asian restaurant. We were beyond disappointed. We will not go back.
The food was excellent and the waitress was super attentive. The only “negative” is that it was freezing cold in the restaurant, LoL.
I hate that we waited so long to dine at Tansuo. The food and staff were excellent. Definitely will be dining at Tansuo again, to try something new. Two thumbs up!
One of my favorites in Nashville. The entire staff is lovely and my meal and cocktail were delicious as usual! I got the live, lave, love to drink, the shrimp stuffed crab rangoons and the crab cake entree!
Not as good as her other restaurants but still great food
Tansuo's food used to be so good...unique...different. But the other night it was ho-hum and unexciting. They also took the Peking duck off the menu, which is why I wanted to go there in the first place.
I really wanted to eat at Maneet Chauhan’s restaurant since we watch her on Chopped as a judge and I was visiting Nashville. The scallops had grit in them and the fried rice with the dish was disappointing and greasy! ☹️☹️☹️ We were very disappointed.
The ambiance and service was nice but the food was not good and over priced
This is my favorite restaurant downtown, no question. Delicious every time.
We were seated at a table that had sauce and also left over fried rice or something...notified manager and she said she would get it cleaned right away...after our drinks and appetizer was served, still no help with the table. So my wife wiped of with an anti bacterial wipe! Then I told manger to come and see what we cleaned and she complained that she told the server...”who dropped the ball” sorry that is unacceptable in post covid times...the manager should have followed up asap. The food was okay, large portions and the General Tso’s was good but lacked imagination, appetizer dumplings were okay but just tasted clunky and like cook is trying to figure out how to make the dish. I had high expectations and have wanted to try Tansuo for a year. Not anymore. Too bad. Server was efficient and personable. Manager is responsible for execution!
Great food and service! Chloe our server was amazing! She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious! Our hostess was super sweet too. One of our fav spots. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful food, (especially the vegan dumplings), welcoming friendly staff and cool vibe!
Joseph our waiter created an entree especially for me. Thank you for an amazing experience.
The food at Tansuo was amazing!! We had the General Tso chicken and the seared scallops, they were both amazing cook perfectly!
Our only compliant would be the service, I understand being under staffed after Covid but we waited almost an hour for our food to come out. The server we didn't see him much because he had tables all over the restaurant. If the service was better it would have been the perfect night out.
The dumplings were excellent! General Tso’s chicken was very good as was the bok choi. The pad Thai was good but not really pad Thai, not authentic. And the lobster fried rice was bland and could use more lobster. Love the prompt and super friendly service! The restaurant was super fun with fantastic music! We’d come back for the dishes we loved.
It was our groups first time . We all loved it. When you walk in the ambiance is relaxing and unique, the staff is super friendly....I will say they could have used help at the bar it’s a little slow. Then we ordered everything and it was all delicious! Thanks for a great evening!
Great food, great service. Highly recommend.
- Nashville native.
The food was excellent as well as the service. Servers could use a little training on the wine list, but overall a great experience.
Great food and excellent service!
All of Chauhan’s restaurants are top notch. We love every chance we get to eat out here.
Tansuo continues to provide stellar food and service for Nashville! The Kung Pao Cauliflower and the Brussels Sprouts are must haves. We had the best time!
