The food is amazing. We took the recommendation of our server and they were all excellent. The hot chili dumplings, the short ribs, & the three cup chicken. We also really loved the kimchi and the orka. The white steamed rice was also delicious. Unlike many newer restaurants that have large open space and a cacophony of noise, I love the intimate booths at Tansuo that allow for groups to be close and to hear each other. Very cool vibe.
The food was outstanding! We ordered hot chicken potstickers, firecracker wontons, the half duck portion, & general tso’s chicken - EVERYTHING was on point! On top of the great food and great service this restaurant layout is so well done! Must try for date night / outing with a large group!
This was my second time dining at Tansuo and both visits were outstanding. All of Maneet's restaurants are fantastic. The food at Tansuo is all so delicious and well done and there really is something for everyone. It is a perfect place to order a bunch of dishes for the table to share. The servings are very large so perfect for sharing. The decor is so fun, service is great and such a great vibe. Highly recommend.
One of the entrees that we thought we’d ordered was never put through. This was fine, as we had plenty of food.
This is my favorite Nashville restaurant. The service is always excellent and the food is wonderful.
The family style meals are great for large groups and allows everyone to try everything.
Great food, great service.
Had the Sunday brunch for the first time. We had things from the glass cart, steam cart and the entree menu. Everything was devious @
Very different restaurant than what we were used to, but the atmosphere was great and the food was exceptional!
Great food. Liked everything they brought out to the table. The noise level was not conducive to an intimate/date night setting and we were seated in the bar area for our reservation so the service and noise level might be different in another area of the restaurant. We’ll definitely be back though.
We had a great dinner and service. We opted for the family style for a set price per person. We were a party of 7 women. It was delicious but an abundance of food. Way more than we could ever eat. The dessert was underwhelming but besides that a great night out.
The waiter went out of his way to make our birthday celebration special!
The music got a bit loud at times and didn’t really fit the atmosphere. The food was good, though. Service was also good, but not remarkable. Still, overall it would be a good place for a special occasion.
The waiter gave us great suggestions. Separate vegan menu made it easy to order
Wonderful service and even better food! We had the general tso chicken, Dan Dan noodles and ginger beans. All the mains come with jasmine rice which is wonderful and the chicken was probably the most delicious chicken I’ve ever had! We also ended up getting the cotton cheesecake which was a lighter cake like a sponge cake. Overall great dining and we will be back!
We reviewed the menu before we came as we had 90 minutes to be in and out (that should be plenty, but I’m an always be prepared type person) as soon as the waitress came to introduce herself we said we had a timeline and ordered appetizers and cocktails before even reviewing the menu. 20 minutes later drinks came, we ordered entrees, 10 minutes later appetizers came. 25 minutes after that our entrees finally arrived. 55 minutes of waiting! We immediately asked for our check & boxes.
Went for NYE, food was outstanding, service was great too
Delicious food, good service and beautiful decor. Highly recommend the short ribs main course.
Loved it like usual!
The service was terrible. We barely saw our waiter and probably waited a good 20 minutes before anyone came over to ask if we wanted another drink or take our plates.
Best Peking Duck! Give them advanced notice and you won’t regret it!
Dinner on Dec 24 was delicious. The service was excellent, and the presentation of menu selections was artful. The only thing I’d say is that a table seated nearby had children. They were having a noisy chopstick tapping contest or practicing for their next drum lesson....either way, it might be advisable to offer chopsticks by request. And more peaceful. See you soon for new year duck!
General Tso’s was outstanding as usual.
Nice to finally have dim sum in Nashville! We enjoyed our whole experience- the food, the service, the ambiance!! Can’t wait to go back.
Great night out with amazing food!
Service was so friendly and helpful. The food was awesome. We weren’t that hungry so the 2 of us ended up just having 4 small plates and that was perfect. We loved the green beans. So glad we decided to go here.
Absolutely love this place. If you go early enough to beat the dinner crowds (we aim for 5ish), the noise level is fine. Food and drinks are outstanding, and we love the semi-private booths.
I had the most wonderful experience here! Everything from the valet, service, and food was impeccable. I got the kung pao cauliflower (I'm a vegetarian) and it was one of the best dishes I have ever had! I cant wait to come back - thank you for giving me and my sister such a great dining experience Tansuo!
Wok & Wonton Wednesday...food is amazing, great spice and flavor combinations. John was very detailed with descriptions and drinks.
We love tansuo. Wish this place was more busy + patronized! We usually go early, and the clientele picks up ~7, but it's SUCH GOOD FOOD and SUCH A GOOD BARGAIN and SUCH FABULOUS atmosphere, I wish it were better received. There's so little good Chinese/Cantonese in town, even with all the new restaurants. Maneet has it down! Wok Wednesdays are a great deal and we love the Moko Black sauvignon blanc for 50% off. Service is always good (and they're starting to recognize us as regulars). My *only* complaint would be the banquet seating material is WORN OUT -- rips and tears on the seating doesn't convey well to diners that I'd recommend to dine here...
Thanksgiving dumplings were out of control!! And the regular food was great too. Beautiful restaurant, attentive service, great food. Will be back soon!
Vegetarian spring rolls (about $8?) are small but tasty. Excellent flounder (28, MP) it's just that there were a couple of delays and it was hard to get waiter's attention on aisle of 2nd floor since it is only used for passing through. Music was a bit loud, and not very engaging. I should have done valet parking with a $5 tip; it was $7 for 2 hours of self-parking in a lot, about a block away.
Wonderful food. Upper bar area is amazing.
Most definitely try the pork belly fried rice! It was amazing!
Fun night celebrating a birthday/Thanksgiving. Cool vibe and good food. Definitely will be going back.
The host/hostess were very awkward and tried sitting us at the bar even though we made a reservation, which was weird considering it was a Monday night and the restaurant had like 15 open tables. Then the hostess forgot which direction the table was so we went back and forth in the front of the restaurant 3 times. For the first 15 minutes, we had 2 waiters that were both trying to get our drink order and water. After that, I think they figured it out and we only had one waiter who did a good job. The food and cocktails were amazing!
Excellent in every aspect every single time I go there. Food, service, Ambience, everything excellent.
We loved the whole experience. I would recommend Tansuo for any small or large group celebration.
The chili oil dumplings were our favorite!
I was super disappointed in our experience, not due to Bartending or Wait staff, more the hostess and food. We walked in about 4:50 as we had a 5 pm reservation. Not realizing they didn't open until 5 or we would have made 5:30 reservations. We like to have cocktails before dinner to relax. The hostess said they were still closed? Why are your doors open then? It was an odd exchange and granted she was very young, but still she said she couldn't help us for another ten minutes? My husband, who never stops at Go or collects his $200, made a dash for the bar the second we arrived. He didn't realize they weren't open yet...oops! The bartender was super sweet and said he'd be happy to serve us as long as we didn't mind that he was still setting up? Heck no! You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours and that's how you treat a customer! We sat for a bit and finished our drinks prior to heading back to the hostess to be seated. We were given a booth, thank you! We ordered a great bottle of wine and some apps. The hot chili dumplings were super gummy, barely filled and luke warm. The shishito peppers were more bonito flakes then peppers and a very small amount of peppers at that. The chicken wings were very tasty but small wings. My husband was still hungry so ordered the late night noodles. Now at least that was a good portion size! He said they honestly reminded him of Pei Wei though. Our waiter was very nice, John I believe, and his style matched our dining speed, so that worked out in our favor. We didn't think the food was very good overall and will probably stick to the Chef's other two spots moving forward.
Everything was wonderful! Food, wine, service! Not much more to say. ☺️
