Be-Hive Takeover was amazing!
Food was outstanding. Service was not so great. Waiter was gone for long periods. Perhaps he was new and just didn't know what he was doing.
Noise level was much better than Mockingbird. Decor is beautiful. Food was delish!
Absolutely wonderful date experience. Would highly recommend. We'll definitely be going back
The Cheng Duck Dumpling appetizer was very spicy, after our server assured us that it was not (the general manager later insisted on not charging us for this dish) The Vegetable Spring Rolls were very good and the Thanksgiving Turkey Dumplings were especially tasty. The Peking Duck was a bit on the dry side, but the Shanghai Red Pork Shank was outstanding.
Our server was very nice, but disappeared for long periods of time without checking to see how we were doing.
The ambiance was attractive with comfortable booths and very high ceilings. The restaurant was not full, so the noise level was moderate,, and we could easily converse without shouting. While the experience was a bit uneven, we would go back, as there were definitely more positives than negatives
Delicious food and good service!
Fun to have a dim sum in Nashville!!
Fantastic brunch. Food is delicious. Can not wait to return.
Perfect. One of Nashville's hidden gems. Best General Tso's ever and incredible Dim Sum.
Highly recommend the Japanese inspired cheesecake with Matcha dust.
Great food. Wonderful atmosphere.
It was amazingly delicious with a fantastic modern Asian atmosphere. We look forward to many more evenings at Tansuo!!!
Really liked the lanterns and decor. Food was great and we had a great experience. Our server Johnathan (I believe) was awesome. He Made great recommendations and was very attentive. The new 3 cup chicken dish was delicious. Short ribs and Dan Dan noodle were great also.
Wonderful food, perfect service and fabulous atmosphere....what more could you ask for?
Always a pleasure to eat there!!
Made reservation based on Nashville friend's recommendation. Took clients to dinner during a conference. Waitress was nice/polite, but service was poor. 15+ minutes to place 1st drink order, then server nearly opened the wrong bottle of wine. After pouring the correct bottle and realizing that one bottle wasn't enough for 7 guests, she left only to return in 10 minutes to inform us that they didn't have any more of that particular wine. No bigh deal...so we moved on to cocktails. Once again, after ordering, waitress returned to inform us that 2 of the liquors were also out. When being served dinner, wait staff omitted one of the entrees and then served two incorrect drink orders. The food was good, but certainly nothing special. Our group wasn't picky and certainly hungry/thirsty and easy to please.....and the restaurant was half full at most, so no excuse for slow service and multiple order mistakes. Overall experience average at best.
Staff was beyond exceptional. Informative and so helpful. Joe and Summer!
We wanted to take out of town friends to great spot to give them a good Nashville experience. This was my husband and my second time. All of us were blown away by the food, drinks, and environment:)
New restaurant where the night club, Anthem, used to be. It was a hangout spot of mine so coming to eat a nice dinner here was very different. The food was amazing! So much so that we came back for my son’s 11th birthday per his request and he’s usually a pretty picky eater. The general Tao’s chicken wasn’t too spicy and that’s his go-to now. Also the family style servings are perfect for sharing. Definitely coming back again.
Kristen was an excellent server! We enjoyed everything and will definitely be back. Thank you!
We had a great time at Tansuo ! What a nice change from the typical brunch menu . Our table of 6 shared dim sum that included various dumplings, spring rolls and firecracker wontons.
Some other favorites were the shishito peppers, Kung Pao cauliflower and the dry fry Sichuan beef . Everything was delicious and the atmosphere inviting and attractive . I will take contemporary Chinese cuisine any day over the usual omelets, crepes or quiche !
My dad was in town. Wanted to take him somewhere we love.
We had a wonderful time. Food was timed appropriately and everything was delicious. Service was great. No complaints- which is unusual for a larger group. We had the duck (which requires 48 hours in advance notice/order), and it was everything we wanted it to be!
I have two major criticisms of Tansuo. The first is the music. We live in the Music Capital, right? So why was the music (a) lousy, over-played, rock, and (b) way too loud?? I started wishing that I had loaded my jazz asion/fusion playlist to have handed over to the management. They need better music. The second is the service. We ordered a salad, the Peking Duck, and the Fish of the Day. The salad was enormous, and while the dressing was tasty, there was far too much lettuce and not enough beans, radish, etc. Then we waited... and finally our duck, the fish, two sides and another entree came out. Weird! we explained that we had not ordered all the food delivered, and they insisted that we keep the green bean side (which did not hold a candle to the flavors of the duck and fish). All in all a good meal, just needs better management, I think.
We have been to Chauhan next door and wanted to try Tansuo for quite awhile. We loved the food and service. We were in early but the restaurant was still very lively without a full house. We can't wait to go back and try something new. The Dim Sum and cocktails were excellent.
The decor is elegant and not over stated. Our waiter was helpful and knowledgeable. The food was spectacular. I am obsessed with the miso buttermilk sauce that came with the wings. If you go, get the wings! The short ribs were so moist and tasty. We will definitely go back and take some friends.
We had a party of 6 and everything about this place was amazing! Good food, good atmosphere, great service. The food was so delicious. Our waitress was so on top of us we always had water and new drinks ready.
From the moment we walked in we knew we found a gem. The greeting was like we were family. Once we sat down the service (Ian & Tim) was awesome. The menu was incredible and found too many entres to decide from so started with apps. We chose 3 because we couldn’t decide and....why not! After apps we had 3 main entres because we couldn’t decide and ...why not. Did I mention the ambience and music was exceptional? After apps and dinner we decided on dessert even though we were very content. Again couldn’t decide so had 2! The vibe was great from start so when you find a gem, invest in it. They deserve it! I will go back every time I’m in Nashville. Highly recommended
The small plates and cocktails were all amazing! We split the General Sao’s chicken and waited almost an hour with empty drinks and no food...Finally the M.O.D. Swung by and checked on us. The food came shortly after and he comped us a drink which was very nice
The chicken was crunchy and fried to an almost hard, inedible point. We will go back and try other things or just get apps and drinks but it was definitely a little disappointing considering how much we love Maneet’s other spots!
Overall everyone was very friendly and I understand that things just happen, but it was not the level we have come to expect at her other restaurants.
Great food! Mediocre service (waiter forgot to put in to kitchen one of our dishes). Prices a little on the steep side. Overall an enjoyable place!
OUTSTANDING FOOD and SERVICE! AWESOME AMBIENCE loved the bottomless mimosa’s!! Beautiful restaurant with booths some long tables and mezzanine level for more intimate seating. Dark and broody with stunning coloured silk lanterns suspended from ceiling. favourite dishes were friend chicken and waffles - divine Asian twist and soooo delicious! The golden egg appetiser tofu and mushroom in a soft bun with toasted sesame seeds small but super! The chilli oil dumplings - ordered extras! Loved the fluffy Asian buns with lamb, pork and chicken, fried rice beautifully balanced with great flavours fresh veges - generous portions.
Marked as one of my favourite restaurants in nashville! Second time visit as great as our first. This is as good as what you get in Hong Kong or Singapore!
Only negative is the music was totally mismatched on our second visit. Hip hop isn’t the kinda food ya eat too it’s what ya rap to. Save the Thump thump thump for the discos.
Tansuo has become one of our most favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and the service is outstanding.
Our Server John was exceptional! Knowledgeable and very attentive. Food was as always consistently good
Tansuo's my favorite spot in Nashville, this visit was no exception. Tansuo's dim sum is literally perfect. I'd eat it every day if I could. Also, let me talk about the service at Tansuo - I've had the same server twice in very different contexts. Out with my best girlfriends, he took the time to talk through the menu with us, made great recommendations [both food & bar] based on our tastes, shared his enthusiasm for the food, and made our night a lot of fun with his high energy and easy-going personality. This time I was with my husband celebrating our anniversary and John (which I'm pretty sure is his name but if not, I'm SO SORRY!) made himself scarce, but was always stopping by right when we needed something. He wasn't intrusive, but was personable and kind and still fun. My husband and I have 10+ years in the service industry between us, this guy is a freakin pro. Somebody give that guy a raise. And give me more duck dumplings. We love Tansuo!
Great happy hour at the bar, awesome dim sum
Great service in a great space. Loved the ambiance.
Great menu, great food, service was fantastic.
First off been here many times and have always had great food and service. I’m a big fan of the Morph restaurants. This time the experience left a lot to be desired. Food took 45 minutes to get out, there were a number of plates going to the wrong tables, server spilled half of our carafe of sake (still charged us for a full order without replacing), and never got the proper utensils to scoop out the food/broth. Server disappeared for extended periods of time and acted like nothing was wrong. No apology was issued, and no ownership of the situation was taken. There were clearly issues going on in the kitchen and out on the floor. Server was new which I get, but anyone can own an issue and apologize. Hopefully we get a better draw next time.
HI, I hate to be negative. It is not in my nature. However I want to be truthful and considering my husband and I went to Tansuo for the very first time with great anticipation to celebrate our 30th anniversary, we were terribly disappointed. We arrived there new to the place. We had a very minimal greeting. It was extremely noisy however they seated us in a booth not too far from the bar area. A young man came over to say he was the new bartender and the regular bartender would be our server. That young man was very sweet but said he didn't know enough about the menu yet. So the regular bartender came over, said they were short of servers and he would be our waiter but he was also training the new bartender. He looked extremely stressed and you could tell he didn't have time for our questions and was quite unfriendly. My husband finally went over to speak to him at the bar and told him it was our 30th anniversary and he wanted to be special. The manager I believe witnessed that conversation. My husband was very polite and tactful so everyone took a new attitude. They sent over 2 glasses of champagne which was very nice. However, the mood had been set and it never felt a whole lot better. The menu was sort of explained to us. I ordered something which was not what I really enjoy because it wasn't explained to me. We loved our salads and the appetizers were good, not excellent but good. My wine was great but we didn't really enjoy our meals. That bartender did try his best but it was obvious things weren't normal. We could never get comfortable and were quite happy to finally leave. We still tipped 20% but we would not want to go back. Such a shame because we had so looked forward to it.
great as always. we shall be back
frank and party
