First time there, it is a beautiful restaurant. The food looked amazing AND tasted amazing. Great service!! Definitely will come back.
I love the food, the atmosphere was great but the service is horrible!! It takes them way too long to get to you. Plain and simple.
A truly beautiful restaurant with an incredible view. The food is delicious and there were plenty of options to accommodate a number of dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten free, etc.). The wait staff was attentive and the wine was particularly good. I'd highly recommend it for a special occasion.
It started with a highly responsive manager (Spencer). I changed my reservation several times and he was very pleasant and understanding. The wait staff was really energetic and knowledgeable about the menu options. Thanks.
We enjoyed a night at Tanner's for dinner on the patio. Celebrated a pre-Mother's Day dinner. Food selection including specials were great, drinks from the bar delicious. Joanna was great help, with very attentive service and great recommendations.
Needs a bigger menu. Food was just okay. Nice view though.. nice staff.
Great food and service. Our table reservation was not timely so they went above and beyond to make us feel important. We were very impressed. Overall an awesome experience.
Salmon was not as good as usual.
We both took advantage of the May Special -- Burger and Brew. Great food and service. And we were impressed by the welcoming manner of their GM - Spencer. Will definitely return again soon!!
Amazing food, great service. If it was any different I would have said otherwise!
It was for my husband’s birthday but they forgot to bring him a dessert with candle
I had the pork chop, delicious.
Great view too
Excited to try this place mostly for the location. Had a reservation outside seating for 4, when taken to our table we asked for a table closer to the glass due to wind, host said No that they had this table set for us, surprising that he said no because we were the 3rd table to be occupied out of a dozen empty tables & then to find out our table was not cleaned, yuck. We couldn't get anyone to wait on us, all to busy moving tables & chairs around even the host who sat us. After 10 minutes we asked someone who was our sever? So very disappointed, we almost left even after we received cocktails and finally got them to wipe down the table. Our waitress needs to figure out how to keep her hair out of her face/eyes, a huge turn off when serving food for me.
Our food was very good, but the service is sooo bad.
I felt the experience resembled a cafeteria atmosphere-food was expensive and not worth it.I have eaten there over3 x-now its the last. The upstairs and the atmosphere and ambiance are exactly opposite and would recommend that area to anyone!
The restaurant is great place to meet. Our server was great... but drinks took 20 minutes. Also, our vegetable sides came out before our entrees. Timing of food seemed to be off. We would have stayed longer/ordered more drinks if they came out in a timely matter. Food was ok but nothing special. Went upstairs for drinks after... service was not impressive. Staff seems to have no sense of urgency and not friendly.
So thought food would be better than it was. Ordered seafood platter and the amount was barely enough for two . And food was just ok. Place is location wise beautiful but too noisy.
Birthday dinner with family. Great location on patio with a beautiful sunset.
We had the calamari appetizer, the burger and Halibut special.
Everything was delicious!
I inadvertently left my cell phone on the table and returned
An hour later and it was at the front desk. Sweet!
It was terrible! We did arrive at ~9:30pm on a Friday night...
Waiting for water for > 10 minutes when it was my only drink. Steak knife came after food was delivered. A woman was screaming, literally screaming for quite awhile and no one from management told her to chill. One couple from her 10-party group left because they were embarrassed. Her husband/boyfriend tried to calm her down and she took a swing at him. I had the seafood platter ($35) and the local fish was tough; sent it back once and it was still not edible... raw and tough!
4th time dining here ,and I will be back. My Mom was a guest at Pasea this time, usually it is me.
Tanners’ food and service were very good, and we had a good table for viewing the sunset over the water. The noise level inside the restaurant was very high, however. We will sit outside next time.
Easter Brunch menu, only a few choices, but what we ordered was tasty and nice size portions! Our waitress was very attentive . Overall a pleasant experience.
Good service, but brunch menu has very limited options.
Our server was very pleasant but inexperienced. Cocktails took close to 15 minutes to arrive. I ordered the grilled salad and requested no peanuts and dressing on the side. I never received the dressing and unfortunately an abundance of peanuts. Thank god for epi pens !
The short ribs were tasty but barely warm and the salmon was just ok
The restaurant decor was really nice and the rooftop bar looks wonderful. They definitely need to up their game on service but more importantly the food.
Hotel stay was a wonderful experience. The spa and ambiance is spectacular. The restaurant is not the shining star. Restaurant is Loud and the menu was ok. The service was slow even though there was many servers. They were bumped my into each other and seemed to me they were inefficient making them ineffective. The team seemed pleasant and friendly but they need some training especially in their wine department. The presentation was not performed correctly and the wine listed was not available. Did I meantion the restaurant was loud? Beautiful establishment though and I believe their team wants to do well.
Wonderful service; no rush to order since not all members of our party of four arrived at the same time. Great view of the pier and PCH on the outside patio. Food arrived promptly and was as expected but not spectacular.
The service was so slow due to lack of wait staff. The food was really not good,we wanted to love it but it just wasn’t good. The clam appetizer was so spicy and sandy it was inedible .
The best part of the meal was the bread and butter.
Enjoyed the restraunt week special. Only thing Im a Minnesota non spicey gal. Even asked if my selections were spicy. Waitress said cooks said non spicey. My lips were numb. I ate the part not soaking in spicey liquid. It was one small dish but it gave me heartburn for 4 hours before i lost the whole meal. I dont do spicey. Waitress did ask if i want to exchange,,but it was too late. Other food was great. Atmospere relaxing
Everyone enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.
Great food, nice presentation.
We had a large group for a business dinner and ordered a bunch of shared appetizers. They brought dinner before they had cleared away the entire table of plates and platters and wanted us to move our appetizers for them to place our entrees down. Table should have been cleared and reset prior to entrees.
Food was unappetizing. Many fried items that we did not know were fried. Their seafood platter which was shrimp, oysters, clams and fish was bizarre and we did not like it. THe shrimp was raw and still in the shell (so it was chewy and did not peel out of shell) and the oysters were so cooked they were teeny shriveled up bits.
Would never return. Its disappointing since the building is so cute.
Excellent food and service. Only negative was child's chicken strips were pressed chicken. I'd rather have had fewer pieces and fresh breast meat.
Yummy and great service!
Was disappointed because the rooftop bar was closed for renovation. Food was just ok. Too expensive.
Was there the previous night and was great minus the noise .... tonight the service was not great .... waited 20 minutes for drinks that were sitting at bar fir 15 minutes... food not as good ... but still pretty good ... all in all the only bad experience here .... have had reservations 4 times
On a beautiful day, Tanner's was the perfect spot for breakfast/brunch! The breakfast menu is stopped serving at 10:30am on weekends (which I think is much better than their Brunch menu) so I wish they served breakfast longer. Luckily we got there at 10:30 and ordered right away! Our server was very friendly, although the back server who brought our dishes out had a horrible attitude! Not going to knock off stars for one person, but I think the restaurant should know about how rude they were. Wish I got a name but she had short hair. Tanner's is very dog friendly which I love! I usually pick brunch places solely because it's dog friendly. Would definitely go back!
The food was great. The servers are a little slow. Looking at the ocean was awesome.
Valentine’s Day for my guy and I - we loved it! A go to for us always
Though our Open Table reservation had a glitch of the following day vs. Valentine's, we stayed and had dinner anyway. It was $75 per person which was steep but the food was delicious and the location fabulous. I wouldn't pay that much for dinner & dessert normally but since we were already there and had no other reservations for that night we stayed. Our waitress was the best! We loved that there was an outdoor seating option (heat lamps work great).
We had a perfect Valentine's dinner! Great sunset views, food and service! Thank you Tanner's!
