The service was so slow due to lack of wait staff. The food was really not good,we wanted to love it but it just wasn’t good. The clam appetizer was so spicy and sandy it was inedible .
The best part of the meal was the bread and butter.
Enjoyed the restraunt week special. Only thing Im a Minnesota non spicey gal. Even asked if my selections were spicy. Waitress said cooks said non spicey. My lips were numb. I ate the part not soaking in spicey liquid. It was one small dish but it gave me heartburn for 4 hours before i lost the whole meal. I dont do spicey. Waitress did ask if i want to exchange,,but it was too late. Other food was great. Atmospere relaxing
Everyone enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.
Great food, nice presentation.
We had a large group for a business dinner and ordered a bunch of shared appetizers. They brought dinner before they had cleared away the entire table of plates and platters and wanted us to move our appetizers for them to place our entrees down. Table should have been cleared and reset prior to entrees.
Food was unappetizing. Many fried items that we did not know were fried. Their seafood platter which was shrimp, oysters, clams and fish was bizarre and we did not like it. THe shrimp was raw and still in the shell (so it was chewy and did not peel out of shell) and the oysters were so cooked they were teeny shriveled up bits.
Would never return. Its disappointing since the building is so cute.
Excellent food and service. Only negative was child's chicken strips were pressed chicken. I'd rather have had fewer pieces and fresh breast meat.
Yummy and great service!
Was disappointed because the rooftop bar was closed for renovation. Food was just ok. Too expensive.
Was there the previous night and was great minus the noise .... tonight the service was not great .... waited 20 minutes for drinks that were sitting at bar fir 15 minutes... food not as good ... but still pretty good ... all in all the only bad experience here .... have had reservations 4 times
On a beautiful day, Tanner's was the perfect spot for breakfast/brunch! The breakfast menu is stopped serving at 10:30am on weekends (which I think is much better than their Brunch menu) so I wish they served breakfast longer. Luckily we got there at 10:30 and ordered right away! Our server was very friendly, although the back server who brought our dishes out had a horrible attitude! Not going to knock off stars for one person, but I think the restaurant should know about how rude they were. Wish I got a name but she had short hair. Tanner's is very dog friendly which I love! I usually pick brunch places solely because it's dog friendly. Would definitely go back!
Valentine’s Day for my guy and I - we loved it! A go to for us always
Though our Open Table reservation had a glitch of the following day vs. Valentine's, we stayed and had dinner anyway. It was $75 per person which was steep but the food was delicious and the location fabulous. I wouldn't pay that much for dinner & dessert normally but since we were already there and had no other reservations for that night we stayed. Our waitress was the best! We loved that there was an outdoor seating option (heat lamps work great).
We had a perfect Valentine's dinner! Great sunset views, food and service! Thank you Tanner's!
We ate at Tanner's 4 times over the last weekend. The foos was inventive & delicious. Our server Maya was outstanding.
Very nice & quiet outside as the bustle of indoors and the Tree Top Lounge could be heard murmuring in the background. Service was great, food was excellent, drinks were great - not a real fan of their corkage program.
Cute setting. My first time at Pasea and I liked it. Parking situation is confusing. We gave up and parked next door at Pacific City. Food is very good. Everyone liked what they got.
Great food, atmosphere and service! Love the changing menu and great vibe!
Celebrated a birthday. Staff was friendly, helpful, and professional.
Service is consistently excellent at Tanner’s! I’ve eaten here several times with large groups and I’ve eaten here with as few as 1 other person and I’m always impressed with how friendly and accommodating the staff has been. Food quality is high and the views of the Pacific can’t be beat!
Service and ambiance is good, food is just ok. However the calamari appetizer is awesome. The entrees weren't anything special. All said it's a nice place and worth a visit if you're at the hotel or local, but there are better options if you're making a trip to the area.
The open air rooftop bar is a great option for a drink and apps and would recommend.
Food good. Not a big selection to choose from. Waiter was nice but forgetful. Had to remind him twice to get items. Nice outdoor dining. Not a lot of people for evening dining.
We decided to go to Tanners for Dinner and everything was going fine until we decided to go upstairs for a couple of drinks in the lounge area. The service is awful at the lounge and most out of the staff are so rude. It seems there is no control and the staff do as they wish! There were broken glass at the sitting area and when you ask someone to clean i, they would look at it and walk away and none wanted to come and clean it. So in a case like this, I don’t recommend this place and I will never go there again and will live the place to their staff to enjoy!
Great food, very attentive service, and killer sunset views right across the street from the beach. And be sure to check out the hanging swings at the back of the patio. Very romantic...at least it was for my last date! :)
Great ambiance and the service is amazing. The location is perfect as well
We came on New Year’s Eve for dinner with a group of friends. There was a 4-course prix-fixe meal for $85 a person, which we thought was not a bad deal at first. However, because it was NYE, they charged us $25 for parking regardless of Tanner’s validation.
In addition, dinner was so measly, we left still feeling hungry and ordered pizza. The first “course” was one green bean and 4 leaves of a brusselsprout. Other courses were about 3-4 bites. The only course that was a normal size was dessert. It was ridiculously expensive! After having one drink each, we spent $250 per couple. What a rip off. We will never return for a meal here.
I went to Tanners for New Years Eve. The dinner was phenomenal. The taste of every dish was incredible. I gave 3 starts for Value because the dishes were tiny. I understand this was fine dining but still, I would have liked to have a little more food on my plate. Regardless, I will be back to try your regular menu. Thanks for the great service and a wonderful experience.
We ate Christmas breakfast here because the montage was booked and Pelican Hill only offered an expensive brunch. The food was very tasty but it took awhile to get. My food was not as hot as I would have liked and the bacon was cold. But my company loved their food.
The portions were extremely small. The $35 short rib was to be served with mashed potatoes. There was a vague smear of mashed potatoes under the miniscule size short rib. Our table ordered several short ribs so we were very disappointed. The flavor of the short rib was mediocre at best. The $12 pear salad was bland and also very small. The lobster Mac n cheese was bland, the price of $12 would have been fine for the portion had there been good flavor.
Tanner's offers the most innovative and addictive salsas.
Very pricey drinks and food.
We were the only people in the restaurant. The food was very good. The server was good. The place has the feel that they’re brand new and just getting started.
No shade on the patio. Service slow. Drinks expensive. Food was good but some too salty. Bit sub par
The food was not good. After the food was on the table, we pretty much never saw the waiter again. Great location.
We stayed at the hotel and ate dinner at the restaurant. The food was very good. We shared the ahi poke stack, which was very good, although for me the rice and guacamole ratio to the ahi was a little high. Then we shared the rack of ribs which was delicious, loved it. AFterward we sat at the bar and enjoyed terrific cocktails and shared the Spanish Churro desert. The churro's were light and delicious. Atmosphere was more casual than we expected, a little loud at times. Very friendly staff. Would love to see management bring the service quality up a step or two. I would eat there again.
The calamari was amazing but the rest of the food was just ok. Service was below average. Our server only had 2
Tables and we barely saw him.
This was my first time trying this place & it's so cute. We made it to breakfast/brunch which was awesome. The service from when we entered, to our waitress & delivery of our meal was amazing. The people are delightful & I plan on coming again. Thank you
The food was really good, the service was poor at best.
The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food was delicious and the view was exceptional. Will definitely be going back!
Excellent service and ambience! Celebrated a birthday, enjoying great food and drinks with good friends! Can’t say enough about Ruffy the hotel manager as he took great care to ensure that our special occasion was really special by sitting us at an ocean-view table and getting the party started with a mimosa toast! He even gave the birthday girl a happy birthday thank you note — very sweet and memorable! We’ll be back for more good times!
