our brunch was not very good. toast was cold, refills of coffee were hard to get and food just okay for the money
Steady Main Line Clientel. We go frequently, love Happy Hour at the bar. The mushroom soup and the short ribs are amazing. Mushroom is the best soup on the Main Line.
This is our second visit to Tango Bistro and this one was as excellent as the first one.
The prices are very reasonable, the food excellent and the desserts even better.
Very highly recommended
enjoyable dinner with friends. good service & great food
We have been there many times before, and have always enjoyed it in the past
We requested a table in front, but were told none were available, even though we saw open tables
It took over 35 minutes, to take our order. We asked for desert menu and it did’t arrive till we finished our coffee, so we said forget it.
It was really disappointing, not in any hurry to go back(if we go back)
Excellent food and the waitress was pleasant - made very good for recommendations.
New management or chef is leading this restaurant to its demise. Others provide better food and service for the same amount.
Broccoli was a little tough, knives were hard to cut with. Excellent service by Amy! Will be back for sure.
Disappointing. The bottom crust of my quiche was so tough that even my table knife could not cut it. I ended up scooping out the filling with my fork. Filling was glutinous and lacking in taste. Soup of the day (chicken corn chowder) was tasty enough but cold. Only the dressing on the green salad was decidedly good. My lunch companion, however, found her pesto chicken sandwich very nice. Since lighting for interior tables was dim, we asked to sit by a window. On a dreary day, however, it was still dark. As the restaurant filled up for lunch, the noise level rose markedly. There are better places to meet a friend for lunch.
Food was good, but lacked some flavor. Service was a little slow, we waited for about 10-15 mins before anyone came over to offer water or say hello. Would come back, but not top of my list.
Excellent service and excellent food - Tango always delivers high quality service with a great menu and a wonderful atmosphere for catching up with friends, holding a business luncheon or celebrating special days. I love it there!
Various friends and I go often to Tango, particularly pre- or post-movies. We like that it is comfortable for conversation, and has an extensive menu, so that people with different tastes and allergies have good choices. Everyone can find good options. Some of us also like it because of certain very reliable dishes (for example, the trout) which can be counted upon to be always well prepared.
Normally when I come to Tango, my first thought is try something new (I always order the crab cakes) and this time was no different. However, it appears the quality of the crab cakes has gone down. I felt they were loaded with fillers needless to say I will not e ordering those anymore. Time to try something else on the menu.
The hostess kept us waiting for 25minutes past our reservation. When our table was ready she stood and pointed to where our table was. We then waited a further 15 minutes for a server to bring us water and then another 10 minutes after that to order. The food was then delayed for 20minutes and we had to keep asking our server for more drinks and more bread. The food was good but pretty minimal and basic, a little over priced for what you got. No good bye from the manager or hostess on the way out to top the night off!
The food was very good. The server was pleasant & accommodating. The pace of the meal was very slow.
This restaurant is patronized by a lot of fat people. It is noisy and the portions of food are unreasonably large. Most of the servers are both overweight and overburdened. My experience was unpleasant.......but the wine was excellent.
Very enjoyable meals at Tango. It can be a bit noisy at times, but overall a fantastic spot. Be sure to ask to Trina!
Great restaurant. Would recommend. Love the blacken tuna sandwich.
This restaurant is AWESOME. From the food to the service we enjoyed our date night here. As we dine out often, this will be a place we will return.
Everyone enjoyed their meal, I liked sitting next to train tracks. Apparently a few servers called out but our server handled her tables like a trooper. Was quite busy, hence rather loud, difficult to hear people across the table.
The food is fair. Only thing available to a vegan would be a salad or the one pastor with vegetable dish, but it is so bland! It says olive oil but it tastes like vegetable oil or a bad olive oil company that's cheating. The vegetables taste like they were microwaved which we don't even do microwaving at home. The bread was stale and smelled yeasty, which meant that it wasn't fresh. If you do get a good looking salad, it has sulfur dioxide on the apricots, which cause that bright orange fake color! We are used to nice organic apricots, which are naturally brown, so we definitely know the difference! Vegans beware...!
We enjoyed our dining experience.
Always an enjoyable, relaxing experience.....great food and attentive staff. And if trains are your thing, request seating trackside.
My mom and I are vegetarians who eat seafood and the menu was a good fit for us. I had the blackened swordfish, with roasted potatoes instead of the chorizo mashed potatoes, and snow peas. The fish was moist and tasty, but the sides were a bit dull. My mom got a mushroom ravioli special, topped with asparagus and crab meat, and raved about it. The beer list needs a lot of work—no craft beers, and the only locals ere Yuengling and a local stout, which were decent mixed as a black & tan. There are some great bees made nearby (such as by Victory). We sat at a window overlooking the trains which was fun.
Everything was ok except for my meal. Scallops and asparagus risotto. Both the risotto and the scallops were gummy.
We went for Easter Dinner. Great service. Friendly attentive waitress. Food came out quickly and was DELICIOUS!! My mother said Scallops were the best she ever had. Very interesting menu and loved they had so many gluten free items. Will def be going back and recommending. Only reason Ambiance didn't score higher was we had the misfortune of sitting near people who were talking extremely LOUD.
Seated right next to another table with people when that area of the restaurant was empty.
The only reason I am not checking "excellent" is that the bar service for our waitress was very slow. I had expected the usual excellent and immediate delivery of our drinks. She said the bar was backed up. Saturday night, I guess. But it took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. I don't think it was our server's fault.
The crispy rice flour calamari wasn't crispy & lacked seasoning. I ordered my steak Medium, it was close to Well. My wife ordered her steak Med-rare, it came out close to Well. The side of garlic & oil pasta lacked flavor too and was oddly chopped into small pieces. The French onion soup was good but the croutons had an "old fryer oil" taste to them. Our server was excellent though so that helped make our experience better. We'll probably give them another shot and try different menu items. The place has a cozy vibe to it. For the price, we expected the food to be better.
I loved my meal but left hungry. Scallops were cut in half across so the portion was really small. Risotto with asparagus was delicious. I would suggest letting the client know small protein. A big healthy green would have helped...more rice than anything. :(
A lovely meal in a nice quiet restaurant where you can hear your companion speak – a rare event these days! I did not like some of the changes in the menu - specifically, doing a kind of American Chinese restaurant presentation: whatever sauce you want with whatever meat/protein (they don't do this in China). For some items , this might be OK, but too often it's just a shortcut to poorly prepared foods.
Party was moved to private room when hostess noticed that the table that had reserved was going to be a bit tight. Very friendly. Server was a little slow but food was good.
Our Sunday brunch was very good, except I did not understand why you had to pay extra with your eggs?
Loved our server, Bailey. She was very attentive and changed the vegetables for my husband's entree and arranged to have ahi ahi tuna in my fish tacos. She was knowledgeable of the wine list and helped us select The presentation of the entrees was very good and the warm bread was welcome when we arrived.
Very nice place. Warm hospitable environment. Very ambitious menu and they delivered. One of my favorite dishes was blackened swordfish and it was as good as i have ever had.
Waiter was terrific my wife ordered harvest salad but couldnt eat it due to indulging in some terrific egg rolls. He took it back and didnt even charge us.
Was a Thursday night, so not too busy, staff was very attentive and nice, food delicious, my friends and I had a great time.
Tango Bistro has a very good menu, the food is well-prepared, service is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxed and relatively quiet. It's a little pricey, but the overall value is good.
Went there for bday. People are great, food is great, price is great. Recommend for any occasion.
We went to tango to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. The food and experience was fantastic. The 4 stars is simply because 2 seperate menu items that my husband was interested in were unavailable. Overall it was delicious and we will be back!
Tango is a neighborhood standby. The food never disappoints. Sarah our waitress was just lovely.
