We were celebrating a birthday and we had a great time
Pianist playing in the background we had a great
Food was merely “okay”, which isn’t good given the high prices. I found my strip steak (medium) on the dry side with the fried yucca unappetizing. Portions were underwhelming given the prices.
Other than the noise level it was fantastic
Great experience.. lovely place.. took my wife to dinner and she loved it
We had a fantastic steak with a great glass of Malbec, with excellent service.
Enjoyed meal , wine and service, look at weekend special wine and food.
Not the first time here, but first time eating the tomahawk ribeye for 2 people. It was the worst I have ever had and at $108 very expensive.
Steak was sent back, ordered medium came less than medium rare. Steak was chewy.
Stick to the regular cuts.
Nice and attentive staff. Excellent atmosphere, quiet for a Friday night. Excellent keyboard player combining tangos and Argentinian songs with Bway and the American songbook staples. Excellent food, even if a bit pricey on some items.
For the prices, there are many better options in Houston for steak. The meat was under seasoned and really not good cuts for the price; $99 for a filet for two and $48 for a strip steak. My daughters seafood pasta we good and she enjoyed it greatly. Service was pretty good. Bottom live we spent $400 for drinks and dinner for 4 and will probably never go back.
1st time there was given a Groupon as a gift. Would definitely go back and eat there even without Groupon. Food was great, great value for the money, very tasty, great desserts.
First great impression, my clients enjoyed the ambiance. Will be back.
There were 4 of us for a business meeting. We reserved the private wine room with Enrique, it can become a bit noisy on the main floor on extra busy nights but they do have several private areas. Food, service and ambiance, fantastic, as always. We also opted for the Chef's / Enrique's Choice menu. Highly recommend!!!!
Service and attentiveness was outstanding. Food was good, and the special lunch for 2 was a lot of food. Very nice experience.
The service was great as always - the staff is very prompt, helpful and most-importantly friendly. Never had a bad experience here.
Excellent as always.
There were 6 of us for a business meeting. We reserved the wine room so the noise level was extremely minimal. On a busy night it does get a bit more loud in the dining area but not to the point where you can not have good conversation. We opted for a “Chef’s choice - and it allowed for different options according to individual’s preferences” menu and Enrique, our server chose the wines as well as conferred with the chef. No thinking required. The wine was exquisite, the food phenomenal and the service supreme. The next day at the office one of our guests mentioned it was probably the best meal he had ever had. The other guests concurred.
Great ambience, food portion was good but the food taste average. Expected better for the price. Service was great.
I had called in earlier to confirm reservation details. It was my wife's birthday and I would need a small cake. We arrived about 30 minutes earlier and there was no one at the receptions desk. In the back I waved to get the attention of a group of employees talking in a cluster. Once seated. I asked if the Tango Dancers would begin at 7:30pm and was told that there would be no Tango dancing because the dancer called in sick. I was very disappointed. We then ordered our food which was of normal quality one would expect in exchange for the high prices. No one ever brought the cake to celebrate my wife's birthday. After our dinner, on the way out, I asked another person at the front desk what had happened to the tango dancers, and was told that they do not have any tango dancers anymore. I further inquired about the tango dance classes and was given a card and told to call for new information. There would be no more tango classes at the restuarant. This was not a good experience for me.
We had a great time for our post Valentines dinner. Enjoyed watching the Tango and food and drinks were awesome.
Food was great! The Cuatro Leches was amazing but extremely tiny portion for $12! The waiter was not friendly and served our side of creamed spinach after our main meal was served and finished...so we sent it back. Then the second beer that we ordered was never delivered! This was disappointing and will probably not go back since there are so many other places to try.
Couldn't ask for a better flavored steak. Really enjoyed the experience
We had a great time. Will be back. The staff were so accommodating, the food was great, the drinks were great. One of my top favorite places now. Thank you for the experience.
Wrong food (both entree and appetizer) was delivered to table. Well over $200 meal, only to have my significant other’s steak cooked wrong. Took over 40 minutes to get initial appetizer out.
Short story...time to get drinks was very slow, many of the choices on wine list were not available...we finally order, appetizer was excellent...then we wait over an hour for main course and as we were asking for our check without eating the food finally came. We accepted it and ate, it was obvious that the chef was over worked that night cause the food here is usually outstanding. Our server understood our issues and got our check taken care of. Tipped him well. It was not a good valentines night experience, but the owner did take responsibility and that means a lot. This place is usually very good
I decided to give this another try, after experiencing poor service about a year ago. We were seated at a back corner table. The waiter promptly delivered water and bread, then disappeared. After waiting over 10 minutes to place our wine and food order, we departed, never to return.
Great, food and wine was amazing! Ambiance was pretty good as well.
Delish. Everything we had... The chicken empanadas, chorizo, Akaushi ribeye, grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes and crepes for dessert!! And our wine was perfect. We will be back!
We really enjoyed the ambiance, on Valentine’s Day this year. The tango dancers were entertaining, the service was excellent and the food was “just right” in quantity and quality. Thanks for a memorable evening.
The waiter was not very helpful about explaining the different cuts of steak.... the filet was over cooked and needed A1 sauce to eat the steak. Was not worth the entire price of dinner!
Terrific, efficient service from young, well-groomed, sexy waiters. We had a tomahawk rib-eye. I liked the fact that it was served on a small table top grill (after it had been perfectly cooked in the kitchen). The beef was cut at the table, into approx. 4 oz. strips. The bone was placed on the grill, and the meat strips overlapping the bone. This way, the meat stayed warm without cooking more. The side of mashed potatoes was whipped well with butter. Very good!
We have two dogs, and there was only one very long bone left. Our waiter took the bone back to the kitchen, chopped it in half, and each of our dogs enjoyed an 11” bone.
Great selection of Argentine favorites not commonly found in other restaurants — Milanesas, mollejas, empanadas — all made for a very authentic meal. The wine list was impressive, particularly for Argentine wines, ranging from everyday good value wines to estate grown amazing vintages. The Tango group that played during dinner was also very good.
Surprisingly, the most disappointing part of the meal was the beef, which should have been the highlight. While the cuts tried to straddle the way things are labeled in Argentina and also in the US ( eg NY Steak is approximately the same as a Bife de Chorizo), the transition was not always successful and the tastiness of the meats could have been better.
I ordered chicken. It’s not easy to make chicken real tasty, but they did. The veggies were sautéed perfectly. The waiter recommended wine that fit our taste perfectly and the desert was legit. The server was attentive but never made us feel rushed.
Great service, good food and nice atmosphere. Tango dancing show that you can participate in on Saturday evening and some Wednesday’s. Also a patio for outdoor dining, but jut a fenced in cement patio, needs some character. Food was excellent. The bone in porterhouse for 2 was delicious, but pricy. Overall a good experience, but there are better steak houses to choose from, but the location, service and atmosphere make it a good choice.
First time there and was not disappointed. Great service along with good food. Will definitely come back.
Amazing experience from top to bottom. Food and service were beyond expectations.
Great Argentinian flavor, they have good pasta, seafood and vegetarian options. It was a great choice for new year's eve
The hostess was very accommodating. We told her that we knew the band and she made an extra effort to seat us close to the music. The food was very good. Service was a bit slow but it was New Year’s Eve and the restaurant was busy so understandable. Excellent dessert!
Empanada appetizers are always a treat. Steaks were done as ordered and very flavorful. Noise can be an issue, as tables are close and walls/ceilings do little to reduce the noise.
