Unique and authentic cuisine with amazing service and a strong wine and cocktail list. The lamb and spices were were to die for. The downstairs hookah bar was fantastic and fun after dinner.
Really enjoy the food at this restaurant. We were fasting and since they have halal food, we chose the restaurant for dinner. The noise level is too high at times and the belly dancer, while I appreciate the art form, can be a bit disturbing at times, especially when you are in the middle of your meal.
Morroccan food was new to all of us; Tangierino made a terrific introduction. I would caution newcomers, though,: the flavored lean towards sweet.
Great food and great ambiance. Understaffed and tables downstairs can't accommodate food and hookah at the same time. Always a good time though.l
Excellent food, amazing ambience
I visited Tangierino for my Birthday with my family, it was quaint, dimly lit and intimate just the way I like it. I wanted a different dining experience for my birthday, and a French/Moroccan Restaurant did just that for me, (as I also plan on visiting Morocco in the near future.) I appreciated the attentive service from an informative waitress who was very kind and gave my dinner party and I enough space and time to enjoy our meal without "hovering".. like other places. I had the Chicken B'Stilla and the Tangine D'jaj with a side of Truffle fries.. .. it was very nice. The portions are on the small side so definitely order the full spread from: Salad, appetizer/hors d'oeurves, entree to dessert. We ordered a full bottle of wine. The waitress was so nice to bring out a small dessert scoops of ice cream, with a candle with a Birthday song.. a nice way to end my night. THANK YOU Tangierino.
Tangierino is good for all occasions! Always have a blast. Great food. Great cocktails!
Excellent wine at fair prices and the Moroccan food is exquisite.
Perfect place for a romantic dinner.
Would definitely come back
This was our first time here. I have heard about it from several people. The ambiance was fantastic. My husband and I had such a great time. I cannot wait to return and bring friends with us.
What a perfect dinner! Everything was great especially the delicious food!!!
Everything was great... The food (Lamb), the appetizers (Oysters), the wine (Oregon - Pinot Noir), the staff. Went downstairs to the Hookah bar afterwards - really ended the night well.
The food was amazing! Service was good but could improve!
I liked this place! Something a little different and excellent food
Very quiet on a Sunday evening. We were in a separate room overlooking the street and enjoyed that the windows could be open especially as the restaurant smelled of stale smoke. Maybe from the lounge below
Food good selection of vegetarian and gluten free . Tasty not exceptional
Service pleasant but took forever to find someone to take cc
Our large group was happy with food and menu choice so would recommend for group
We had a superb time, the service was out of this world. The ambiance was so authentic, food was great, drinks were original and tasty.
We celebrated a birthdays. We were sitted in awkward couch next to each other. Other tables were to close to each other. I wish the sitting set up was better.
RSVP was 8:45pm. Arrived on time finally seated at 9:10pm after waiting and being told our table would be ready in 5 minutes which lasted until 9:10pm. Once we were seated the service went uphill. Attentive waitstaff who made suggestions on food and beverages. In the end we had a great time.
This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. Our server gave us a spot on wine recommendation for a Morrocan red. The Sultan Kadra was fantastic with each bite offering a great burst of a number of flavors that paired well together. The belly dancing and music add to the ambience and the hookah lounge downstairs is fun for an after dinner drink.
I'm familiar with Moroccan food and restaurants and I understand that this restaurant is fancier than the others, but I don't understand why is it way overpriced. A chicken leg tagine shouldn't be more than 20$ because there is nothing in the ingredients makes it that expensive. The taste was ok, couscous doesn't same the real couscous at all. The restaurant has beautiful decorations and an ok lounge for people who like to smoke hookah.
Seriously one of my favorite restaurants in the city; great food, really nice service, terrific atmosphere. Can't wait to come back again soon.
Love this local Charlestown spot. All around excellence
Aside from a high chair, nothing to occupy young children.
What a disappointment - made a reservation earlier in the day. Was in town visiting my parents I don't get to see all the often, and when we arrived we were told no tables were available and our only option was to sit at the bar at a high top table in front of a tv. We were forced to leave because the restaurant was unapologetic/unaccomodating. Luckily found another spot nearby.... but really, what's the point of having a recommndetion. And to add insult, the restaurant marked the open table reservation as if we were a no-show.
Menu offers a French section and a moroccan section with a variety of good choices on both sides. Food well prepared. Tagine Djaj (chicken) is highly recommended. Service was good. Decor and ambience well above average. Parking on street is tricky but they have valet parking.
Our California relatives insisted we go to Tangierino as they had heard about the restaurant - we were skeptical at first as we had never heard about it - how can that be? The entire experience (e.g. cocktails, food, service belly dancing) was fantastic and is not to be missed. We will be making this a regular stop for our us in the future.
Great restaurant with excellent food and service for everybody.
The tagine beef short rib was outstanding. These folks know how to braise. The wait staff was professional and friendly. A job well done.
I was really excited to try this restaurant for the first time. The belly dancing was amazing!!! However food took forever to come out and they were not even busy. Our table was in the middle of the room and we were the only table in the center. It was very awkward. We had asked to moved to a table on the said and they stated no it was reserved. Up until I left, that table was still open.
First time there - Great service and ambiance. A bit pricey. Parking is limited due to residential neighborhood in Charlestown, best to just valet.
One of the worst food I've ever had. Everything was bland. I was expecting the full flavor of spices Morocco is known for- but I got none of that. I had the short ribs and my friend had the lamb shank. Both meats were ok...but the couscous and potato gratin were not good at all. There was no substance or flavor to the food whatsoever.
The drinks and Chicken B'stilla were good. And our server was very sweet and knowledgeable.
Although it was restaurant week we stuck to the regular menu and I'm highly disappointed at the overall experience with the food.
The location is not parking friendly so I had a good 5min walk. The service was great, great staff, great ambiance. The food was great but the portions were small for some of the dishes and for their prices. I loved the seasoning and the dessert and tea were my favorite. Enjoyed the belly dancer's performance.
Went to Tangierino with a couple of friends and we had a great time. The food was good, the service was excellent, and we had a awesome experience. They were doing restaurant week, so we got to try different menu options. Highly recommended if you want to explore something new.
Excellent food, very friendly service - beautiful, exotic atmosphere. Especially enjoyed the martini I had infused with cucumber and rosewater (can't remember the name, it's one of their signature cocktails) and the lamb was out of this world. Excellent Baklava as well.
I wouldn't go again. Menu selection didn't excit me. A ok night.
The food was fantastic. They need to update the website. We went for Tapas and Beely Dancing and when we got there the menu did not include any tapas and we were told belly dancing was also not available on Sunday. The website says it is there on Sundays at 8pm. That said the food, atmosphere and service were all excellent.
Very good meal and fun. Issue with Open Table. Although I had a confirmation from Open Table, the restaurant did not have our reservation. They were very nice and accommodated us.
The service was superb, the food outstanding, best Tuna Tartar I have ever had!
Food and cocktails were phenomenal. Definitely worth the visit. Tuna tartare, hummus app, and eggplant tower entree was a excellent combo for the two of us. We even got a few minute belly dancing show! Enjoyable evening.
My husband and I live in Fort drum New York we drove to Boston for the long weekend and we were looking forward to this dining experience which is very different From options we have in Northern New York. The food was really good but a little pricey for the quantity. The service was very slow, I personally don't mind it being slow , But my husband wasn't impressed. I just looked at it as another reason to order a second bottle of wine. :)
