The food was fantastic. I like spicy. Many items are spicy even though they aren't marked that way. Be sure to ask. I had Vegetable Biryani. It was phenomenal.
Very slow service, even though it was 5:00 PM on a Thursday and we were the only party in sight. Waitress was not very knowledgeable of the menu selections. My brother in law’s soup came 5 minutes after his main course ! What’s the point ? Also I asked for a ‘5’ on the spice scale and I would say it was barely a 1. The Chicken Tikki Masala was nothing to write home about. Reminded me of the stuff I get from Costco. If it wasn’t for the Groupon I would say this wasn’t worth it. Won’t be back anytime soon. There are far better and spicier Indian Restaraunts here in the metro more deserving of my hard earned money.
We’ve been coming here at least once a month for the last year and a half, since moving to Norton Commons. The kitchen is pretty capable but service is borderline incompetent and has gotten worse with each visit. Last night our entrees were served 20 minutes apart. On our way out the door I pointed this out to the manager, who seemed neither surprised nor troubled about it. I don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon.
A family favorite! We make it a point to come to Tabdoori once a month for yummy Indian food!
It was a good experience. All the stuffs were very good.
So delicious every time!! Can’t beat the price, service or flavors.
The vegetarian food was all very good . But the meat starters were very dry and spicy
The chicken lollipops are to die for. Everything very tasty. Mr friends are looking forward to a return visit. Can’t wait for patio to be open for drinks and small plates.
The food was very tasty but the buffet line and setup was very crowded.
My co-workers and I ate at Tandoori Fusion for the first time. We sampled many different dishes, with the table enjoying vegetable samosas and the spicy potato dosa as appetizers. Both were excellent. I ordered one of the lentil dishes, not because I'm vegetarian but it simply sounded delicious, and I was right! They have a great happy hour with $3 Mondavi wine, draft beer, and well drinks Tuesday through Saturday. Fairly empty when we arrived at 5:30, but within a short time many of the tables were taken.
Wide variety of choices on the menu. Server was well informed about the menu. Vegetables are grown on their nearby farm. Can’t wait to go back and try the buffet.
We had a wonderful time at this new Indian restaurant in Louisville.
The service was top notch on Valentine's Day and the food was wonderful.
Tandoori Fusion (TF) should be crazy busy next Valentine's Day especially if they keep their V-Day special going. You and a date could get roughly $100 worth of high quality food and service for $40! Crazy good value.
Apart from the value the food is great. The chef can COOK. The goat curry was delightful. The slow roasted chicken in lentil gravy, wonderful. The speciality rice was aromatic and delicious. TF may need to employ a pastry chef soon because the desserts were okay but I rarely go to an Indian restaurant for sweets. So take this with a grain of salt.
All in all. Great experience and execution on a night that holds the highest amount of expectations. I felt like we underpaid—almost high way robbery style, for the experience we had there.
The food was excellent, the service was supreme, the ambiance very nice - it was just a bit crowded after 1 pm on Sunday with people standing waiting to be seated. All in all, this is a great Indian restaurant with authentic food.
Great food at a reasonable price. Loved the music.
Food was very average and the servers were horrible- very bad first and last experience
Food was good but the reason why they are getting one star is because of their service. Had specifically mentioned twice that the order is all vegetarian, confirmed with our waitress and she said, 'Don't worry, we will take care of it. ' Shortly after once the food came in, one of the orders had meat on it. A few family members who had never ate meat in their entire life, ended up eating a few slices of it that had meat in it. Waitress confirmed that there was indeed meat on that order and it was a 'mistake'. What's worst is that another person came in (not sure if he was the manager or owner) with a smiling face, and says that 'We make this order with meat whenever someone places it.' Smiles again and leaves. Sorry, I don't think it's funny, especially when you can't get the order right, and not even have decency to apologize to your customers who are vegetarian and haven't ate meat in their entire life. Won't be going to this place again.
The food here is excellent. The service left a lot to be desired. They brought one appetizer and then the other didn't come out until the rest of the meal. We also had drinks that sat unfilled for quite a while. When you're eating spicy Indian food, you need a refill of drinks. This was not crowded, so I'm not sure what the holdup was.
F#*^king fantastic! Loved the Cauliflower and the lamb vindaloo. AND the dosas!
I was not impressed with this restaurant. First, we ordered the sampler appetizer. The empanada was but but the other choices were mediocre at best. I ordered a soup before my meal and the meal came out the same time as the soup. I got the lamb chops, supposedly chefs favorite. Well, not sure why. They were over seasoned and over cooked. We also tried the pickled vegetables, no thank you, not good. The wine, however, was only $3 which was a bonus.
One of the best hang out for non-vegetarians. Must try Murgh Biruani and Murgh Lollipop, they reminded me of the Indian taste of spices.
This was my first visit to TF. My server did not know anything about the menu ie: beers on tap, was unable to answer questions about the food. The service was slow but The food was good.
Service is above and beyond. Food is fantastic. Dishes with heat are tasty and not overwhelmingly spicy, just right. Seekh kebab on point!
Lunch buffet was good. Great flavor and deal. Will return.
We made a reservation based on an open table recommendation, positive ratings and a great looking menu. Unfortunately it was a disappointment across the board. When we got there at 7 PM and it was essentially empty. We first went to the bar where we were told there was no bartender so drink options would be limited. Once seated there were long delays for drinks, we were told there were no wine glasses so they gave us champagne glasses. After an hour wait for our food we spoke to the manager and asked for our bill to leave. It was at that time they started to bring out a portion of what we ordered. The appetizers never made it. The food was messy, bland and overdone. To top it off we were up all night sick from what we ate. I can't imagine they'll be open much longer.
Other reviews that noted subpar service (although friendly) were consistent with our experience. Food was very good, but drinks did not come out together, nor did entrees and sides. Had to wait a long time for dessert only to be told they were out of what we ordered. Had to wait even longer for the check and for that to be picked up. Also there was loud live music that was inconsistent with a restaurant with this extensive a menu. Just not the experience we were hoping for.
Poor service although they tried and were nice. Food so spicey we couldn’t finish it - they told us what was hot but then made ours same way. Loved the music and mood there
Great consistency of high-quality Indian food at Tandoori. From what I understand most of the food comes from local farms which is a nice plus and you can taste the freshness. I certainly suggest the Gobi Manchurian as an appetizer and lamb chops for dinner or try one of their excellent in house made curries. Naan is also made from scratch in house cooked in their own tandoor oven and it shows as the garlic cilantro naan is wonderful.
First time dining at Tandoori Fusion. We were excited about the extensive menu options which has something for everyone.! We enjoyed our dinner but 2 items were too spicy for me to eat, 3 other items ordered were very good! Restaurant has a happy hour and had live music on the patio the evening we dined there. We will go back but will be much more selective on our choices. Also, hope the service and knowledge of the servers improves with time.
I was pleased to find Tandoori has a weekday buffet option whihc allows me to taste various foods and items i would not normally order. A good find were filled Dosa bites on the buffet along with Biryanai and various other vegetarian dishes. Goat curry was nice as well. Naan kept coming to the table so it was quite a deal udner $10 that I have not seen anywhere else. I will be backagain soon!
This was our first visit to this restaurant. Food was very good. Nice ambiance. Our waitperson was delightful, but the food did not come out together. Each of our entrees came out one by one, then my rice, then my guests rice, then the bread, then side dishes. My sense was that it was a kitchen issue. If not, then as it was very quiet at the time we were there, waitstaff should work together to get food out simultaneously for each table.
Slow service. Dishes reasonably good but served randomly.
I really enjoyed myself an Tandoori! The food was delicious and I highly recommend the Tikka Masala. The wait staff was really friendly and explained a lot of the menu to me because I didn't know some of the Indian dishes.
